I remember I found Icon Dental on Yelp and was surprised to see 30 5-star reviews. Totally get it now. I waited patiently for the two months before I could get in (now I'm not surprised why Icon is so busy). When I went, I couldn't believe how lovely the office was. It's so warm and inviting, and I love the decor. That sounds silly, but when you're faced with dental work, I feel like a nice atmosphere helps a lot. And the ceiling TVs are AWESOME. I also work downtown so the location is perfection. But the best part: Dr. Tarjan. She is seriously the nicest, most genuine medical professional I've ever met (dental, medical, anything). She legitimately cares how I'm doing. I've seen her THREE times in the last two weeks because after having some fillings (and not wearing my night guard) I had some really active pain in a long-troublesome tooth. She has fit me in every time I call regarding the pain, and did all sorts of helpful things (adjusting my night guard, adjusting my bite, getting me prescriptions, testing for infection/absess, etc.) and has also done this while I actively try to become pregnant (meaning her office has scrambled to do everything quickly before a *hopefully* looming positive test). I enjoy talking to her, and feel like I can depend on her. But also one of the shining spots of this practice is her staff! Cara is AWESOME, the receptionists are AWESOME, my dental hygienist whose name I cannot remember (sorry!) is the sweetest person. Everyone is so professional, kind, and welcoming. Moved to Denver recently and have been in search of a new dentist. I haven't had the best dental experiences so I did a ton of research. Icon is definitely a step above the rest. The staff is very friendly, Dr. Tarjan is super patient and a good listener and the ambiance is very calming (blankets, TVs, noise cancelling headphones). They explain the procedures in detail and show you exactly how much you will be paying. Dr. Tarjan never tries to push unnecessary procedures on you and comes off as sincere and caring. I have never Yelp'd, but I had to give these ladies a review. I've lived in three different states and have been to multiple dentists in each state and I received the best overall care and customer service at Icon. I came in cause my front tooth filling fell out and not only did they fix it (for $200.00 cheaper than it originally costed me) but they also squared off my front two teeth to give me a perfect smile for no extra cost !! The dentist honestly didn't even know what I was being charged lol she really just loved dentistry. The hygenist handled the books and the dentist handled the dentistry which I loved to see. I have kind of always hated having my teeth cleaned. So I do avoid the dentist, but tried Icon Dental, because I work near the area and knew that I would have a morning off in the next week. When I walked in, I found that they are brand new, everything inside is super clean and very chic. It is more equal to a spa experience than any fluoride smelling dentist's office that I have ever walked into. Dr. Tarjan could not have been any sweeter, there are TVs in the ceiling and headphones to keep you distracted when you likely could use some distraction. Big fan of this dental office. They're always prompt on getting me in on time and the technicians all do great work. The doctor is super friendly, nice and very informative. The office is super clean, updated and modern. It definitely feels very warm and welcoming to say the least. I absolutely love they offer glasses to offset the bright lights and then have the TVs on the ceiling--super nice tough! My first visit here was because my crown popped off (from a previous dentist back in Texas) and they were able to save the crown without making me get a new one that would have cost an arm and a leg. Prices are pretty equal considering dental standard pricing. I do hope they get a system to where you can book an appointment online instead of a.call back service. It's just so convenient to book online! Other than that, this place is great and will definitely be my go to dentist as a new Denver resident as this is my 3rd visit and have not been disappointed. I hadn't been to the dentist in a long while and knew I had to man up and go. I found Icon Dental on Yelp and after reading a few of their reviews I felt like this was the spot for me. From the moment I walked in I began to feel more at ease and the whole experience was a great one. Honestly from the time I made the appointment and spoke with and was greeted by Michelle at the front desk, to having Dr. Tarjan work on my teeth, the experience was great and felt totally at ease throughout it. Due to my time away from the Dentist, Dr. Tarjan told me I would need the dreaded deep-scale cleaning but explained the process to me, what would be done, how long it would take, and what my insurance would and would not cover. Dr. Tarjan didn't think she would be able to do it that day while I was there because my appt. was not blocked for the 2 hours it would take. At that point, I honestly pleaded with her to see if we could begin since I had already mustered the courage I needed just to make it to the appt that day and was in the chair and ready to go. She happily adhered to my pleas, rearranged some things and went to work, accommodating my request. I am not going to lie, the deep-scale cleaning is a process, but everything that was done by Dr. Tarjan was explained clearly and I was totally fine throughout with only a numbing agent, (not Novocain injections) applied to my gums. Dr. Tarjan's professional touch and her detail made the procedure painless and quicker than we thought it was going to be, and I enjoyed sitting back and listening to my tunes and watching