I just left IAD Auto on Brightseat Road in Landover, MD. Upon my arrival, I was immediately approached by a salesman. He extended his hand and introduced himself as Johnny Dunn. I told him that I wasn't ready to purchase today, but I was interested in looking at two vehicles. He informed me that the cars had been transferred to another location. Johnny offered to drive me over to the other location to check out the cars. We immediately hopped in a car and drove over to check out the car. Johnny was very friendly, courteous and professional. He was never pushy or impatient with me. After we test drove each car, I explained again that I wasn't ready to purchase and he said he understood. Thanks to Johnny, I have made my final decision. He drove me back to the other location and took down my information. I didn't purchase today, but Johnny and IAD earned my business. I'll be back! read more

wish I can give no ratings to this unprofessional and disrespectful dealership . I bought my vehicle from IAD 2 months ago and also recommended 2 of my friends. When they came they both came on 2 separated days. However I was with them both just for the ride although I was the one who drove. But long story short I park close taking up 2 parking spaces and started walking inside . After I got inside my friend was talking I one of the employees while I was at the vending machine getting a snack until a guy approached me with an altitude asking me to remove my vehicle from his drive way because I was blocking the drive way from the garage for their mechanic shop ..... When I only took up 2 spaces not blocking no drive way . So anyhow I told him I'm going to move it I'm just getting a snake which he can see that but wants me to move it right there and then after I said let me just get the snack. He then started talking VERY VERY loud that had me shocked because no one I'm the one that's bring business to your dealership. After I requested to speak with the supervisor then he replied he's the owner . So I said well u have no right to talk to me like a lil kid I was at the vending machine only getting a snake and was going to move it right after which I was not blocking anyone or driveway . He began calling me names and cursing me out like I did something to hurt him . Now the only thing that came to my mind is that he saw me in my work cloths and because of black that's why he's talking to me like that even told me to get out since I didn't wanna move it right here and then . Pic think that no matter what happend u should know how to talk your customers instead of being so disrespectful especially if your the owner of the place . Do not due business with dealership. I bought a car from them and I am totally disappointed. When u purchases the car it had floor mats. When I went to pick it up the floor mats were gone. The guy that sold me the car said he would get me some floor mats. Well that never happened. After leaving messages and sending emails, I never got a response. I went to this dealership thinking that business would be business and I would be happy but to only found out I bought a lemon 2 years old. When going back to resolve the problem it was technically my car and they did not get a hoot. then they call me afterwards when I made my comments to say we did everything for me but NEVER HELPED RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I ONLY HAD THE CAR SINCE MARCH2016 AND IN SEPTEMBER PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR START. IAD Auto caters to the low income, desperate and uneducated. The salesmen refuse to tell you the price on any vehicle until they first run your credit. That whole, "you've been pre-approved so just come on down and pick out your new car", line is only used to bait in the unsuspecting buyer. Once you're there, this hole-in-the-wall business operates just like any other run-of-the-mill, back alley, crap car dealership. Their online "inventory" has false and misleading pricing information. Again, another way to bait you in. They come up with the actual price once your credit is evaluated to see how much car you can actually afford. And if you think you'll be driving off without having to put any money down, think again. They require at least $1200-1500 for tags, title, tax and other hidden fees. Something they don't tell you beforehand. This team of swindlers has been around for years. It should be obvious to anyone with half a cerebral cortex that this business is illegitimate. Especially when the head of customer service is dressed like she's heading to a Backyard Band show and the head of internet sales looks like his teeth filed for divorce from his mouth. In the lobby, you can enjoy instant coffee with dirty spoons thrown across the table and Future featuring Migos rap music blaring in the background. Classy. Says a lot when you can't even invest in a coffee pot for your customers. They run about $15 bucks at Walmart. With three locations churning out a fleet of over-priced and under-valued cars, I would be apprehensive before purchasing a paper clip from these people let alone a 2 ton piece of heavy machinery better known as an automobile. *****THE POLICE HATE IAD. The MOTHERS of the people that work at IAD should be so ashamed. When I bought my car from them they promised me a second key and signed a paper for a free detail and 3 free oil changes. They did not give me the paper when I left. I called them the next day and they said it would be in the mail. I waited two weeks and called again and they said they would mail it. No paper came. When I went to pick up the tags and second key they lied and said forget it, no second key. The girl behind the counter gave me the oil change doc. What a joke. It had to be used within 30 days. When I asked about it they grabbed the paper and tore it up. They called me a f*cking woman and get the h*ll out or we will call the police. I made a scene for an hour to all the customers in the place until the police came. The police were so understanding and said they get called on this place everyday. The police officers told me this place only sells lemons. IAD employees are verbally, mentally and monetarily dangerous people. This business should be shut down. ****** read more

