Don't trust this dealership. Truck advertised for $24,000 online. Get a text from Peter saying they're having a sales event and call back for their best price. Call him back and he says "let me look at the numbers. There's a $1995 reconditioning fee and $995 processing fee so the price is $26,990." They found my car on Facebook marketplace and called me saying that they were buying a bunch of used cars and my car fit exactly what they where looking for and that they would give me what I was asking for my car. Than I drove 30min to get to the dealer when I got there they scanned my ID and took pictures of the vin# of my car. Than they started to push me to trade my car in for a new one, when they saw that I wasn't going to fall for it they offered me 100$ for my car... So just lost one and a half hours of my day, dealing with schamers that where pushing me to buy something that I don't need... and I hope they dont use my ID or vin# for any funny business! read more

Shady people. We went to look at a 15 passenger van that they had on sale. When it came down to get to the numbers they added almost 4000 to the price with several "fees" They wanted to over charge us for a Maryland Inspection because they said that the vehicle was "commercial". When we ended up buying a similar van we paid the regular price for a MD inspection. I felt a lot of pressure with the financing. I understand it was a big mistake not going in with my own financing. They kept telling me that i would not be able to get the monthly payment that I wanted and kept dropping the payment until I had to walk out and tell them no. It was not a good experience. read more

So yesterday I went to IAD Auto in Landover. Went to Service Dept and asked about my key I've been waiting on since I got vehicle in April, the lady at Service desk helped me so that the key ppl could come to my job and make key or so I thought. I went to bathroom came back only to be asked did u leave a review for Sale Dept. Yes I did, since I gave them a Bad review (which I did), that they couldn't make my key until I talked to the Manager. Ok whatever I went sat down waiting for them to finish, the Manager walks up and says you gave us a bad review so you need to take your service elsewhere and I can't get my key!! Ramin, Demarco, Kevin, and Damian were all very attentive, flexible, and helpful when I walked in to buy a car! I had honestly come in just to look but I walked out a few hours later with the perfect car. They were even willing to drive up the road with me to bring my husband his paperwork at his job! The car selection was broad and very good condition. The prices were relatively fair and Ramin was helpful in negotiating a great price. Thanks again! Edit 3 weeks later: I removed two stars because unfortunately the dealership made me feel miss lead in many ways. Firstly, when Damien went through the warranty options, he told me I would have top-tier coverage, gesturing at the entire pamphlet of options. While they did give me a very competitive price, they neglected to mention that many of those options weren't even available for the car I purchased. Therefore, when I brought my car back to be serviced (radio Bluetooth lagged, some brake and tire squealing) I was informed of the gaps in my coverage and that the so called "bumper to bumper" warranty I bought was not so comprehensive. They agreed to work on the tire issues but only because I was within the 30-day period, not because of the warrant I purchased. I also asked multiple times during my purchase for a breakdown or itemized receipt, and each time I asked the employees would have to consult each other and never actually ended up getting it for me. (The first time I asked, Demarco told me Damien would get it for me. When I asked, Damien he made a phone call and moved on. When I asked again he made another phone call and Ramin came in and verbally explain to me what I was getting. I was distracted and forgot.) I wish I had persisted and gotten it in writing when I left. I don't know why it was so difficult to get an itemized list of everything I paid for. I feel misled when choosing warranty options and I feel misled by Demarco who seemed like he was trying his best but very underinformed. It's frustrating when dealership stereotypes come true like this, I recommend getting absolutely everything in writing if you are to deal with this place, as their promises sound very enticing but their payout does lack. read more

