Rooms were comfortable, smelled clean, and were decorated nicely. The view of the harbor and skyline was amazing & peaceful. Compared to other hotels I've stayed at, the Hyatt was quiet - very little bleed-over noise from adjoining rooms. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. The location of this hotel, right by the airport and on the water overlooking the city, would suggest a 5-star rating. Our room was nice, clean, upscale decor, nice amenities. The hotel restaurant is a highlight, with a terrace on the water including lighted fire pits for chilly evenings. The only flaw is the cost. Very pricey! So, buyer beware. And ask for a room overlooking the water and the city (spectacular night view). Also ask for any discounts they might have - like AAA or senior or student. They won't offer, you have to ask. read more

Wow, this hotel was great, we stored our bags for 3 days before our actual stay, when we came back the employee who took the bags remember us immediately. The front desk gave us early check in no problem to help us out and gave us a room overlooking downtown Boston. I recommend this hotel, the staff was great and friendly. We just had our wedding here and had a fabulous experience. I highly recommend it for those interested in planning a large meeting/event. As for the hotel rooms - they were great! The water view is fabulous, but the airport view is also pretty cool. Nicely-appointed bathrooms and very comfortable beds (no mini fridge). The restaurant downstairs just won best clam chowder in Boston and has great seating outside with fire pits. Would only recommend they get rid of the terrible muzak playing out on the patio. This place is far too trendy and awesome for such bad music. In terms of being far from Boston - water taxis are your best friend! Only $10 each from right outside the hotel and takes 8 minutes to get anywhere along the Harbor. Such a fun trip, as well! Very helpful hotel staff at every turn. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. I'll be more likely to visit Boston in the future just so I could stay at this hotel again. The impression that I got was that this hotel was trying pretty hard to get the important things right, even if it did let some of the little, minor things slip here and there. My room was spacious and well-furnished. The view of the harbor was really nice. The staff seemed to be very efficient. The hotel grill is a bit pricey, but the ambiance is very nice. It's a hotel experience that's probably just as good as the $400-$600 a night downtown hotels but at a much more reasonable price. if you plan to travel Boston on public transportation, the hotel is a bit isolated. I took a regular taxi to get there from the airport (roughly $8 fare). An easier way to get there from the airport might be to take the airport shuttle to the water taxi/ferry stop that is only about 100 feet from the hotel. To get to the subway, the easiest way might be to take that shuttle to the airport and then switch to the Silver Line bus at one the airport stops. Or you could just take the water taxi downtown. There is almost always a water taxi available and the concierge can call one for you. The taxi pilots are very friendly and being out on the water makes getting around Boston a lot more fun than the subway. read more

This hotel was great. Excellent service, clean, spacious room with many available amenities like robes, hot water kettle, toiletries, and a very friendly and helpful staff. I feel a little bad, giving them only 3 stars, but this is why: Restaurant needs a little help. Food not great (trying too hard for fancy/upscale/interesting) and service could improve. It's also the only restaurant available so you are a captive consumer. But the larger issue: I booked on Hotel Tonight. Told them I had already paid when I checked in, yet, they charged me for the room, so i paid twice. When I called to tell them the error, they were extremely apologetic and fixed it right away. But someone else might not check their charges and not catch the mistake. So... CHECK YOUR HOTEL CHARGES IF YOU BOOK ON HOTEL TONIGHT That said, I would stay here again. WORST experience ever!!!!!! The waiter at the restaurant in the hotel was RACIST!!! The waiter gave us the smallest table while there were empty tables all round us and everyone else had a whole table even if they were by themselves, he took our order with very bad attitude and he was so slow so i had to go up to him and ask for the check myself!!!! I would never come back here again or check into and hyatt hotel again. read more

Right next to the airport with a fantastic view of the Boston skyline. I came here and toured the facilities while looking for a semi-formal venue for my sorority. The bell hop who took us around was so hot and we were soooo the typical, immature girls giggling and staring at his butt...anyway, the catering director, Amy, left a beautiful packet of all the information and was so sweet during all of our correspondance. The event rooms were beautiful although lacking in decor (made up for by the view). The terrace overlooking the Boston harbor was stunningly beautiful. The whole place made me feel sexy and happy! The modern decor matched with the awesome level of service and attention of the event staff (and let's not forget cute-butt bell hop who ran around looking for keys to get us into the rooms and gave us free parking) made the Hyatt Harborside a definite contender in our search. read more

