After giving a bad review to the new nail place, Be My Nails in Milpitas, I realized I should give an EXCELLENT review to my regular nail salon. All the nail tech's are super friendly! We always get a warm greeting when we walk in, and we're given time to select a nail color without feeling rushed or like cattle! If there's a wait, they offer us water and make us feel welcomed. They give the best relaxing pedicures, they take their time, the water temp is always warm. I bring my daughter and her friends for a Girls Day Out, they offer a Child Mani/Pedi at a discount price, we LOVE IT! Not sure why I ever strayed over to Be My Nail (why would anyone want to be a NAIL anyway, strange name lol) Anyway, iSpa2 is THE BEST NAIL SPA IN MILPITAS! We will never leave again! read more

But I don't know if I got a newb but this is honestly the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Polish all around my toes and unevenly applied. I really could have done a better job at home. It is such a shame I won't be coming back. This place is so conveniently located on my way home from work. First off, their pricing is not obvious. I asked the owner how much it would be to get shellac mani and pedi. He said $41. Came to pay the bill was $61. He said he misunderstood my question. How convenient to use language barrier/poor English San an excuse. Can I say I didn't understand his broken English and pay the$41 I was quoted???? $41 was for shellac mani and regular pedi. He pulled out this binder with the pricing. Not very noticeable for the public. Secondly, the lady who did my mani used her finger nails to push my cuticles from time to time. How unsanitary! Gross! Walked in at 10:40 am and asked for a Gel fill three women working there just sitting there looking out the window turned around and told me to come back at 2pm because they're waiting for an appointment at 11:00 am are u fkn kidding me I drove all the way over here cause "walk-in" accepted and all three of the workers are sitting there picking their toes not doing anything and turned my business away because of an appointment 20mins later. This nail salon is the most neat one I have ever been to. The salon occupies a big and open space at the corner lot shopping plaza. The manager and staff are impressively friendly, organized and efficient. Equipped with new and more edgy tools, the spa experience is quite pleasant. I've been coming here for the past few months for pedis and shellac manicures and they've always done a great job. It's very clean, they take their time, it's a little cheaper than most places, and they always offer their customers a small bottle of water. The shellac manicures usually last me 2-3 weeks, which makes me happy. I'm usually here twice a month now. read more

THE WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! I got a French tip gel mani/pedi and it seriously looked like a four year old had done my nails. I kept trying to explain to the technician that the lines were not straight (probably because she was using way to much acetone in the brush to shape the white tips) and she just kept saying "it's ok, it's ok" and completely disregarded everything I was saying to her. When we moved on the the gel mani I was so far frustrated with how terrible my nails were looking that I just wanted to cry. When she asked me to check if the thickness of the white tips was to my liking, I was at a loss for words! I had never seen such sloppy & jagged work. Completely frustrated at this point, I explained to her that I didn't like it and that it wasn't straight and the lines weren't clean, so she tried it again. The second time was even worse than the first! The owner came by and I explained to him the situation. I showed him how each French tip on my toes looked completely different in shape and thickness from the others. He straight up took a picture of my toes and asked for 2 different technicians to take over from there (one to redo my toes and one to redo my hands) Beside the fact that they had to remove the gel polish from my mani (which, if you've ever had your nails done with gel before, you know the long process it takes to take it all off) the technician was rushing to redo my nails in order to go home, that she cut me while filing my nails and made me bleed. I've never had such a painfully awful experience and I will never go back. read more

I went here 2 weeks ago after reading the reviews a bit skeptical. I decided well its close to my house so Im going to try it. I walked in and was greeting by a man behind the counter, the owner. He asked me what I needed. A pedicure and gel mani. He gave me the colors and sat me down. I was helped promptly by LuAnn. She did a great job on my toes and nails. She took her time and made sure they were perfect. Im going back again to see LuAnn again. I have been here a few times to get pedicures, brought my cousin too. The time I brought my cousin she was cut. The last time I came here I got a shellac manicure and she used a cuticle cutter to rip off my old shellac! I will never come here again. I was a good customer. I tipped well and to be treated with such disrespect was hurtful. It wasn't until I expressed my discomfort that she removed my left hand of shellac by soaking them. My nails to this day are still healing this was weeks ago. I know you ladies know better than that. Shame on you. read more

