Classic Bubble Milk Tea (Earl Grey) (Milk tea)
    Josephine C.

I ordered early grey milk tea, as soon as I received the drink, I noticed there were white speckles in bottom on the drink. I have told the staff and he replaced the drink for me. However, there were still white speckles in the drink. Not sure if it was the ingredients used but it did not affect the taste. Great spot for a quick drink break as they have limited chairs and tables.

Got the fresh mango green tea, since that was one of their signature items. Great service but very mid drink. Tea flavor where?? And it was $9. Not worth at all.

Cute little spot. We had the combo with the onigiri, drink and snack. They have quite a few onigiri options available .

I have been to other locations before, and this one was on par with the other ones. I tried a different drink this time around - the grape slush with boba. I thought the drink was pretty good, but I wouldn't say it is my favorite drink here. I've tried the strawberry lemonade before and I liked that better. But the boba is a good texture, and I like the tea jellies. The service is pretty fast, and the shop is cute. While there are other boba places I like better, this one is solid, and I would be back.

A cute little boba shop in a great shopping area! There's a walk-up counter and few small tables. They have a large menu full of really great options. I wish I was local, I would love to come back to try their food options. I went with the brown sugar milk tea with boba. The flavor was absolutely perfect. A great balance of tea, brown sugar and milk. The boba had a wonderful texture - more squishy than firm. My husband got a jasmine green tea. He said it was nice and refreshing. 5 star boba!

The store is small with some seats. The guy who took my order was very efficient and paid attention to detail. I ordered my teas without sugar. For some teas he advised me that they would be bitter without sugar. I truly appreciate it. It showed that he was knowledgeable. The bubble was fresh, perfect chewiness and size. What I love about this place is the fruit was fresh and not using syrup. I wish someone would open one in Philadelpha. I recommend downloading the app to get 10 percent off from the first order. They also have 10 percent discount for paying cash. However, you cannot use both discount at the same time.

Good service, cute shop, but absolutely not for me. This was less bubble tea, more just milk with boba - but that's my fault, I should've assumed as much from the name.

i had the oolong black milk tea and it was ok. nothing special to me but open to trying new flavors next time. there is seats inside. Large is what i got and it was $6.75 plus tax making it $7.35

Such a cute little spot! They offer a selection of bubble tea and onigiri. If you want both, they do have combination options that you can get a drink + onigiri. The prices for this place however, I considered it on the higher end. If you wanted the combo but a large size, there was an upgrade charge. The upside is that if you pay in cash, you do get a discount, I believe 10% off your total. Before paying, for 2 bubble teas and the onigiri, my total was about $29. The onigiris were pretty good though. As with any onigiris I have gotten, the problem is that it's primarily rice with such minimal filling causing the overall onigiri to be so dry. If you're in a rush and you see a l'milky, it is a good snack spot for on the go! The service was quick! Between ordering and waiting, it took about 5-7 minutes which this particular day felt like forever because the NY heat and the inside felt like there was ZERO AC making it less bearable to be indoors. They have a couple of seating inside but I would say it seats no more than 2 ppl per table.

The drink is always good. I always get the Taro milk and it's delicious! This is my dessert! The sugar level can't be adjusted and it's perfect. I added grass jelly for an extra texture and it's doesn't overpower the taste. Jasmin green tea is also very good. It has a strong Jasmin tea flavor. I added 30% sugar and thought it wasn't sweet enough. I saw their new menu items and I can't wait to try it. The service is excellent all the time. The shop is small with a few tables, but most people take their drinks to go.

Food/Drink (4/5): Got the boba and Oni-giri here. While they were decent, they were nothing special and there are better spots in the city. A benefit is that the Oni-giri is filled with a good amount of toppings and is well seasoned. Venue (3/5): Small open venue to order boba. The 3 seating areas with ottoman chairs were a nice touch. This is mostly a to go spot and has no restroom or much areas to hang around inside the venue. Service (4/5): It took a while for the Oni-giri and boba to come out. However, to give them credit, there were a lot of patrons which may have caused the slowdown.

The bubble tea here was good but wasn't anything amazing that gets me all riled up and excited to want to go get some. Service was good and ambiance was reflective of a typical hipster vibe you'd find in Williamsburg. The tea itself wasn't anything too special. The special black milk tea they had tasted more like a chocolate milk with a splash of tea rather than actual tea. Regardless, it wasn't outrageously bad but it wasn't amazingly good.

BTW, their bakery is catercorner from the restaurant and absolutely worth a visit. Inside, the decor is simple-not Spartan-comfortable and functional. The tables are spaced nicely to provide privacy for each group. The evening that we were there, the sound level was comfortable. We could easily have a conversation around the large table. Our main server Lizzy was great. She has an amazing energy and smile that is so inviting. You're already enjoying dinner before you even order. We were 6 people and so we could order a wide variety of dishes. Some of my favorites were the scallion pancakes, lobster rice rolls, clam and basil and marinated cucumbers. There are enough choices for a vegetarian, pescatarian, but not for a vegan. We walked out satisfied and really happy. And then walked across the street to the bakery!

But the food just wasn't great. I got the fried eggplant, pea shoots, big chicken bun. Everything was as pictured, the portions were good. But, in general, I would have loved if everything just had a bit more flavor? The only dish out of the three I really liked were the pea shoots but at the end of the day they're just peashoots stir-fried in oyster sauce, topped with fried garlic. The eggplant was very bland by itself on a layer of what I think is greek yogurt(?) topped generously with cashews and fried garlic. The chicken bun was also quite flavorless except I think the sauce had some weird flavor to it that tasted like the tofu in it had fermented to me? I actually couldn't even finish my burger and gave half of it to my roommate and she said it was good but that it was a bit too spicy for her? And there's nothing in the ingredients that should be spicy, so there was definitely some funk in that sauce. Which is a shame because if the chicken were a bit more seasoned and they stuck with a regular kewpie blend it could have been a pretty standard burger. Same with the eggplant, I ended up throwing some sugar and soy sauce and stir-frying it to a more classic chinese style and it ended up tasting immensely better especially with the creamy sauce on the bottom giving a contrasting but balancing taste. I can see what Win Son is trying to attempt with their flavors I suppose...but it's just not for me. I will admit I did order delivery, so take this review with a grain of salt. I also do usually try to go to a restaurant in person to give them a fair chance if I see that the food may have potentially been better but just been knocked down due to delivery times and containers. But seeing how the flavors just weren't there for Win Son, I wouldn't want to return even for that. Edit: Gave it an extra star because I assume the service and ambiance here must be amazing. But the food? 2/5

My husband and I also both wished the fried tofu app fully went stinky tofu, but I get why that's not on the menu here. Pork hock croquette was just ok and the huadiao egg tofu could've been better served over rice vs with wonton chips. Pea shoots were solid but it's hard to mess that up.
