This is the best place to get ice cream in Reno, hands down, and I believe that any local who has visited this place would agree! First of all, it's local with lots of character (all the bicycle stuff). The flavors reflect the area (like the Home Means Nevada flavor). They sell sandwiches also so you could have a delicious lunch with dessert. Lastly, the service is great with smiling employees. I tried the Cookie Roulette (I liked/recommend) and Matcha Kit Kat (was alright, don't really recommend). Next time I'll get some other delicious flavor. One thing I think they could possibly improve on is the texture of the ice cream--it's pretty icy and not as creamy as I'd prefer. However, this might be what they're going for with less cream so "more healthy." I'd still come back for more even if they're laying off the heavy cream! Really loved the flavor options at this ice cream parlor! Very unique and definitely tasty. The kid working at the counter said the owner was a purist, so there are no toppings or anything, but the ice cream can stand on its own. Everything is bike themed, and I believe you get 10% off if you ride your bike to the store. We have not tried anything from the deli yet. There is seating inside the store, which is always nice. They also have pre-packed pints for sale, and can hand-pack anything on the current menu for a little more. Will definitely be returning again. read more

I emailed recently to order a few pints during the quarantine. It took a day or two for someone to respond to me, but once they did, the transaction was quick and easy. The pints are a little bit on the pricier side at $9, but their flavors are so unique and you can tell they use the highest quality ingredients. And the pickup process was so easy. I got Taro, Chinese 5 Spice, and Rosemary Chocolate Chip. All three flavors are so accurate and delicious while still being so creamy. The Chinese 5 Spice is probably my favorite ice cream ever. We got our waffle ice cream with Tiramisu and Deep Chocolate. The other cone we got is the Blueberry & Goatcheese and PB&J. In general their ok. Some of them are too frozen like the Tiramisu, you can't really taste the Tiramisu in the ice cream. It's just cream. I like the deep chocolate and the blueberry & goat cheese. I absolutely love all of the unique flavors here! We have been here only multiple occasions and I won't say very flavor has been a hit. However way more hits than misses! My latest obsession is the Passion of the Goat with passion fruit and goat cheese. Other ones we really liked were Tidy Camper (smores), Home Means Nevada (sagebrush), 5 Spice and Lemon. WOW. Okay, now I get the hype. My first visit was just unfortunate, and I'm SO glad I gave it another chance, because I'll be back again and again. I tasted the a few different flavors including the "Fruit Loop Cereal Milk," the "Taro," the "Feta and Date," and the "Blueberry Maple Sorbet." There were so many more I wanted to try, but I knew I couldn't sample everything. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I had no favorite. The decision was soooo hard, but I settled on the sorbet because I felt like something light. The flavor and the texture was perfect; it had a distinct maple syrup taste, but it wasn't overly sweet and worked wonderfully with the blueberry. The overall taste reminded me of my mom's blueberry pancakes! So comforting. My friend had a scoop of the "Taro," and she was swooning after every lick. Is it legal to live in an ice cream shop? I don't think it is, but I'd break the law for 24/7 access to Icecycle's tasty, tasty treats. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, as I LOVE ice cream. I finally got the chance to go last weekend, and now I want to go every day. I even raced across town tonight to get my fix before they closed. Every flavor I've tried has been amazing, and it's made locally with local/regional ingredients. Some options are a little off the wall -- like Home Means Nevada (sage ice cream with pine nuts) and Savory Deliciousness (honey, rosemary, and goat cheese) -- but do yourself a favor and at least sample them, even if they sound gross to you. These immediately became two of my favorite flavors, and you can taste each ingredient without being overwhelmed (FYI -- Savory Deliciousness does have small goat cheese chunks in it). If you get a waxy coating in your mouth while eating, it's probably because the ice cream was overchurned. Ignore this and keep eating. A single scoop is $2.50, and the little waffle rounds that come with your ice cream are also to die for -- and also made in house, I believe. Customer service is solid, and they are pretty patient with patrons who want lots of samples. Lines quickly grow out the door, but I promise it's worth the wait. I have returned since my first cranky experience. Customer service is something I rarely get over when it isn't decent the first time, but with more than one person bugging me about how delicious the ice cream is and how I should just give them another shot (including a fellow Yelper that I just met at a recent Yelp event! go to those! I love ice cream, so I decided to still be a bit fickle and snooty about it. I admit it. If you put a limit on my ice cream experience, I apparently get quite unhappy. My third time was this past week, after I was told the owner actually reads the reviews and had noticed mine. A small discussion was had with another Yelp friend, and I decided to return one more time. I had the "Savory Deliciousness" - walnuts, honey, chevre (goat cheese), and rosemary; Coconut Avocado; and something else with lavender. I want to go buy enough of the Savory Deliciousness to roll around in. That ice cream is NOT messing around. The honey and rosemary are fantastic together in the creamy, cool, lightly sweet ice cream; the walnuts add a nice texture and a bit of depth, and then out of nowhere, boom, tart, tangy goat cheese. I could eat that ice cream ALL day. But I won't... because I just lost over twenty pounds... and now I actually LIKE this place that once made me crankier than a bear that smells a Snickers in a tent. Dang it. I am now okay and will get over my original tizzy about the flavors. I still HIGHLY recommend changing the policy, because hell, your product speaks for itself and when your patrons find flavors they enjoy, they'll spend MORE money, tell MORE people, and keep coming back. This perfect combination for my wife and she couldn't wait to have it in ice cream form. We were so excited that we wanted to rush down to have it on Sunday but alas, they are currently closed on Sundays. Next best thing? I go pick it up and surprise her with it Monday night after work. I really enjoyed the flavor of the coffee and the slight hint of Bailey's. I did think it could use a little more than a hint of Bailey's but I know that alcohol and ice cream don't play together so well. That might not have been possible as this ice cream was already very quick to melt.
