The Crab Rangoon had a wonderful combination of crunchy & creamy. The soup was probably some of the best Tom Kha I've ever had. Not sure why it took us so long to try this place! So much yummy food we missed out on. We went there specifically to try the beef jerky and shrimp egg rolls. But ended up ordering the orange chicken and crispy garlic shrimp because of of the reviews. Orange Chicken 5/5: I'm not the biggest orange chicken fan, but this was delish. Super airy and light and crispy. Would get this dish again every time. Crispy Garlic Shrimp 4. 5/5: this dish was different and really yummy. This's our second time in. Wanted to see if they were consistent & they were. We try Thai food everywhere. This place is excellent. I almost don't want to share it because then it'll be too packed and won't get the service we're so used to. Food server was so friendly and hospitable rushing to take care of all the tables by himself. It's a small place but does a great business and fast with their service. I had an issue with my food, nothing major; told the waiter who told the manager who did what any Good manager would do. He computed my meal and took off 10%. This's is how a Real manager takes care of his guest. I didn't expect it out complained about it but was elated to see the proper method applied to obtain repeat customers. Location may not be the best, it's kind of hidden in a small shopping center but worth the quality of their food, the speed of service, the amount of to go clients, they will definitely have to search for a bigger location. This is hands down my favorite Thai spot in North Las Vegas...or maybe Vegas in general! Lotus of Siam and Weera are great options, but they cater more to tourists (particularly with their pricing). IThai is tucked away in the plaza with the Walmart Neighborhood and has a very simple ambiance and decor. But the food is quality! My favorite dishes are the Tom Yum Fried Rice, iThai fish and Pad Thai. The Tom Yum fried rice is unlike any other Thai style fried rice I've had. It's very fragrant and not as sour as you would think (like a Tom yum soup). The ithai fish is also a favorite cause it's a whole fried fish garnished with bell peppers and basil, serviced with a side of yellow curry and rice. The fish is always fried perfectly (and pre sliced for your enjoyment) and the curry compliments the fish extremely well. I found this place on DoorDash - it had good ratings so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the crab rangoon and a beef pad thai (I had to pay an extra $2 for the beef). The delivery arrived super fast and I was pretty pleased with that. The crab rangoon were all so perfect and looked so cute and dainty but I think I'm missing one? I thought it was 6 to an order and there was only 5, picture has 4 bcs I ate one already. The dipping sauce was gross and super spicy! Omgosh I had to spit my food out bcs I was not expecting that level of heat and it just tasted off. Usually the sauce for crab rangoons is sweet and mellow. Aghhh I guess it's bcs it's Thai that it has that much heat in it? I ate the rest of the rangoons with no sauce and it was just missing something. Since there was plenty of filling but no sauce to counter that creaminess the whole taste was just off and I didn't enjoy them quite as much as I was hoping. Ok so on to the pad thai. The sauce was decent, better than a lot of places I've tried here in Vegas. I was a tad bit disappointed that there was hardly any egg in it. Then when I bit into the beef, omg what have they done to that poor piece of beef??? It was hard and rubbery and flavorless. Did I mention that it was rubbery??? Like it was 3 day old jerky they were testing out or something. How can someone over cook beef like that? It's like they boiled it, then boiled it again, fried it and then boiled it again. When I arrived the guy not only let me know he messed up my order and put the wrong thing to be made, but on top of it he made me sit there for 20 mins to wait when my food should have been made in the first place. He also didn't apologize or care or offer anything for messing it up and wasting my time. Will not be going back to this place again. God awful customer service. I-Thai is one our regular spots that my family & I go to most Sundays. The owner is so nice, he awlways brings out our drink orders 1st thing, because he remembers what we like. You can tell he takes pride in his establishment and truly enjoys his work. The food here is so good, and you dont have to wait long.