Car buying is such a rewarding experience, it can go great or it can go extremely terrible depending on who you go to, their quality of vehicles and the customer service provided. I can tell you from my experience of purchasing my vehicle from IAD Auto, my experience was amazing! I was introduced immediately upon arrival in the parking lot by a gentleman named Ed. Ed had stated if I was going to trust him in the car purchasing process that I would have to know about him first to build a customer relationship (this was interesting as not many places would think to do this but it is very reassuring as a customer). Ed is a former military veteran with years of background in cars and accounting, he was very knowledgable! Since they have such a variety of vehicles, there are three lots for IAD Auto. Ed was able to locate the vehicle immediately for me to test drive. Like everyone, I had concerns and jitters when thoughts of finalizing the purchase rose but of course the management came together and immediately resolved any concerns. They had provided Carfax reports, test drives, and inspections there on sight to address any concerns or issues that may be of question. Having technicians and detailers on sight was very convenient as everything can be handled right then and there! They were able to work out the best and affordable price for me along with ensuring less hassle. Throughout my time there I was constantly offered free drinks and snacks and encouraged to smile. This place was outstanding in all aspects! I was very hesitant from previous reviews but I guess like most business, they aim to improve and work hard to provide customer satisfaction...IAD Auto had did just that! If there was a negative star rating, the assessment would be more accurate. I chose a vehicle via their website. They immediately sent email saying that there wouldn't be any problems, please come down to the store. After spending and entire day sending over requested information, I was told that everything was taken care of. As I was about to leave work and head over to the dealership, I get a call saying that they just sold my car! Then the dude offers me the opportunity to come see him to purchase something else!!! Oooh so first you jerk me out of the first car to get your commisiion, then I'm going to let you massage me even further by buying another car from you???? Of course I said no. When I arrive to the Landover location to get back my paperwork they assured me that they didn't do business that way, then proceeded now to mention another issue! After leaving this place upset, another manager leaves numerous messages begging me to come back to the store, that he wasn't working that day and that he would take care of it. After describing the issue in detail, he begs me to return only upon arrival and after two hour commute, not too even know who I was, and to bring up the very issue that he claimed that he would take care of himself! These guys are fools. Stay as far away from these guys as possible! I'm now leaving this place for the second time very disgusted. I wish I had saw the previous reviews before I even lifted a phone. If they did this to me even before getting a car, can you imagine what you would be getting if something sold by them broke down under warranty??? DON'T BUY YOUR CAR FROM HERE. They sell you junk. I bought my car 6 MOS ago and have had to have it serviced and pay $100 for a deductible to get it fixed. I was without my car for 3 days, just after a month and a half after buying it. Now my check engine light is on and they want to charge me $89 just to tell me what's wrong with it. If I bought the car from you that is something that you should do free of charge. Now, I have to take it somewhere that will tell me for free and hope that the fake a$$ warranty that they made me buy will cover whatever is wrong with it. If it doesn't, then that will be more $$$$ out of my pocket for a car I just bought which is a 2013 Ford Fusion. After reading all of the reviews about this company I was hesitant to even go there, but I tried anyway. I went to the Beltsville office. As soon as I arrived Wesley greeted he was super friendly and so was everyone else at this dealership. They remained friendly the entire process. I can be a difficult customer sometimes when buying cars and it did not phase them one bit. Every question I asked was answered and answered honestly. I originally went to this dealership for a 2015 camaro. After Wesley greeted me we went for a test drive without filling out paper just needed my license. After paperwork and talking to the bank, the camaro was not in my budget so I decided to ask about the 2014 mustang, they did not pressure me into buying a starter car like some dealerships I asked and Chang and Wesley said ok let's try. As far as getting me approved with the car note I wanted Chang really worked his magic, he was awesome. We settled on the mustang, and Chang was honest about everything from recalls on the car to it was once a rental. I had never had a dealer tell me this much information. I walked out with my 2014 mustang a very happy customer and spent about 3 hours tops! If you need a nice used vehicle and have challenged credit go see these guys. My experience with IAD was terrible. They are not professional people at all. Once they had my money and my signature they showed their true colors and if colors could explain their self their color would say "We don't give a F*** about making you feel good about your purchase now that we have your money". The dealer that sold me the car name is Keem, he lied to me over and over again. He told me that they would fix major scratches on my car with no problem and he told me that I would have a second key once I got my tags. It took almost 2 months to get the scratches done and that was only after I had to call, keep reminding and almost beg him to keep his word about getting the scratches fixed. When he finally did tell me to bring my car I waited 5 hours before they did anything to my car. There was no communication. Keem and the rest of the staff members acted as if I was not in the building. I was told to be there at 8am only for me to be told by the paint manager that Keem never scheduled for my car to be painted. IAD continued to give me different times throughout the day. I never got a spare key that I was promised. There were a lot of other little things that lied about was well. I would NOT recommend anybody to purchase a car from them. I would not recommended this dealership. I had been looking at a used car that I thought was a good deal with good mileage and was very interested in purchasing. I had been in touch with Carla several times which she was wanting me to schedule a test drive and a time to come in to look at the vehicle. Due to my work schedule I could not make it in over the weekend but when I made arrangements to come in I called and spoke with a girl who stated Carla was not there but could assist me. When I explained the vehicle I was looking at and that I was coming from Fredericksburg, VA she confirmed the vehicle was there. I had been talking with her on the way down and she told me to talk with Nicole. I drove two hours to get to the dealership to find out the vehicle had been sold the night before and when I asked to speak with Nicole I was told that she was in another building and customers do not go to that building. I spoke with manager which he stated that most of the people in the office I spoke with only had been working there for a month and when I asked for a visa gift card or gas card due to the inconvenience of driving 2 hrs to look at and most likely purchase this vehicle he stated he would have to talk with the overall management because "I am not a gas station, I am not Exon." I thought this was rude because I am a customer whom was given the run around about a vehicle still posted on Edmunds and never received an email or phone call that this vehicle was not there. This situation screams shady, Surly if you are trying to accomadate a possible customer you could afford a 15 dollar gas card especially since this was bad business. Other dealerships I was communicating with were actual sales men that received my info that I was interested in a particular vehicle but this dealership was not like this. read more

I bought a car from this dealer about a month ago. They were so unprofessional and unorganized. They even lied to me to get me to pay more money when I was purchasing my car and when I caught they error they did not want to fix the problem. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They are dirty business people. They will do anything to get you to buy a car and then they change what they said on the contract and try to cover it up. After you buy the car they no longer care about pleasing you or treating you like a valuable customer . Worst business experience ever. read more
