I have taken my 3 Maltese for grooming here for the past 4 years. Recently there has been a change of ownership so I was slightly nervous of taking to new groomer and new ownership. I was pleasantly surprised with how they had done some remodeling to update the inside and was very happy of the groomer cutting the hair for all 3 of my dogs to be very cute, well trimmed, and at a great price. My boyfriend bought me a miniature maltese here for Valentine's day this year. We have been looking for a dog for quite some time. We randomly came in with a couple friends that were interested in buying a puppy. That's when we met our little Roscoe at 3 months. Surprisingly we walked out with a dog instead! The owners were so friendly. I'm amazed to see such great reviews for them because they are all true. The owners offered to dog-sit whenever we were unavailable, especially as a little puppy. They even gave us puppy pads and food to start off with. This is our first dog, and once we brought him home he went straight to his puppy pads! AMAZING! They even had him scheduled for his 3rd set of shots with no cost! There is truly an emotional attachment with the owner and the dogs they sell. She didn't want to see Roscoe go. But she made us very happy with such a loving and amazingly adorable puppy! Our visit there was very random, and though we had no intentions of buying a puppy that day, it was the best random moment I've ever had! I bought the family yorkie from the place a year ago, and it was and still is only 4 lbs!! They have the cutest dogs here. I spent so much time there just trying to pick one, cause they are all so freakin cute. Happily wagging and seemingly smiling at me... We also came back because our dog had this weird skin infection. We were all so freaked out for him, but the store gave us FREE medication. What?? FREE medication? The owner obviously truly cares for dogs and it shows. They also do excellent grooming here! I always get so many compliments in my neighborhood when I'm walking him around. This is the one stop place for Dogs. Don't even waste your time going anywhere else. Ive taken my dogs here a few times when they actually had a groomer named Jeff who knew how to cut my dogs hair, He left, and everything went down hill from there. I took them after he left and my dogs came out looking like they were cracked out. She chopped off my dogs hair so bad that I felt like ringing her neck. You walk in there and nobody really know how to speak english, you have to point at the picture and show them how you want it cut. They will nod their head and agree to it. Its kinda cool in a way because you dont have to communicate, just point and go. lol The price for a haircut ranges from 40-70.00 which I personally think is a rip off. If you go across the street you will have better luck at the fish store, since now they opened a dog grooming business inside. Save yourself some money, they actually did a better job. read more

Mr. Spongebob, I'm sorry that your experience wasn't as great as mine, but the management has changed since then and the old groomer that cut your dog is long gone. The owners have changed and the current groomer is the owner herself. My experience was much better. The people there really seem to care about dogs and they look really sincere in loving dogs. They were very happy to greet and help me as soon as I walked in. The dogs here were very cute, were all given the necessary shots, and were very energetic. The prices were also way better than the ones in Beverly Hills. I agree that the people here have poor English skills but I thought that it was great that they tried to communicate with you even if they lacked the skills. Overall, I thought this place was fantastic and I would definitely buy my dog here in the future when I get the money. read more

