    Sink space

I loved Hyatt Centric Boston at Faneuil Hall!! I have never stayed at this location of Hyatt Centric but I have stayed in the NYC location and they both exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival they give you free water battles in the lobby. The check-In experience was easy and the people were super friendly. The room was small but very nice. There were so many beautiful floor to ceiling windows that made the room nice and bright. The bedroom space was nice and open. The bathroom was nice butthere was no door separating the sink and shower space from the main bedroom. But overall if you want a chic and stylish hotel in the center of Boston, than I highly recommend Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston!!

Perhaps the smallest room I've ever booked. No chair to sit, just a bed. Tiny!!
    Michael R.

This Hyatt property is centrally located and very convenient, but we found the room to be exceptionally small, smaller than anything we've ever stayed at even in Manhattan and Europe. While the bed was comfortable, the room was so small that there wasn't even room for a chair to be provided. Very tiny shower with no tub. I will say the shower water pressure was strong and the water was hot, which I find lacking in many other hotels. You almost needed to walk sideways when stepping out of the bed. The room we were given did not have much of a view. Checkin was efficient, and our room was ready early. Valet parking was fine, but a bit slow for pickup. Allow 20+ minutes for your car. The dining room for breakfast was understaffed, and while they were friendly, the two servers could not keep up with the patrons. It made for a very slow breakfast. One of the servers was quite inexperienced, and did not anticipate needs. Could we be the first to ask for syrup and butter with pancakes? By the time they were retrieved our order had gone cold. We could hear him trying to find these items, and nobody in the kitchen seemed to know where they could be! If you decide to stay here, look carefully at the room description. They all seem small, but some are tiny. Choose according to your needs. I would choose to have breakfast elsewhere

Issues with floor leaking dirty water
    Eric C.

Look at picture to see if my complaint with property is valid? The floor is leaking brown water. I suspect it's from the shower, water getting under the flooring then leaking out through the joints. Most business try to ( even if the attempt is passive) appease their customer. Not this property. I get this is a historic city but C'MON MAN!!! I stayed here one night with my son. After he took a shower, we began to notice the brown water soiling the towel in floor. When we let the floors desk know, not even an apology was uttered or an attempt to correct the situation. Terribly disappointing. Although this place is close to freedom trail and restaurants, stay here at your own risk. A business is only good if they know how to fix a problem. This place clearly doesn't.

I stayed at the Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall for one night on a recent trip to Boston and I really enjoyed the hotel. Check in: I was able to check into my room early, however, my room wasn't ready the room available was an "upgrade" so I had to pay an addition $25 to get into the room early, which was worth it to get in early, but in terms of rooms, didn't seem much better than what I thought I reserved. The room: Now, the room itself was nice. It was two queen beds. The bedding was soft. The mattresses were comfortable. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The shower pressure was nice too, which is a big plus to me. The staff was warm and friendly too. Location: I really loved the location. It's in a prime spot to so many key highlights in the city and a short uber ride to many others. It's an ideal location. They have a coffee shop and a restaurant in house that I did not try but are a nice option to have.

We booked a stay at this downtown Boston hotel for our trip to Boston to watch the March Madness basketball regional finals. The hotel is located in a good location with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Like any city hotel, the rooms are on the smaller side. The bathroom was very modern but again a little small. The shower had excellent water pressure and temperature, although a bit small. The lobby was very comfy and stylish.

Solid clean downtown hotel. Everything feels clean. Very well located with lots of walk-to options for food and entertainment. And their restaurant and bar is one of the better in the area. Very pleased. If you need a clean downtown spot but don't want to pay for the Ritz, this works great.

I had a great stay here in October 2020 (during Covid). We got a great deal with the hotels being empty and this was the perfect location for exploring Faneuil Hall and the North End. We took the train in from Logan and after exiting the station we were less than a five minute walk to the door of the hotel. We walked or took the train everywhere all weekend... didn't even bother with Ubers. Since we got a great deal, we paid a few bucks more for the slightly larger room upgrade and lucked out with a nice corner room. Considering it was a city hotel, It had plenty of space for four adults and our bags. Plus we had a great view of the old postal building and Faneuil Hall. The front desk was so nice and we became familiar with them as I feel like the hotel was pretty empty and we were coming and going often. They were willing to accomodate any request the best they could. Like when the bar next door was constantly closed (I don't think they were affiliated with the hotel) and with Covid we just wanted to have drinks in our room one night. I was trying to Macgyver an in room cooler because our drinks were warm and the fridge is tiny. The guy at the front found a plastic storage bin he loaned me that I lined with a plastic laundry bag and ice... perfect! We couldn't get any glassware which I thought was odd for a hotel but paper cups made due. With the location, friendliness of the staff, and great price I paid (obviously won't be as cheap once things are back to normal) I would absolutely stay here again.

On the surface, this hotel presents as polished and upscale, but over time it became clear that it is a full-on Monet--looks good at a glance, but the closer you get, the more issues appear. During my stay, I was required to move rooms three times--once voluntarily after an upgrade, and twice due to serious maintenance issues, including a sprinkler-system flood. In subsequent rooms, I experienced repeated heating failures, inconsistent hot water, and even a shower head detaching during use. The heating issues were ongoing and never fully resolved. On multiple occasions, my room dropped to 66-67 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 80. Even after maintenance visits, the room never consistently warmed beyond 75 degrees. On the morning before my departure, I woke to cold air blowing again, confirming the problem persisted through the end of my stay. Management follow-through was disappointing. Promises to check back or assist were not kept, and communication was inconsistent at best. While beverage credit was offered, it did not come close to addressing the cumulative disruption, lack of rest, and stress caused by ongoing room issues over nearly seven weeks. The saving grace of this hotel was the weekday bartender, Rebecca. Monday through Friday, she greeted my colleagues and me with genuine warmth, professionalism, and grace after very long workdays. She was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, that level of service was not present on weekends, and our group ultimately chose to avoid the hotel bar until Rebecca returned. That said, I do want to acknowledge Shirley, Wendy, James, and Nate, who were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, as well as the valet staff, who were always efficient and courteous. This hotel may work for a very short stay if expectations are modest. For long-term or extended stays, however, the operational issues, lack of follow-through, and inconsistent hospitality do not align with the image or price point the property presents.

That time due to everything going on in the world with minimal travel we enjoyed a cheap rate for an entire weekend with probably the best view offered for the hotel of TD Garden as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Which I know it's just a bridge but it was a nice sight for an in-city view. This most recent stay was due to a concert at TD Garden my wife and I were in town for. Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. Definitely a hotel worth looking into while visiting Boston!