This is the type of dealership that most people are afraid to go to. Before buying my car, I gave them proof of my insurance, they reported my policy to the bank incorrect. The Bank almost charged me extra money due to the inaccuracy. I never received a second key for my vehicle, despite the fact that I was given a promissory note that I would receive one. I was just blown off until I finally left it alone. The dealer, Eric who sold me the vehicle never contacted me about how I was getting on with the car, he was more preoccupied with getting his 25 dollar rebate from his insurance company for selling me a car. My son's car had finally died and he needed a new one ASAP. Saturday we were looking for a new one and he saw a work truck on their website for the Laurel location. We went to that location and there was nothing but the building, no cars at all. I called and gave the very nice lady the information on the truck my son was interested in. It was at the Landover location and we went there right away. My son took it for a test drive and liked it. My son gave them the information for financing but, I knew we could get a better rate with our credit union. First thing the following Monday my son and I went to the credit union and did the auto loan application. There was a couple of things needed and a phone call to Scott at IAD got that done. We had to leave the credit union for an hour and when we returned all the paperwork was done and loan approved. Yeah!! Back to IAD to pick up the truck. A couple of minor glitches later we were on our way back home. Our salesman was Brenton. He was very pleasant to deal with. Thanks to Scott for dealing with our credit union so promptly. Why only 4 stars: If I had read the previous reviews before we went there, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have done business with IAD. It's been a week now and so far so good. But, I am now I'm feeling apprehensive about the truck and hoping nothing goes wrong with it. With so much going on it never occurred to me to haggle on the price to save my son some money. This might possibly be the most dishonest and unprofessional dealership I have ever spoken with. I reached out regarding a 2019 Santa Fe they had on their lot. I offered them they original listing price $19,995 and I would drive and out purchase the vehicle, they had it listed at $22,997. After speaking with Damian, which I might add was like pulling teeth to get any response from, told me that the retail price of the vehicle was $28,725 and them selling it to me at $19,995 "wouldn't make any sense to sell it for that, and they would have to pay thousands to replace it". Let's think about that for a second. They are selling this vehicle for $6,000 under what they could sell it for? Interesting. I asked Damian how it makes sense to sell a car for $6,000 under what it's apparently worth, he dodged that question all day long. Come to find out later that evening they JACKED the price up to $26,975, that's $4,000... They've had this car for 200 days and they have price increased it by $6,980. AVOID!!! I also got this text message the day after I dealt with them and wrote my review about the dealer from the "Manager". "You are truly a sad human being and we feel bad for anybody who has to deal with you on a regular basis. You played games and offered 3k under listed price initially, never made it to the dealer to purchase for a listed price. 1) We were told in the phone that the prices were negotiable. Drove 45 minutes to get to this spot based on their word... arrived and was told it's non negotiable. Once we disclosed what was told to us on the phone, they were open to negotiation by very little. 2) Service wasn't that great. Our sales man was handling multiple customers at a time. Waited long periods of time for info on cars and to look at vehicles. I felt like they weren't clear with what they could give me and they kept us waiting to see if they could meet us at our offer just to come back and tell us what they could do, which was the same exact thing that had already been offered to us. The one guy did cut some expenses but his boss was on the phone for a while and acted like he was giving us a deal when it was literally the same price the first guy gave us. Made no sense. Left very disappointed that they got our hopes up and wasted our time. HOWEVER, the one (Haitian) manager, I believe, was very nice to us and tried to do his best to work with us. But DO NOT trust these people. One finance manager suggested I allow my car to be repossessed and that a new car loan would redeem my credit. He also asked if I had GAP insurance and insinuated I do insurance fraud to dump my old car. (Black bald guy) Dont know his name The second finance manager said he needed more time to work on my deal. He asked for a 50.00 deposit, but after a week no call. I went back to get my 50.00 and he handed me a fake receipt showing a credit with someone else's card number. After realizing this when I am half way down the road i drove back to the lot. wish I can give no ratings to this unprofessional and disrespectful dealership . I bought my vehicle from IAD 2 months ago and also recommended 2 of my friends. When they came they both came on 2 separated days. However I was with them both just for the ride although I was the one who drove. But long story short I park close taking up 2 parking spaces and started walking inside . After I got inside my friend was talking I one of the employees while I was at the vending machine getting a snack until a guy approached me with an altitude asking me to remove my vehicle from his drive way because I was blocking the drive way from the garage for their mechanic shop .....
