Incredible French 75, friendly and outgoing bartender, and quaint building with a beautiful courtyard. 10/10 highly recommend and will be back!

Hubby and I stopped in for happy hour. I ordered a sazerac and hubby ordered the ice house. The sazerac was good, but a little heavy on the bitters. Hubby's drink was good. We did a to go round with basic. Vodka and soda and a beer. The bathrooms were clean which is an important aspect while drinking and walking through the French quarter. Wouldn't not come here again, but wouldn't make it a must do..

Thomas was kind enough to let me use the bar as a landing spot to get some remote work done and it had a charming ambiance. Plus, once work was done, the drinks were as lovely as the company! Great place to stop off and they of course have to go options available.

Cute little bar inside Hotel Provincial. James is a badass bartender that knows how to keep it real. He has that Old World charm that you can only find in a city like New Orleans. It truly is complementary to the bar itself because that too has that ethereal feel. We got the sazarac and a hurricane. Both drinks were phenomenal. If you stay at the hotel, you get a buy one get one free coupon at check-in. There's not much that I can say about the place, besides that if you are not staying here you should just come in for a quick drink because you won't regret it. Also, the inside is really cute. Like you would feel like you have been transported to a different time period.

The bartender was very nice and welcoming. You can order a drink "for here" or "to go walking with." Oh, NOLA! Came during happy hour. Took my hurricane to the lovely courtyard in the middle of the hotel. The fountain and lights in the trees make for a great place to rest with a drink!

Ducked into this little quaint spot and am having the best drink ever. It's the "ice house" . Most delicious drink in the french quarter.

Amazing is all I have to say. If you are in New Orleans you must stop in and have a cocktail.

James the best bartender in the Quarter!

Best Hurricane in French Quarter or anywhere!! When you're hot and thirsty there's no better place than The Ice Bar for great drinks and super conversation! James the bartender is a goldmine of information too!

Really nice place away from the crowd on Bourbon Street. Not a party place but somewhere to sip your drink, relax and enjoy your time in Nola. The bartender put special care in every cocktails : freshly squeezed lemon juice, great garnishes, etc. Sazerac, French 75, Hurricane and Pimm's Cup, all delicious! Cocktails are 8$ during happy hour. Awesome value!

Nice, fresh, & spicy Bloody Mary.

James the "Happy Hour Bartender" is a very talented, professional, and helpful. He hooked us up on our first day here with his FRESH (NO POWDER BASE) Hurricanes. They were so GOOD. Today decided to get a Bloody Mary. Made with Cajun spices. It was very smooth going down. I really liked my drink. Great hotel bar

Ask the Community - Ice House Bar

Wife and I were there back in January. We had a drink that she is certain was just called The Ice House. Can anyone tell us how to make it? Or at least what is in it? We would love to go back ourselves, but we live in Wisconsin.

Swanky and fun. Located within the Roosevelt hotel, this cool bar has lots of rich history (that…read moreyou can read about while there). Whether sitting at the bar, or in one of the many lounge chairs on the opposite wall, every seat is an excellent. While I knew of the drink French 75, on the bar menu it was offered with either gin or cognac. I decided to try the cognac and so glad I did. Perfectly delicious! It turns out that drink is actually a French 125, so I learned something new that night. Great spot with a great vibe.

The Sazerac Bar at the The Roosevelt New Orleans prepares an outstanding Sazerac cocktail, as you…read morewould expect. While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. We had such a great time sitting at the bar that my wife and I each finished two and a half Sazeracs, which tells you everything you need to know.