After checking out yesterday I felt I should warn people so they can lower their expectations. On the positive side, I agree the harbor view is fantastic! However, the room left a lot to be desired, especially for the price. The TV did not get reception on 90% of the channels. The front desk said that they would send some one up very soon, but after almost 2 hours we called again to say we were going to sleep. The bathroom maintenance was also quite sub par. No ventilation whatsoever, though there is a vent. The shower head was weirdly grouted and not fully attached. The grout in the shower was well past needing to be cleaned. read more

Came to visit for the first time from California in October and had a wonderful time. Weather was great and so was the hospitality. Everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. THIS Beautiful Facility with its Aweseome Harbor Views and Wonderful Staff, donated a Royal and Regal Thanksgiving Feast to my Senior Citizen Community in the Boston Area..We were taken care of like Kings and Queens from the moment we entered the Luxurious Bus we were driven it. Upon arrival, we were ushered into a main Ballroom where the tables were adorned with colorful table coverings ringand attractive dinnerware and drinking glasses....The Staff was Courteous and Friendly..All our needs were anticipated......The FOOD was Spectacular, the Service was beyond expectation.....The atmosphere soon became warm and comfortable and we all felt very much at home and welcomed....There was much Cheer and Joy and before we left, everyone was smiling!!...This Post is to humbly "Thank" the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor for bringing Holiday cheer into the lives of so many Senior and Disabled Citizens which ordinarily could have been an uneventful and sad day...GOD BLESS U ALL!!~ read more

We flew into Boston from LA and got a rental car and just wanted to get our room and order some food and get some rest before heading out of town on a long road trip the next day. The bellman /valet greeted us right away and was charming and smart and efficient. The Front desk did the "I see you booked a king bed on hotels.com but we are very full tonight so we only have two double beds or a king with a handicap bath.". NOT a great way feel welcome for a room you have booked and paid for in advance! The phone in the room was broken and there was no room service menu. Called down to get one and 30 minutes later went down myself to get one and they wouldn't hand one to me saying "the housekeeper has to bring it up.". Three desk clerks behind the desk and they can't hand me a menu that should have been in the room already. The handicap bath reminds me of a shower at summer camp in its style and I'm tired of hotels giving my room to someone else because I flew across the country and arrived late. I am certain Hyatt does not want this to be the way their hotels operate. read more

The hotel was booked last minute and seemed to be a good deal. It was terrible. Still expensive. The room had no closet railing. Just holes in the closet wall. No place to hang clothing for a business meeting the next day. The bathroom had no place to put out cosmetics to get ready in the morning. Was stunned by the lack of amenities at that price when there are so many alternatives at the airport. read more

TERRIBLE!!!! I would give it zero stars if possible. This hotel is a huge rip off. I was attempting to pick up several clients that were staying at the hotel this week . I arrived a bit early and they were not down from their room yet. I was told by the bellhop that I could leave my car in the circle for 18 dollars for the first hour or park it myself in the lot with the broken gate for 12 dollars an hour. Is this downtown crossing? There are 400 spots and they are going to charge 12 dollars for park yourself? RIPOFF!! There is no street parking around here, and they will force you to pay for parking even if you just need to hang out to pick somebody up. Then, after parking my car I decided to have coffee and an english muffin with the people I was picking up to get my hours worth of parking. They charged 3.50 for burnt coffee and my muffin took over half an hour to come and then when it came it was rock hard and burned and cost me 4.00. DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR BUSINESS. You will be greatly disappointed. It definitely lacks the Hyatt standard. Plus. all the soap despensers in the bathroom were empty. Nasty! . read more

I feel ripped off. I booked on priceline based on a quote of $180, but after all the fees and taxes the bill was $230. The icing on the cake, was that we ordered a piece of er.. cake via room service, and after all the fees it was $20, whereas it was on the menu for $7. read more

Stayed at this hotel for four nights and five days during April. The check in process was smooth and easy with snacks and drinks offered right away. The concierge assisted us in planning our day trips and dining during our stay. The recommended restaurants were spot on. They printed tickets and boarding passes for us as well, so helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated with complimentary bottled water stocked daily. We are several times in the hotel restaurant. Great food and wonderful service from very friendly servers who are willing to answer questions about the city. If you like cheeseboards and clam chowder they have the best as well as a nice selection of drinks. To get in to the city they offer shuttle service to the train at no charge or the water ferry docks behind the hotel and costs $20 round trip. The water taxi gets you right up to all the hot spots - aquarium, tea party, tour busses, Fanuiel Hall, etc.... will definitely be back. read more