Omg I was so skeptical about this place, but I decided to check it out. I came in and the place seemed big. The wait was kinda long, but one of the lovely workers gave me a bottled water and kept telling me "sorry for the wait". I didn't mind since they were understaffed, and I was in no rush. Then Kim assisted me. She did a fill for my nails, did a design and did my pedicure. She was sweet and very gentle. I don't wanna go to any other place anymore. I came in here hoping I could get my nails done because the other place that I went to previously could not do the design that I wanted- they were also the only ones open in the area. So I went in and asked for a full set but I was turned down because I didn't get there early enough. I got there about 30 mins before closing. I didn't get there late on purpose and it's not like they were closed (so why the terrible customer service?) I've seen other places take people 5 mins before their posted closing time and get a full set of nails. I'm so disappointed- I won't be coming to a place that doesn't value my business. read more

I was very disappointed with my pedicure. She was in a hurry and did my pedicure in 20 minutes from start to finish. There was nail polish all around my toes that she did not bother to clean up. She cut me a few times while she was cutting my cuticles. Ouch !! She was very rude. Last time I went to Kim and she was much better. I don't think they sterilized their instruments because right after they did my pedicure they went to another lady and started her manicure with the same instruments yuck !! Owner very rude, argumentative, smells like poo, rude to his staff and staff are very intimidated by him. I go here for underarm waxing by Ivy because the first time she did it for me, I was only expecting the typical underarm wax. However, she went above and beyond to not just wax but resolve all of my underarm woes! As a licensed and experienced Esthetician she removed ingrown hairs and unclogged pores. My underarms became noticeably lighter in complexion and smoother in texture with a more even skin tone. Ivy is fantastic at this! She is honest and shares truly effective Expert tips. Disappointed. I went into erase and get my gel french tips redone. I had to tell her ti re-file my nails multiple times because they were uneven. There were bubbles under the top coat. She didn't erase the previous gel nail properly so the nail's texture is bumpy. I didn't say much because I was in a hurry, but I'm planning to erase everything tonight. read more

I was absolutely heartbroken with the closure of Starbucks at this previous location, but I was quick to give iSpa2 a try since I need to regularly have my nails done. I have been a customer of iSpa2 from the beginning and over the course of the past 3 or so years, I have continued to give them my business and have not been disappointed. What I like most about the salon is their cleanliness. Not many places use a protective plastic wrap around the foot spas. Most places just use a quick spray of 409 and expect that to do it's job. It's relieving to know that they discard the plastic wrap as soon as they are done with each individual customer. I have referred many of my friends to iSpa2 and they too, continue to give them their business. A quick tip to prevent any disappointment is to book a reservation ahead of time, about a week or so in advance. And although I have experienced most of their manicurists to service my nails, the owner, Ivy, is the BEST! Thank you, Ivy and I'll see you soon :) read more

So I've given this place 3 tries and each time I left kind of unhappy. Its normally not packed here and the last time I went I was the only person there on a friday night. While I was getting my pedicure done they had the tv on in the beginning to a regular tv station but then the owners husband and a construction worker guy came out of no where and changed it to some vietnamese show. I was a little annoyed because why would I want to watch a vietnemese show. At this point I wish I brought my headphones. Dont get me wrong I'm not a hater I just think that the tv should be meant for the customer. While the lady was painting my nails she wasn't even paying attention she was too into talking to everyone else working there that she missed all the edges of my toes. I was getting so frustrated I just wanted to walk out. I also don't like the fact that they don't show you any type of pricing for their services. Its a bit expensive here. I've been there two times and both times they were unfriendly and didn't make me me feel welcoming at all. The second time the lady that gave me a pedicure actually put down my choice of nail color. She said it was "ugly and very hard to put on." I was shocked hearing that n told her that I liked it. She didn't even apologize. That was the last time I came back and will never again.
