I really love this restaurant, and I keep coming back because the food is consistently delicious. The seafood is flavorful, fresh, and worth the wait. If you're ordering in person, you place your order at the window outside and then wait for it to be prepared. The wait is usually around 15 to 20 minutes. There isn't any seating available, so you'll either need to wait in your car or walk around some of the nearby stores until your order is ready. The surrounding area isn't the nicest neighborhood, so I personally prefer waiting in my car. My biggest complaint is with DoorDash orders. Almost every time I order delivery, they forget my mango lemonade. At this point, it's become a recurring issue, and it's really disappointing because I honestly look forward to my drink just as much as my food. If customers are paying for drinks, they should receive them. I really hope the restaurant starts double-checking every DoorDash order before it leaves. Please make sure all drinks, sides, and food items are included in the bag. A quick packaging check would make a huge difference and save customers from having missing items. I spent the block again to see if the egg rolls were as good as the first time. Unfortunately, it was a bust. I placed an online order, and when I got there it wasn't ready. The staff was rude. I went to the window and was told to come back in 5 minutes. I came back in 10, and when I got to the counter, the staff flatly said, "It's not ready." I had seen this restaurant featured in an article about Baltimore eating places. It got mixed reviews. Since they mostly seemed to revolve around service, and there were mildly negative reviews about the food, I was willing to forego the service for the taste. I shouldn't have. We ordered - and paid for - a regular lump crab meat eggroll and a self love one that was supposed to have lump crab, lobster, and shrimp. I don't know what we got. The 2 eggrolls were identical, but they included shrimp and claw meat - there wasn't a lump to be found - and the one that was supposed to have lobster didn't even try to mask its absence! This company is running a very questionable operation. If you are comfortable risking your money, then go ahead and order from them. I placed my order on February 4th, and their policy states that they only ship once a week on Wednesdays. What appears to happen, however, is that a shipping label is created to give the impression that the order is about to ship, while the item is never actually sent. It is now March 7th, and I still have not received my order. I have sent multiple emails and even called, and there has been absolutely no response. The complete lack of communication alone is unacceptable. As a Black customer who intentionally tries to support Black owned businesses, situations like this are especially disappointing. Many of us genuinely want to support and see our businesses thrive, but when customers are overcharged, ignored, and treated this way, it damages trust and reflects poorly on the very community people are asking others to support. I came all the way from DC to get these seafood eggrolls and Dirty Yuk that the internet was boasting about. I ordered 3 self love eggrolls, 2 dirty Yuks. Because my daughter don't like shrimp, I omitted shrimp in 1. Well my experience was not a good one. I'm thinking maybe it was the time I got there (5pm), but still you suppose to serve good food until the doors or in this case the window closes! The food was horrible! The eggrolls was dark and extremely greasy on the outside! The inside barely had, if any lobster and the shrimp was not impressive at all, there was no lump crab meat! It seem to have fillers added. I had my first experience with I love seafood today. First of location is horrible on Greenmount Ave and a side street. The big issues with the location was no store signs, we get served through a window on the corner with random individuals just hanging around the store who were not customers. No menu, phone is always busy and the online menu was even empty. I finaly ordered the self love eggrolls two for $20. I paid for my purchase and upon bitting into them i could tell the were fried in old oil. It tasted bitter and scorched. The oil temp was to high the outside looked done but the inside was undercooked and rubbery. I could not eat the wrapping and i had to scoop out the filling that had no lobster. This was an horribly expersive time at this place. I hope this was a one time experience but please do better. At least post a store sign so people know where you are.
