Let me start by saying I love Milk teas! I heard from my sister that this place was great and wanted to give it a try. So I went today around 5:15pm and there wasn't a line, awesome! I ordered a Rose Milk tea for myself, a peach tea for my brother, a mango sago for my husband and 2 popcorn chicken. It was a all great. My rose milk tea had boba which added some sugary taste to it. Loved it! The place is clean and big enough for strollers. There was also TVs and they were showing the warriors game. Near the bathrooms there was music playing in the background. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of the parking. It took me 15 mins to find somewhere to park. If any of you guys are familiar with the location, you guys know what I'm referring to. Hands down, Our favorite hangout place for quick snack or dinner with my family. We can be considered stockholders for coming here 2-3x a week since it opened 2016 my kids favorite is the calamari which they eat with white rice. They have a long list of good drinks but our favorite is the roasted oolong milk tea, jasmine milk tea, thai tea and the frosty series. Best place to satisfy Ramen cravings too with a variety of choices. Their basil popcorn chicken is the best too. This is clearly a popular location. Every time we go here there is a line of people waiting out the door, but major kudos to them as you never have to wait very long. They are quick to take orders, and quick to fullfil them. Even with as busy as they are, they are incredibly helpful and happy to tell you more about any drink you have questions about, or to make a suggestion on what drink to try. They have one of the largest selections of drinks and foods among all of the i-Tea locations that I have been to. Their location is super clean and well cared for, parking can be a struggle some times just because of how busy the location is, but that is not their fault. I strongly suggest the Peach Tea with Peach Popping Boba as it is one of my favorites. read more

In comparison to other I-Teas in the Bay Area, this one has many many more meal options than others. They hired a chef that makes pretty good food, better than average boba tea places. I ordered garlic noodles with shrimp for $10.99 and was pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. If you like garlic, the noodles came with lots of garlic-both crushed garlic and whole cloves of garlic, and also had at least 9 pieces of nice sized shrimps. You can definitely taste the butter. There also have lots of tea options. Other dishes I have ordered in the past inclidethe beef onion vermicelli and the black garlic ramen. The ramen was not the best that I've ever had but decent flavored and adequate toppings, including a well done soft boiled egg. Beef onion vermicelli was average, but not very memorable. Also note: bring coins with you when you come, the plaza where I-tea is recently installed parking meters-a quarter for every 10 minutes. read more

I usually go to iTea often and this is one of the bigger locations I've been too. I was looking for a place to study and honestly, it wasn't a bad place to study! The only sucky part is that the parking plaza can be tough as it only has 2 hour limit parking (with parking enforcement driving around) and it's a pretty busy plaza. Lucky for me every time I had to move my car there was a parking spot right in front. Anyways, back to the boba. I just got a basic jasmine milk tea with boba. It was okay... iTea is known better for their specialty drinks like the Mango Sago I hear food at iTea is really good. I mean people were eating there like it was a restaurant. However, I have yet to try their ramen & other foods. Like other reviews said, there does come a flood of a whole bunch of high school kids. I usually get their pop corn chicken and a milk tea or too depending on how thirsty I am. I like that you can modify the sweetness if needed and they have a host of flavors some more popular than others. This review is for the ramen. Yes ramen at a bubble tea place! I had the black garlic oil and the wife had the shoyu tonkotsu. I preferred the black garlic oil. Really solid broth. Garlic was not overpowering. Chashu was good but the egg was perfect and consistent. They probably use a nice temperature controlled machine. Remember this is a tea place! I mean there's better ramen options out there but for a tea place in my neighborhood... There's nothing better. Portions are good sized and can be shared by two. I really like the set up of this place! Plenty of menus, plenty of seating, wifi, decent restrooms, and plenty of drinks and food options. All the food was decent, better than ok, but not amazing. Room for improvement and I hope they do because again, I really like the set up and they have everything!! Ramen wasn't bad. Egg was cooked perfectly. Best boba place in town. I usually get the Strawberry fruit tea. It comes with boba, lychee jelly, and strawberry pieces. I get light ice and 50% sweetness. This used to be a really good place and probably the only location that has durian sago and it was definitely worth the wait and the line. But seemed the service has really gone down lately. This place is definitely a solid 4.5 stars milk tea and quick food place in the Bay Area. It's my regular weekly milk tea place since about a year ago. My favorite usual is b4 - tofuhua red bean milk tea. I also like b6 - matcha red bean matcha pudding milk tea, as well as h1 - matcha red bean frosty, which is the best icy refreshing drink in summer time. Services are mostly great in all their locations and this one in San Leandro also has yummy Raman and snacks as well, reasonably priced. Lines are getting longer and longer as the weather warms up, and even when I place phone orders now I still need to wait in line for easily 20+ minutes just to pay, even though my drinks are already made. The other locations like Castro valley and Oakland will let you go up front and pay right away when you arrive and pick up your phone order to go. But since I live in the neighborhood, I'll probably still come to this location more often than others. But something they should consider match up with the other locations. read more