Ok, I know I said I wouldn't be back but I was looking for a sister for my baby Pearly. I am so glad I went back, because I just found out the old groomer is back! Yay! She is always so friendly and loving to Pearly. She remembered her instantly and was so excited to see her. I will definitely be back. They didn't have any sisters for Pearly that day. On top of everything they were so kind to offer me free day care for Ritz when I had to go away for the weekend! This place is awful! I received a phone call saying that my 8 pound dog had bitten someone in the face and that I must pick my dog up immediately even though I was almost at the border to Mexico to visit family for Christmas. The son of the owner who was there and for me over the phone that until I pick my dogs up they would not be fed or given water under any circumstances and that he also wants me to pay for medical cost when he takes his mother to the hospital. What type of professional takes a dog that they think is being aggressive and hold them close enough to their chest to where the dog can nip them in the face? If something like that were to happen a professional would know better and would also know that that is just a risk you take when caring and unfamiliar dog close to your face. He told me that even though they are closed on Sundays that I would have to return early from my vacation and pick the dogs up the following day. I confirmed with him that I would pick the dogs up at a certain time and he said OK bring the vaccination records with you and then failed to answer the phone or respond to text messages while we were outside for hours waiting to pick up our dogs. Because of the anger in his voice when he called saying that his mother was bed I feared for my dogs safety and it did not help that I heard a dog screaming in the background that he claimed that was a dog being groomed. This place is cheap for a reason, never bring your pet here for anything unless you do not care about your dog! The police showed up and even they do not have a number on file that someone can get a hold of the owners if there is emergency. Would you trust a place that even the police can't contact the owners for if there's emergency situation? Worst place ever and they ruined my Christmas vacation. They don't even give you a receipt when you drop your dogs off. I had to insist on getting one before he gave me a hand written note and put the companies stamp on it. Worst experience EVER!!! I usually take my 3 year old terroir mix to Fumi tropical fish and pets to get her groomed, but they were booked on a Friday evening. So my husband saw this place across the street called I PUPPIES. So we decided to try them out. We come back two hours later as the lady suggested. My husband noticed after hours that her face had been cut and it looked like they had but a ton of powder on it to soak up the blood. They were quick to take our money but did not have the guts to even tell us that it was an accident. I called the next day to ask why they didn't say any thing and that I wanted a refund so I could take Sasha to the vet. The lady just kept saying I don't understand English. Mind you, she sure understood full and well when she took our appointment and money... Sasha is like my child it broke my heart to think of how scared and in pain she was, and to know that I left her in the care of there's heartless people. I called them on Friday to make a grooming appointment for my 60lbs bulldog mix. The owner's daughter (I think) was speaking on the phone and she was translating my questions to her mom in Korean. After a long conversation, they both understood that my dog wasn't a small fluffy white dog, and they said I can bring him in for grooming, daycare, and even overnight stays in the future. The daughter told me to come in at 9am the next day and took down my dog's name. I took him in on Saturday with a friend at 9am sharp. Right when she glances at him from behind the front counter, she gives me this terrifying look and tells me "Sorry no." I told her that I have an appointment at 9am and that I had called the day before. She still said "But sorry no. Does he bite?" I told her no, but she still looked at my dog like he was a serial killer and told me "no" in the rudest way ever. She didn't even apologize. If she was going to say no, maybe she should have on the phone when I told her that my dog is a 60lbs bulldog mix. I was so furious! And seriously, the way she looked at my dog, it was just genuinely wrong. I can tell that she's not a true dog person. She's just in it for the money. The best place to buy your little bundle of joy! I got a teacup Yorkie from them about a year ago ( she is only 4 lbs at one year old) and they have become a second family to my Lucy. When I bought my puppy she was only 3 months old and one of the ladies even cried as I was leaving with my new puppy. Unlike other places that just want to take your money and send you away with your new pet, these ladies seemed really concerned about the smooth transition of the puppy to a new place. They called me the next day to make sure Lucy was doing ok and offered to babysit her for FREE on the days when I have to work long hours so she wouldn't feel lonely and stressed. I started bringing Lucy in for daycare and I just cannot believe what good care they take of her. They give her baths, groom her, play with her and just spoil her with love. They are always available and happy to help if you have any questions about how to raise your puppy. What ever you need, they are there for you - clip nails, brush the coat, what to do if your puppy is throwing up or has diarrhea, all at no charge, FREE. The 2 ladies that run the place have become Mom #2 and Mom #3 to Lucy. I did a lot of research before I bought my puppy and I cannot believe how lucky I am to come across I Love Puppy Plus. We purchased a yorkie approximately a little over 2 yrs ago and do NOT recommend this place. Cathy, the seller said that the puppy would weigh no more than 4 lbs and to this day she weighs 12 lbs. Anyways, our yorkie was sick with pneumonia when we purchased her and the sellers knew she was sick with a "little cough" so they said they would handle all her medical bills, but have not. Cathy gave us an address so we can mail out to them what we spent medically so we would be reimbursed, but of course there was no known address and we received everything back. To make matters worse, we still haven't received her AKC papers after making multiple phone calls to Cathy and even after visiting I Love Puppy Plus multiple times still no AKC papers, which is very upsetting! Anyways, one day we made an appearance to obtain her AKC papers and they said it was mailed out along with a check for her medical expenses. Of course, we did not receive anything because how could they have mailed out the check if they did not receive what we mailed out to them in the first place since we received everything back! Now, after speaking to Cathy on numerous occasions regarding medical expenses and AKC papers she is no where to be found!! read more

Worst place on earth to buy a puppy!! Such a scammers! Bought my Yorkie 2 years ago, supposed to be a t-cup but grew up to 6 pounds. Just read the review of Rachel.L and i see that she had almost the exact experience. My puppy was also sick and cost me over 1500$ for medications. After multiple emails and calls The owner agreed to pay a small percentage of that amount and sent me a check. As you can imagine the check bounced!! They even offered an wxchange for another puppy like it was some kind of a toy. After that the owners were nowhere to be found and they stopped replying to my emails. I wrote a pretty detailed review but for some reason was hidden by Yelp. Maybe if my review wasn't removed other people wouldn't make the same mistake as me .After all that's the purpose of those reviews isn't it? Whoever is writing a positive review about this store is either crazy lucky to get a puppy that is not crazy sick or somehow assosiated with this store. It's beyond me how businesses like this even exist. If you care about pets then this is the last place you should go to get one.!! read more

I bought the family a three month old bouncing baby shih tzu girl. It was love at first sight. She is a hand full, but we love her!!! The owner and her staff go above and beyond. Litttle Chispita was a bit under the weather. We were extremely concerned because she was coughing. I called Cathy and immeditely she drove all the way to Torrance, CA where I live and picked her up. She took her to the vet the next day on a Sunday , it turned out to be a cold. They paid for the vet bill and the medication. I was so grateful, not every one woud go out of their way. They really back up their gurantee and truly care about these precious little dogs. I can just tell by the way the owner got teary eyed as I took Chispita home. I was re-assured that if I had any questions to feel free to call. My little puppy is the cuties in the land. She's only been with us 2 weeks and already she is spoiled rotten. I would highly recommned I Love Puppy Plus to anyone who is looking for a life time companion. THEY ARE NOT PUPPY MILL!! read more