Tom and Jerry cartoons on the TV. After everything was done, my mouth and teeth were clean and feel great. The process was so easy I am literally kicking myself for putting it off for as long as I did. The hygienist who polished my teeth after the deep cleaning was great too, and best of all, no one yelled at me for my oral neglect, even though I probably deserved it. I am giving this dentist 3 stars due to their staff being welcoming and friendly as well as the office being very clean. BUT, the prices are through the roof here. For 7 cavities (which my other dentist said were very minor), Icon Dental was trying to charge me almost $800 AFTER INSURANCE. The original price was well over $1,000. The staff claimed this is because they use composite resin fillings. First time I walked in the ladies at the front desk were sweet and helped me set an appointment to come in for an annual cleaning. Going in for my cleaning, (which was covered by insurance), I preferred not to use fluoride and they had an option for me which was cool. Although I was unable to see the ingredients in the toothpaste due to packaging being thrown away and the staff was not sure what all was in it. Back to the money issue, the price sounded very outrageous so I went to visit my dentist I went to back at home in Texas and was able to get 4 cavities filled with composite resin for under $100 after insurance. Do your homework on dentist or else your wallet will get raped! If money is not an issue for you, this place is awesome. I thought it was neat that Icon Dental offers plans for people who do not have dental insurance and find a way to work with them. read more

I have been going to Dr. Tarjan for about a year now. In the past I have always dreaded going to the dentist. It is my least favorite type of doctors visit by far. Dr. Tarjan and her staffed have changed that mindset completely and while I still don't love dental work, I am never anxious or dreading going there. Icon Dental always makes me feel well cared for and they provide high quality work. Michelle, the office manager is always willing to work with you when you need to change your appointment and is prompt at answering any questions. All of the dental hygenists are great, but I usually work with Cara. She is super nice and always remembers me and things going on in my life, despite only seeing my every few months and having lots of clients. Dr. Tarjan is also very good with this and it makes me feel like I'm getting very personalized care. They are great at telling me all of my options when it comes to my dental care and answering any questions and telling me the pros and cons. Anytime I have a friend looking for a recommendation for a dentist, I don't hesitate to tell them to go to Icon Dental. Great staff, great service, and a great location. PS. A couple of weekends ago I had a major catastrophe. A double bridge came out, breaking three teeth at the gum line along with it from my lower right jaw! Yes, 5 spots all together. I had seen DR. Tarjan for routine work, but this work was all done 18 years ago in Indiana and not hers. When I called her on Saturday, panicking, she was calm and asked some questions and had me send some pictures. Somehow, there was no pain so she cleared her schedule Monday afternoon and I went in. She removed the bottom half of the broken teeth and prepped for the inevitable implants by adding bone. The whole time I was in the office, my questions & concerns were addressed and answered. She was even in touch with the specialist, making my future appointments. It was painless and she worked for several hours. I have never seen or had more professional work from a dentist and the entire office. I left knowing what was coming in the near future. This completely removed any of my fears I would have otherwise certainly had coming from another state. She and her staff are incredibly professional and extremely good. She has been in constant contact and really cares. I'm a patient for life. read more

My experience at Icon Dental was great! I had to get an emergency cavity filled and they were able to get me in right away on a Friday afternoon. The staff was so nice and friendly and the office is very clean and well decorated (and of course a great location downtown). I was offered coffee or water upon arrival and was in the dentist chair within minutes. Dr. Tarjan was very friendly and we talked all about her dental experience and background. She was extra careful with my sensitive teeth, and there was even a flat screen tv to watch and headphones to wear while getting work done. Before leaving I received a little bag with the typical toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss, but it also included a lottery ticket and a personalized hand written note from Nazeli. Never before have I felt compelled to write a review about my experience with a business - good or bad. I am breaking my Yelp silence to sing the praises of Icon Dental. I went there today (my first time) for a teeth cleaning and basically, the whole experience was too FANTASTIC to keep to myself! From the moment I walked in the office I was impressed. The entire office is super inviting and disarming! Whatever normal pre-dentist jitters I had evaporated at the front desk. Michelle, the receptionist, greeted me with a smile that said 'everything will be alright.. This place is different.' And it truly is.. From the top... There was no endless 'new patient' paperwork to fill out. A few moments with an iPad and they had all the information they needed. I was then greeted by the dental hygienist, Kara, and Dr. Nazeli who together lead me back to the most comfortable examination room EVER!! I felt like I was seated in a space age lounge/dental