Wahlbuger app won't work for the Lees Summit HyVee store.I had to call and get the URL for the HY'Vee meals to go site. When I arrived at HY'Vee to pick up the order I was told to get in line with the customers who were placing their orders at the take out point. My order was incomplete. Chicken Caesar salad and all sauces and dressing were missing. When I called Hy''Vee the agent said she didn't know how to refund for the missing items. Later an agent from Door Dash called to say my salad would be refunded. I didn't use Door Dash. There are many problems with this setup. Better to use another food vendor nearby. There are many in Lees Summit who have fine tuned their pickup process and will get your order correct. read more

Had the Mac and cheese burger and my girlfriend had the Ruben. Both were excellent. They have different specials every night and on the night we went (Monday) all beers were half off. They have a large selection of beer on tap so we each tried a flight and tried some new beers. This was a repeat visit and we will be back again! read more

Great service and great quality food. If you're shopping or in the area they have specials and drinks for a quick bite or meal. The flatbread is awful don't get it. But the BURGERS are phenomenal out of this world amazing! The fries as well!! I don't usually eat red meat either. The menu is simple and doesn't offer many chicken options. I've attached photos of the menu to this review. I had a coupon so I used that to score a free dessert. Chocolate cake my favorite of course! 100% worth it. And service was great and attentive. By the way it's worth noting they have a weekend BREAKFAST BUFFET with eggs, potatoes, fruit, chicken, waffles, Bacon, sausage, and pancakes. read more

This is my second time at Market Grill. I keep trying to like it but the prices are restaurant level for supermarket/gas station quality food. Tonight was half priced appetizers and whiskey at the bar. The whiskey was excellent but the teriyaki wings were breaded so heavy that they were more like general tso's chicken. The waitress suggested sushi but I previously saw the sushi maker ( a kid reading instructions on how to make sushi). I've had very bad luck with several things at Hy-Vee since their renovation. The store looks great but I've been sold spoiled shrimp, Chinese food that tasted like chalk and yogurt that was a year expired. 10/2/17: update from my 3rd visit. Tonight the food was good. I tried the Rueben sandwich with the soup of the day (chicken noodle). Large sandwich, good amount of meat and nice taste. The soup was a thicker homemade style chicken noodle which was nice. I was expecting a can soup style so that was a good surprise. The waiter brought the wrong dish for one of my kids but they fixed it quickly and took it off the bill. Excellent service tonight. The prices are high but not ridiculously high if you stick to a sandwich. read more

This was our first visit. HyVee had a cafe here before but with the total renovation of the store they added this restaurant like they have at other locations. For Saturday night they weren't busy. Tv's with sports on. Concrete floor, but scenic view of the pond. Wait staff was friendly but not in a hurry. Nice patio area. My steak and potato were fine, but my son's pasta and my wife's pasta while very good were not hot...they probably waited on my food. The dinner rolls were unique and delicious. Portions and prices were fair. Good menu selection, breakfast served all day. Not as fancy as I anticipated, but a solid place to get some decent food. read more

Ordered Two of the KC Takeaway Specials that were advertised on TV. They were advertised to be on a toasted Roma bun, instead they were on a small hamburger bun. The meat had no barbecue flavor and there was no pepper jack cheese. Very disappointed, don't know what was so special about it when a Chief's player talked it up so much. read more

We stopped here to eat on Sunday afternoon. We had previously eaten at the Market Grill in Olathe, KS and always received good food and good service. We were seated quickly as the place was pretty empty, around six tables in use. Our server was personable and quick with our drinks. We ordered and waited about 20 minutes and our son received his food. We waited another 20 minutes and our food still hadn't shown up. (We had ordered a sandwich and a cheeseburger.) I went and requested our bill from a server and she went to find our server. While we were waiting, one of the employees yelled across the restaurant that she needed the manager because one of her tables was trying to leave. We ended up just leaving cash on the table for our son's meal and our two sodas and walked out. read more

Had to see what the fuss was about so we decided to try the HyVee Market Grille for dinner. I ordered the Bacon Jalapeno Wontons and they were very good. Crispy Wontons and delicious filling. I was not crazy about the maple syrup like drizzle over them. I think a different combo of sweet to savory would have worked better. With that said we ate them all. For main dishes we ordered the Sicilian Flatbread, Chicken asparagus Carbonara. It was all good but I was not blown away at that price point. Service was fantastic! The waitress noticed that my wife did not like her soup so she went out of her way to make sure my wife was satisfied with her soup by bringing her another bowl that she had to get from the soup and salad area of the store. We really appreciated the extra effort. All in all it was as a good experience just did not exceed our expectations food wise. read more

I normally go to the Grille in Raytown but tried this one since I was in the area. Mistake must have been a bad night, our food came out cold had to wait Again for the redo, there must have been a-lot of complaints that night because another couple never got their food they ordered. Funny thing is they messed up my husbands food too but only offered one dessert for the trouble. It was sushi night so first I tried to order the salmon rolls with smoked salmon, FYI this place doesn't offer the smoked but I have had it at the Raytown location. Went for Sunday brunch. Was told wait was 20-25 minutes. It took over 40. Saw at least 5 tables while being seated that had not been bussed. Ordered Bloody Mary when we sit down and after 10 minute wait I cancelled the drink order. The quality of food on buffet was below average overall. Definitely not worth the wait. read more

We stopped in tonight for a quick dinner after the amazing and fast service we received the other night. Needless to say we won't be back. It started when the host seated a party before us when they got there 10 minutes after us, when I confronted him about it he said "no they got here before you and went into the store" then brushed me off like he didn't have time to address the situation. Once our 40 minute wait (We were estimated 25 even though there were open booths and tables) was over and we were finally seated the waitress came to get our drink order and all 3 of us ordered water, which never got refilled, she brought us our drinks and took our order my father in law got the AYCE crab legs, which came out cold with none of the claw crackers because "We've been so busy we just haven't had time to order them." My husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries with a side of bbq sauce and honey mustard, this came out lukewarm with a side of ketchup no honey mustard and no bbq sauce. I got the tempura shrimp roll and a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, the sushi was decent but three $2 side of potatoes was literally 3 small tablespoons of potatoes. When I spoke with the manager about the side of potatoes all she could say was "Yea, that's corporate policy". She did comp all of our meals, however we never received an apology about anything that happened tonight. I'll be really honest when I say that if I could give 0 stars then I would. read more

Have gone a minimum of 5 times and the first two were good visits. Increasingly good service went south and food is not warm when delivered. This week went at lunch and the hostess wanted to seat us next to construction. Just not happy with this place anymore. Raytown has excellent food and service. read more

First time eating there. 6 pm on a Friday night. They were not busy at all (maybe 1/4 full, no wait). The food was Fantastic, but the service was atrocious. First, our waitress kept telling us she'd bring us out sweet bread, which we never did get, but all the tables around us did. Next we waited almost 45 minutes for our meal, which was the crabrangoon flat bread & chicken asparagus pasta. It was great! I presented my 1/2 off entree coupon and was told the flatbread was considered an appetizer, not an entree so I couldn't use it (it was not listed under the appetizers). Which was fine, just slightly disappointed. And it took another 15 minutes for her to take my payment so we could go. I sure hope they get it together! Like I said the food was great, but it shouldn't have taken us an hour and 15 min to eat there. And never once did they apologize or give a reason why it took so long. I'll give it one more try sometime in the future only because the food was good, but if the service still stinks I'm done! read more

I thought the food was fresh and very tasty. Portions are solid and my kids loved it. We will be coming back for sure. No complaints at all.