Very nice hotel that we stayed in for one night before an early morning flight. Room was modern and clean and staff was excellent. Got up at 6:00 and at the airport by 6:20 with a free shuttle service. He was awesome! Will certainly use this hotel again in the future. read more

Ok hotel. At the end of the airport but no jet noise at all. There is however significant noise at all other times of the day - maids up all hours working and in general just a bit too noisy for a Hyatt. Rooms were fine, beds a bit below average for a business hotel. Gym good. Small indoor pool with a hot tub but hot tub was out of order during our stay. Breakfast was excellent. Location is not bad - there's an on demand water taxi that will take you across to everything downtown for $10 one way. Overall I would stay there if the price is reasonable. read more

My mother and I eat here often when she is flying in or out for a visit. The view is incomparable. The food is hit or miss. The lobster sliders were a hit for her the last time we were here. This time it seemed like the tomato slice was the biggest part of the slider. Lobster could have been quite a bit more present. I had the quinoa zucchini burger. It was like many of my attempts at making a veggie burger. Like putting a mashed potato patty on a bun. Mushy. I expected a drier crispier meal with the quinoa in it. The patty flavor was very subtle. Not the kind of thing that can stand up to the additional blandness of a bun. I needed more of the yogurt sauce to add sufficient flavor. I really enjoyed the homemade potato chips. I am very fond of the thicker, crunchy chips that restaurants are making/serving these days and these are right on that trend. We had the canolli dessert. The cheese filling had a lovely citrus zest flavor but lacked any sweetness which most people expect in a canolli. Lastly, one of the wait staff was a bit touchy with my mother which she did not appreciate. read more

Have stayed here when in Boston visiting relatives. Since this is an airport hotel it may not be the most convenient place to stay if your exploring the city but it can be done. No need for a car in the city. The city is compact and you can walk mostly everywhere or hop on the T(subway). The rooms at this property are very clean and open. You get views of the airport or the Harbor and city skyline on the other side. read more

Well-run place, that's for sure. Classy. Went to a wedding there, had a few problems that could've been major. A purse was left in a public area, for a long time, yet nothing was disturbed or taken from it by the time it was found. A reservation was accidentally cancelled by Front Desk but they made good & a water view room was made available. The parking fee: $22/day, $25/overnight was going to eat up my wallet but they had a discounted "event" fee of $15. It really helped. Driving there is weird. Airport roads, w/o names, make me crazy though the signage was adequate. And it was totally quiet in what's gotta be that odd mix of low-rent airport real estate vs high-power view. Very clever, Hyatt people, v. clever. Front people at door + concierge = super helpful. If they had only been able to change the brisk wind down to a light breeze! Oh well, they would have if they could have! Would highly recommend. read more

When booking the hotel room we were asked what view we wanted, the guy suggested harbor view, I agreed. We did not get the "romantic view" we were promised we got to airport view. We were told it was "walking distance" to the subway, we had to take a shuttle bus to the subway every time. It took 15 each time to wait for the shuttle. We were told taxi's from hotel would be no more than $20, cheapest was $30. We also checked in and left the room and came back to staff just cleaning the room, was it dirty when we checked in?! Also was told check out was at 12pm, at 9am staff started knocking on door to try and clean the room, and continued every hour. We felt VERY rushed. Was pretty but not worth the money for all these things we were "promised." read more

Nice hotel, nice room - nice exercise equipment - small pool - gorgeous view - only one restaurant and it is ridiculously expensive, especially breakfast. The buffet is $25!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine a family of 4 spending ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS on breakfast alone!? If you order off the menu PANCAKES will cost you $17!!! We got a bagel for $5 (cheapest thing) and even had to go get it and toast it ourselves for that price. Trouble is there is nothing else nearby but you could take the water taxi for $10 and walk to a lot of different types of places and get something cheap for less than eating there. Dinner for 4 with only 2 alcohol drinks and one ordering off children's menu was $137 (we did get dessert). Again, cheaper to take the water taxi which is RIGHT next door and walk somewhere. I have to say though that the view was GORGEOUS (watched the sunset over the city skyline and harbor during dinner). read more
