Dr. Cody Soohoo has been absolutely fantastic at Ideal Body. His thorough knowledge of all the different muscles and joints and how they all should work together through proper biomechanics is very transparent when explaining & treating injuries. I have been under his care for several months now and his deep muscle work and stretching exercises have slowly helped heal countless pain and injuries sustained from rock climbing and working a desk job. His ideology is to not only treat the pain but to teach preventative care with proper biomechanics, so you don't become reliant on chiropractic treatment. If that isn't real treatment to help you get better, I don't know what is. I've been working with Dr. SooHoo for a couple of months now, and he has been great! I sought out treatment due to constant neck pain as a result of working from home. My neck and shoulder muscles were tight such that it would cause intermittent flareups with my nerves surrounding that area. After a series of sessions, my condition has gotten significantly better to a point that the pain and tension are mostly gone. Now we are focused on progress maintenance. I was recently in a really bad car accident. I called and scheduled an appointment and informed the Dr. That I needed to use my insurance claim for payment. I can barely move as is. I suffer from scoliosis prior to my accident thus you can imagine how bad my car accident aggravated my pain even further. I waited all weekend to see the Dr. Only for him to tell me I have to pay for all of my sessions upfront and request reimbursement later from insurance. I struggled so bad this morning just to get out of bed and deal with this. This is not ok you should clarify information with patients prior to visiting. This was nothing but a waste of time and gas. My husband pushed me to see Dr. Simon when I started experiencing weird numbness in my arm. I had extremely high blood pressure at that time, possibly due to my arm issue. But once I got adjusted, my blood pressure actually came back to normal, Dr. Simon said he doesn't claim to fix your blood pressure but I think the stress on my body was causing my high blood pressure and once that's fix, everything went back to normal. Dr. Simon is very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. He knows how to make you feel comfortable and truly cares about his patient. I stopped coming to see him when the shutdown started and after two months I knew it was a mistake, the stress and anxiety from dealing with just the daily uncertainty was definitely taking a toll on my body. As a runner, sometimes you get tight muscles and injuries you don't see coming so I have been visiting Dr. Gan for a couple of months and his communication skills has been top notch. He will tell you what it is, what's probably causing it, treat it and the best part, is how to prevent it with some stretching/strengthening moves. I found Ideal Body Chiropractic through a friend, and I couldn't have been more happy about the experience. Dr. Kuang, or Simon as he might have you call him, is professional, patient, courteous, and knowledgable. Since I had never been to a chiropractor before, I was a bit difficult to work with, but he was very patient with me, even through all of my squirming and complaining. Not only does he alleviate the problem, but he educates you on why the area is acting this way, and educates you in a way you can understand, in order to minimize the problem in the future. He's overall a good guy, and makes you feel like he's known you his whole life after just one visit. His facility is large, comfortable, and clean. I injured my arm while exercising, and I'd heard about the wonders Dr. Simon could do with this type of injury. So even though it wasn't a back problem, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with him. I was very impressed with the questions he asked and the movements he had me do to focus in on the problem. He certainly did a MUCH better job than my regular doctor did! Then he worked on my arm with the active release technique to begin the healing process. Dr. Simon prescribed specific exercises for me to do to strengthen the arm and prevent further problems. My arm is sooooo much better, and I'm now a regular patient. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for either chiropractic care OR Sports therapy. So do I recommend him? Absolutely YES! Dr. Kuang is awesome! After starting school and sitting for hours on end, I developed some sciatic pain that made it difficult to sit or walk like a normal person. I Found him in yelp and called him that day. He couldn't fit me in that day, but he did do a mini phone consult to figure out what it could be and gave me some stretches that would help. Made an appointment to be seen in the office, and my goodness the place is beautiful. He said he designed it himself, which is beyond impressive since it looks like it popped out of a shabby chic home magazine except with a bunch of exercise paraphernalia. I digress... Dr. Kuang was really thorough is assessing the problem and explaining the what's and whys. He was an athlete himself and really knows his muscles. His sessions feel like a painful