chair. There was a flat screen tv mounted to the ceiling above me offering more cable channels than I have at home. First, X-rays, which took exactly 3 minutes to take and get reviewed by Dr. Nazeli. I thought she was kidding me when she said, everything looked good'. How could she have possibly got them so fast?!?! When the cleaning began, I had headphones on enjoying trashy tv.. Best of all, there was both Dr. Nazeli and Kara working together on my teeth. Dr. Nazeli was cleaning while Kara worked the spit vacuum. There were none of the usual moments of trying not to gag on the puddle of saliva in my mouth while the person cleaning my teeth gets one last scrap or two in before reaching for the spit sucker! It was like an oral pit crew or a choreographed dance that took place in my mouth with the intention of getting my teeth spotless and keeping me comfortable at the same time. Honest to God, I was a little bummed out when they were done. But, my teeth look and feel fantastic! The whole experience was like an hour at the "Dental Spa"! I found this dentist through Yelp as I recently moved out here and saw the good reviews. I had my 6 month check-up a few weeks ago and could not be more impressed by their professionalism. The entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating to my special health needs. Once entering the office I was overwhelmed by the cleanliness, spa-like feeling, and the newest technology. If you are looking for a dentist that won't give you an evil eye or lecture you about being a bad flosser but instead goes over-the-top for her patients to create an action plan to fix any problems than this is the place for you! read more

Dr. Tarjan took time to listen to my concerns and presented me with several options. I decided on the quickest/easiest solution, and she was able to fix it on the spot in less than 5 minutes! I have had the worst experiences after a dentist I loved retired several years ago. And sadly I didn't see a dentist for over a year after a very bad experience with a periodontist that not only was bad and painful but then they tried to overcharge me after agreed on charges. Fast forward to Icon dental. First of all their receptionist is the sweetest girl. I actually had to cancel my initial appointment because my dog was acting very sick and I needed to take her to the veterinarian. (She was diagnosed with cancer) I left them a message on Sunday as my appointment was on Monday and they were very kind about rescheduling and not charging me. When I went to my appointment the next Friday when they had a cancellation they were lovely. I can't say enough about the hygienist Dakota who spent at least an hour with me between the x-rays and the cleaning which was an unbelievably fantastic experience and believe me I never thought I'd say that about a dental visit! I think she was probably the most qualified hygienist I've ever experienced in my 52 years of life... Well probably didn't go to dentist for the first 10 yrs of my life LOL .They then give you a swag bag so to speak with a toothbrush , floss, and travel size toothpaste. I can actually say I look forward to my next visit. The only negative I was scheduled to see Dr Tarjan and another dentist came in to see me. I was initially not very happy however this dentist was fine as she spent only a few minutes with me and was very nice. I never felt comfortable with the interventions recommended to me by Icon Dental. I went to another dentist for a second opinion. There was significantly less cost and more discussion of my treatment plan. I felt almost scared into following the recommendations at icon dental. The second facility offered a discussion. I'm so thankful I only received a cleaning at Icon & not dental care. My husband now has to get a root canal because they filled a cavity on a cracked tooth. They misdiagnosed him for a crown on a Friday & by Sunday he was in 10/10 pain. We had to go to urgent care for a prescription for pain medication, because ibuprofen and Tylenol were not even touching his pain. My husband followed up for the crown on Tuesday and guess what? He needs a root canal. So now we wait another day for a root canal. Luckily, my husband he has great sick pay, but this is insane. Three days of potential lost wages! I cannot and would not recommend you receive any care above a cleaning from the hygienist. read more

They got all needed information so they already verified my insurance when I came in! They got me in as I had broke part of my molar, they saw me to check it out. Neydia my dental hygienist was amazing! Super nice, I explained I had a lot of anxiety about the whole process. She was AWESOME!!! Completely put me at ease and was great through the procedure! Dr. Tarjan honestly could not have been better!!! Took time to listen and hear me out! Also put me at complete ease! OUTSTANDING!!! Explained the whole process and what I would look at with cost. I ended up getting it fixed right then! I needed a crown and they are LEADING in cutting edge technology!!! They make their porcelain crowns in the office!!! I've never seen such technology!!! I stepped into the future with the equipment they used!!! No pain what so ever!!! (And I'm kind of a cry baby) I can't beam enough about the AMAZING EXPERIENCE they gave me!!! Yes, the office is really cute and at the perfect location being right downtown. But when I think about what is really important to me in a dentist office, it's attentive professionals who are great at what they do. Icon has changed me from an anxious dental patient to someone who isn't afraid of the dentist. They offer all of the amenities to make for a good experience, including ceiling TV's, headphones, laughing gas, and chapstick.
