    A proper London martini

Stellar ambiance, service and cocktails. Bartenders are amazing. A proper bar, not a tourist trap. We will be at Loa every chance we get.

This is a nice hotel bar with cool decor and a relaxing setting. They have a lot of great drink options and since it is a full bar they can make whatever you would like. We enjoyed relaxing here for a drink after being in town for work.

My brother was staying at the International House Hotel, where this bar is located inside of. For his stay at the hotel, they gave him 2 complimentary drink tokens for the bar. We went on a week night and there was a decent-sized crowd already there. We put our drink orders in and found a spot on one of the couches. I'm not sure of the bartender's name, but he did a great job on our drinks. (We both decided on French 75s.) I loved the selection of music they played and the rest of the ambiance there was just as good, too. I would definitely go back here.

Was here a few years ago to meet up with a friend, didn't save it so couldn't for the life of me remember where it was. Happily found it again this Mardi gras/Fat Tuesday night and was more than pleasantly surprised. Eric(k)? Was the perfect bartender - super into the mixology of what would work and I trusted him with 3; cocktails if his own design, each one better than the last. The ambiance was a perfect respite from the madness, great place to reminisce with friends and catch a night cap! And do yourself a favor and ask for the "bartender's choice"

I think the drinks menus are made of gold, because the bar tender kept them all behind the bar and wouldn't let me keep it and take it back to my seat. The drinks were okay, but there's more alcohol in my urine after a heavy night of drinking. We won't be back.

Great ambiance. Great bartender and cool drinks. Nice intimate setting with good music. Can't wait to come back!

**this place is open until midnight on Sunday** even though yelp hours state 10pm. Confirmed with bartender that they are open until midnight every night except Friday and Saturday (1am). Vibe is more upscale without any snooty vibes (romantic lighting, cozy and comfy seating). It's attached to the lobby which smells like essential oils. I only had the French 75 here which was OK. I think my group got other cocktails and enjoyed their drinks.

This bar is a remarkable gem, with a menu and staff that set it apart. I stepped down from my room to enjoy a cocktail, and shortly found myself sipping a chanterelle infused French 75. Had I not talked with the manager, Alan, about his careful sous vide process, I might not have been tempted to try it. I was not disappointed; the buttery mushroom was subtle, like a plush velvet rug. Each drink, poured from bottles familiar and otherwise, is served in an eclectic glass. Tara Jill was a master behind the bar, prepping fresh ingredients and keeping me well supplied while chatting among the crowd. The comfortable lounge seating is perfect for starting a long evening, ending for a nightcap, taking someone special, or just gaining Instagram cred.

The ambiance is lovely, and sitting out on their patio made for the perfect, relaxed New Orleans evening. The highlight of our round of drinks was definitely the Righteous Harlot cocktail. It comes in a beautiful flute and is a stunning bright pink color, mixed with vodka, dragon fruit cordial, St. Germain, and sparkling wine. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. We ordered a few different small plates to share around the table. The Scotch Egg was spectacular--perfectly crispy and savory on the outside with a gorgeous, rich jammy yolk inside, served right alongside house-made piccalilli relish. We also tried the Zucchini and Horseradish plate, which was incredibly unique and flavorful. It features a perfectly charred zucchini base loaded with a zesty horseradish cream and topped with beautifully shingles of crisp, fresh zucchini slices. While I didn't get a chance to snap photos of everything else we ate, every single bite was inventive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the bartenders really know their craft. We highly recommend dropping in for a sophisticated drink and a few excellent bites!

Sitting for 2 hours watching the regular turnover of the precious seats at the Carousel is still big fun. And having a friendly chat with the constant turnover of strangers sitting next to us is part of the unique charm of the Carousel Bar. As we were leaving Corey the bartender let us know management is shutting down next month for a few weeks for much needed repairs & renovations so the Carousel can add another 50-60 years to its legacy.

The cocktail list looked interesting, but the two we had tasted pretty standard, inline with what you'd expect from a hotel bar (it is inside Hotel Monteleone). There is a small bar bites menu - the Cubano was tasty but a bit overpriced at $18. The service was okay. We ended up getting water from our server that brought us food as the bartenders were too busy making cocktails. There was a jazz band playing on Thursday night when we visited.

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise.