massage, but the good kind. I saw him about 4 times over the span of 2 months(?) but have experienced remarkable relief of my aching butt and leg, yay! He demonstrated some simple exercises for me to do as homework, which I still do whenever I have time. He's personable and may even break out in song for you when the right 90's song is on. Dr. Kuang is the BEST!!! This was my first ever chiropractic experience so naturally I was skeptical and nervous. I called his office to schedule an appointment because I had an ankle injury that recently flared back up again and confined me to crutches for a few days. Right off the bat, all my worries were put at ease by his demeanor. During our call, he explained to me the type of work that he does and described some of the treatments that I might require (all other places I called said I needed to come in for an evaluation). I understand coming in for an evaluation is required for an accurate diagnosis but the fact that he actually listened to my needs and answered my questions during our initial call persuaded me to schedule an appointment. During my first visit (3 required after diagnosis) he was very thorough explaining the treatment required and was very knowledgeable. I am a visual learner so him not only explaining, but using his hands as props to show me how the bones in the ankle work really helped understand the root of the problem. I was very impressed by how comfortable the entire process was. This was mainly due to how personable he was. He made me feel like we were old friends while at the same time remaining professional and courteous, which I find is hard for some healthcare providers to do (for the most part, it's one or the other). Throughout my treatment, he combined the use active release technique, graston technique, and two ankle adjustments. He even mentioned that he had suffered a similar injury and that he had received similar treatment for it which made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing. After my subsequent visits, I felt a hundred times better and often as good as new! I'm planning on making routine visits and would recommend him to anyone looking to resolve their pain and stay out of pain. P.S. His dog Kilo is the cutest! Very friendly and well trained. read more

I consider myself an athletic person. I've been dancing since I was two years old, received my Bachelors in Dance, and have been training in Olympic Weightlifting for the last two years. So thankful to have crossed paths with Ideal Body Chiropractic. When hearing friends talk about their experience with chiropractors, I mostly hear about the usual cycle of events: examination, treatment, and scheduling the next appointment, (meaning quick fixes but no long term improvement). Thankfully, my experience here is not that all. Dr. Kuang is very knowledgeable. He takes care to examine physical issues to fully understand the problems so he can effectively treat them. During the treatment, he explains the physiology and nature of the injury. This is quite helpful because he explains how the treatment/movement/adjustment that he's preforming is helping with that specific injury/issue. You can tell the passion he has for his craft when he talks about the physiology. After the treatment, he takes it one step further in suggesting different exercises and rehab techniques to help strengthen and improve on an injury. As a track and field athlete, this is great because I have some control of the healing process. I can recover faster doing the rehab techniques that he suggests to target specific areas that I need to improve. On top of all that, he's just a nice person. I would like to thank Dr Jason Gan getting me back to where I can run almost as fast as I did over 20 years ago. I visited him to get a 2nd opinion on my right leg hamstring. The source was actually not my hamstring and after a few visits I'm better then before my I got injury. On top of that, he fixed the last bit of back pain that I had been working on for the past 15 years. That was worth it just in itself! He took the time to analyze my injurers and plan a regiment to got me back in working order and educate me on what to do before my baseball games and other activities. I highly recommend Dr. Simon Kuang. I am an active crossfitter, and I had left shoulder, lat, and related area issue solid for the past four months (tightness, pain and limited range of motion). In one visit, using a combination of Chiropractic Adjustments and Active Release Therapy, he was able to completely stop the pain and reduce the tightness and limitation on range of motion. The day immediately following the visit, I was able to perform all of the movements that I had been avoiding for the past few months because of the issue. But what sets Dr. Simon apart, is that he diligently diagnoses the cause of the problem and explains exactly what is causing the problem and why he is performing the specific treatments. Then, he provides you with a game plan for avoiding the problem in the future; for me it was using certain banded stretching and myofascial release techniques. I will go back to Dr. Simon anytime I have an issue, and recommend him to everyone.
