I Mac and cheese at Chandler mall. Most disgusting food ever! This is all I ate. Cost $15.00.

Very pricey for bland food. I ordered a bowl with Mac and cheese, onions mushrooms and meat. It had no flavor. The meat was cubed. That was weird looking and bad tasting. I will never go there again. I thought for the price, I would get something yummy. It was awful!

Short version: if I could give half stars, I would have chosen 2-1/2. My meal had slightly more flavor than my sisters (she was singularly unimpressed w/ hers). Neither of us have even a small spark of interest in returning. Longer version: I don't enjoy rating 3-stars or less but I cannot in good conscience rate higher. We stopped in last night as a last-minute decision. First thing we eyed was the large parking lot with plenty of spaces; followed by the long, shared patio (there are two other restaurants in the building); and walking inside was a brightly lit, and colorful environment. Empty of people. But being the holiday weekend, that's no surprise. The menu is fairly extensive & building your own bowl has quite a few options, could take some time trying to decide what works well together. The music in the background was good ol' 80s tunes but was rather loud, making it difficult to hear the young gentleman behind the counter. They have Coke products, so that was a win! We placed our orders, sat at a high top, & the guy brought our orders to the table. Unfortunately, it only took three bites from my sisters plate (sammich, tots, bacon jalapeno bites) and two of mine (build your own bow, tots) to determine everything was rather tasteless. there was no seasoning to the tots (I didn't even taste salt), they were not crispy (not soggy, either, but closer to sog than crisp). I dipped my tots in the cheese sauce they gave my sister & that sauce looked and tasted like watered down, melted cheese. Bleck! I eventually asked for a small dipping container of the sesame ginger dressing but that did not help the tots as I had hoped. Not being wasteful people, and hoping we could stomach the leftovers later, we did not toss the food in the trash but opted to bring it home. With any luck, adding some seasonings (I even suggested movie popcorn seasonings!) will salvage the remaining food ... we both only ate about half of our meals. So, although a disappointment, it was not the worse place we have dined at. But it also was not a good enough place either of us feel like giving another try. I mean, there's only so much you can do with mac & cheese.

Lobster Mac & Cheese - Delivery

This was the saddest attempt at mac and cheese I have ever experienced. Absolutely tasteless and frankenfood looking. DONT FORGET overpriced.

The interior spoke of old world dining. A quaint and charming decor that told a story of old Italy. The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was efficient and personable. You could tell she enjoyed her job. We indulged in a house Merlot that had a fantastic flavor. We tried the appetizer sampler platter that was just the right size for the two of us. Our entree's were prepared with great care and tasted of wonderfully fresh ingredients. The portion size was just right for us. We did not partake in any desserts, but the list looked just yummy. Just a great location in Old Town Avondale. We are looking forward to our return to try something new.

This is my 7th and last time coming here. I loved it last year. The food is fine don't get me wrong. But when it's wrong or the lady doesn't know how to explain the menu item it's frustrating. It's a nice vibe for a 2-4 person dinner, if you don't care about the space. I couldn't even finish my dinner the way it took so long and with the crammed room you could hear her at another table "I'm so sorry I forgot" "oh let me get that for you". Overall not a good experience besides the wine.

And if you don't know about their affiliation with the dog rescue Almost There, you should. From what I understand, Almost There came first and it sits behind the pizzeria across the parking lot. For our daughter's 16th birthday, we took her and ten friends to do puppy yoga. It was awesome and the girls had a great time. Plus the instructor Meg was super chill and the volunteers made sure the experience was enjoyable. Then we walked across the parking lot for an equally amazing lunch. Pizza to the Rescue isn't an ordinary pizza joint. Think elevated. The eclectic interior is hard to describe. It's got a mid-century modern vibe with a mix of boho and tiki lounge. Sitting at the bar, my wife and I took it all in, admiring the decor, sipping our adult beverages, and allowing the girls to celebrate behind us on the patio. The service was excellent. Our server, the bar tender, the busser, and others all worked together as a team. It was also a sight to see. Now the food was unexpectedly good. Seriously, our roasted artichoke heart appetizer belongs in a fine dining restaurant. And so does the pizza. The variety and creativity is impressive, and the pizzas were delicious! The best part of this is the fact that 25% of Pizza to the Rescue's proceeds go to Almost There. Do yourself a favor and go try the pizza. And maybe pick out a puppy to take home with your leftovers. They even have a dog-friendly patio, which makes it even better. They also have an incredible happy hour daily from 2 PM-5 PM. I ordered the meatball sandwich for just $10, and the bread on that sandwich is absolutely to die for. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza with basil oil for $10 as well, which felt like such a steal. I had a well vodka cranberry for $6, which was exactly what you'd expect--simple and fine. The food is what really stands out at this place. It's great food while also supporting a fantastic cause. It's about a 40-minute drive for me, but I've already been twice in the last month. Service can be a little spotty depending on how busy they are, but overall it's totally worth it.

What makes it stand out: * Truly made to order: You watch them start your bowl from scratch. My BBQ Steak & Bacon Mac hit the table so delicious, with that perfect stretch you only get when the sauce is built right then. * Fresh ingredients, no shortcuts: The kitchen is serious about produce. The Roasted Vegetables & Fruit in my salad were crisp and peppered with fresh strawberries. * Customization without the chaos: You pick your pasta, cheeses, and mix-ins, and they build it while you watch. * Salads that aren't just a side hustle: My wife ordered the savannah salad with fresh avocado that was amazing with the Honey Mustard Dressing. This could be a main stop just for salads Vibe & Service Counter service, but the staff calls out your name like they actually cooked for you. Because they did. And I was eating top quality food in minutes. Dessert Don't sleep on the dessert either. The Chocolate Fudge Cake and Tiramisu was amazing. Bottom line If you want mac and cheese that tastes like someone's grandma made it five minutes ago, and a salad that is fresh then this is your place to fill your tummy. Fresh ingredients and made-to-order isn't a tagline here. It's the whole operation.