There are so many bubble tea places in the Bay Area. Seriously, I can't tell which place is good anymore, everything is good nowadays lol. I've been dealing with this toothache for a few days and today is at its worst. I lost my appetite just because of this dumb toothache. I told my coworker that I felt like an old lady and they decided to take me here to "cool and slurp my toothache away." Lol I settled with taro without boba. My boys and I were so excited to try iTea. We had the chance yesterday when we were in San Leandro. It was afternoon when we got there. Waited in line for about 10 mins to order and then waited 15 mins for our order to be ready. We ordered four teas and a spicy calamari. While the drinks were okay, nothing to write home about it was the calamari that made it a really bad experience. We did not get to open it until we were in the car...portion size was decent but there was hair in the calamari. On closer inspection I found the hair was in the batter that the calamari was dipped in. So disappointed! Paid $10 for the calamari but it was a complete waste! Had to throw it out! I expected more from a place that has so many near perfect starts. It was pretty disgusting to see the hair in so many pieces of the calamari. Terrible quality! Given the time we are in, one would expect more stringent attention to food quality but did not look like there was any. Hugely disappointed! Not going back again... read more

iTea is always busy, especially during Happy Hour. You'll see customers from toddlers all they way up to older folks. During happy hour, drinks are $2.95 and snacks are $3.50. During the height of this time, you can expect to wait in line anywhere from 10-20 minutes, and an additional 10 minutes to receive your order. Ordered online and it send me a confirmation that my order is confirmed but they strictly wrote on their website and email to avoid going to the store before receiving a confirmation that it's ready for pick up. Waited over an hour for the confirmation for pick up and NOTHING. I had to go in and ask for my drink since I've waited over an hour and it should've been ready within 20 mins (i only order 1 drink). One of my go to boba spots in San Leandro. It's usually packed, which is a good sign in my books. The drinks taste really fresh and the tapioca balls have always been the perfect texture for me. Their popcorn chicken and fried calamari are delicious! I have also tried their garlic ramen and it was not bad at all. I would not mind getting it again. I don't give out five-star ratings very often. This place, however, really deserves it. I-Tea San Leandro is pretty impressive. It's clean, the employees are friendly and hard-working, the menu is huge, and the food is hot and tasty. I recently enjoyed their curry chicken dish. Also, i-Tea San Leandro doesn't raise their prices during happy hour. Every other i-Tea location in the East Bay jacks up their prices when happy hour rolls around. Oh! And I have literally never seen a cleaner men's room in a restaurant. I've been in restrooms at museums that weren't as clean. They even have folded cloth towels for drying your hands! The only "bad" thing about the San Leandro i-Tea is the parking lot. It's always full. That isn't i-Tea's fault, however, since several businesses share the same lot. Just a heads-up. read more

My friends are telling me to go seek a therapist because they think I'm falling in love with someone that isn't even human. And it's called i-Tea. Oh, i-Tea. Where have you been in my life? You must have been my long lost love. I've been longing to be with you again.. No, but seriously. Why the hell didn't I come here sooner? I've encountered the i-Tea location in Oakland Chinatown before back in 2015 with a few friends and had my first ever boba experience WITH i-Tea. I'm happy to have found out that this is the nearest location near my home. Suh-weet! Never been here before, but I'm already enjoying my experience after coming to this location. Its such a nice place, really. The one in Chinatown was very cramped but this location in SL is a little bit more spacious and wider to cater to more customers. The decor of the place fits all the modern-day standards and is kept clean. There is a large TV in the back if you look towards the right side of the room. There are also two tables on the left behind the two menu boards when you are standing in line. I can definitely see why this location is so popular. I'm assuming most of the customers here are just SL regulars and they all need their boba fix no matter the time of day. That's understandable. There will always be a long line when you come here, but its worth the wait in the end. Just place your order, wait for the employees at the front desk to call your order number, and grab your drinks when its time! In my opinion, I believe it takes the employees at least 5 minutes or less to finish a drink order. Your drink is made FAST when you least expect it, and that's what blew my mind when I came to this SL location. Even though this is THE SPOT to get good drinks in SL, the employees here are genuinely nice and are always hard at work. They're used to dealing with the huge waves of customers every day, so they have been on point when it comes to fulfilling all types of orders. And I really think we should applaud them for that. I also couldn't believe my eyes that they sell plates of food other than snacks and tea! Hory shet. During my first time here, I ordered the Chashu (Pork) over rice bowl. My meal was brought to my table in the span of 5 mins. It was really good, but I wish I could've finished it. Next time I will though. I underestimated the portions they gave me because the bowl seemed so small. It looked like teriyaki pork at first glance to me. All the umami flavors were there when I took numerous bites. I couldn't help myself from savoring the flavors of the pork accompanied with warm white rice and a Japanese yellow pickle. It was THAT damn good. I'm definitely ordering this again for my next visit. So don't be like me and underestimate their food portions. I think its guaranteed that you'll begin to feel full. If you're not interested in eating good ol' meat and rice dishes, then you could always try their ramen. I haven't tried it myself but it looks appetizing. If you order any meals here, I personally recommend you to share it with a friend. Also. The Kiwi Fruit Tea is the effing bomb. I love it so much. It's practically my drug now. My new favorite flavor to get for to-go. I'm new to the world of bubble tea drinks and I usually go for the standard milk tea. But when I came here, the poster that was showing off the Kiwi Fruit Tea really caught my eye and I just simply knew that I HAD to order it and try it out myself. Kiwi is such an underrated fruit/flavor tbh. The fruit tea did not disappoint me. The kiwi was fresh and was sliced into small little chunks. Mmm. It was refreshing and I enjoyed every sip I took. So I was craving ramen with a friend. We decided to check this place out since it was close by. My friend judged right off the bat that i Tea doesnt sell ramen from the looks of the store front being "just another boba spot". Thanks to Yelp, I knew that's not the case. Plus, crab tonkatsu ramen surpasses mediocre ramen for me in my book lol if you like soft shell crab, order this! I also got the guava tea. I love guava. Always enjoy the tea here. There are three boba milk tea in the area (Tapioca Express, T4, and iTea), but we always prefer iTea. Their boba has a slight sweetness and not too chewy not too stale. The tea aroma is authentic, especially in the jasmine milk tea. The milk they used tastes good too (compared to the lower quality places like Quickly's). They have lots of snacks too!
