I recently visited this office after moving to Austin. While the initial exam went fine, my experience with the "treatment coordinator" was a major red flag for anyone who values honest healthcare. After the exam, I was presented with a treatment plan for Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) that included nearly $300 in "Arestin" (localized antibiotics) that insurance does not cover. When I requested to proceed with the cleaning first and "wait and see" if my pockets improved before using the medication--which is a standard clinical approach--I was told by the salesperson that the cleaning "doesn't actually do anything without the medicine." He also said there is no option to apply the Arestin at a later date even though the manufacturers own marketing materials state this as one way to apply it. I asked for clarification, and he double-downed, claiming that the SRP provides no benefit without the Arestin and stating that the office refuses to perform the cleaning unless I pay for the medication. Thankfully I sought a second opinion elsewhere and they confirmed that the $300 add ons were unnecessary and unhelpful. As someone who values evidence-based care, I find it incredibly predatory to tell a patient that the "gold standard" medical treatment for gum disease is "useless" unless they buy an optional, out-of-pocket add-on. My second opinion at a private practice confirmed that this was medically inaccurate. The new office provided a transparent plan for the necessary cleaning without any of the high-pressure sales scripts or mandatory "extra" medications. If you are looking for a dental home that respects patient autonomy and provides honest clinical advice, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I used to see Dr. Natassia Martins. She made me wait for more than 45 minutes all the time, and got very angry cause I kept asking when she was coming. Then she did the cleaning and hurt me a lot. Then she said I had gingivitis, but she didn't say what to do about it. I've changed to another dentist near by for a second opinion. He said I had dry mouth, but not gingivitis. This is my first time getting treatment with Ideal Dental and I am happy with my choice! Not only was everyone very kind but the overall environment was calming and warm. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep while getting a root canal! Lol Dr. Natassia was great in her explanation of what I needed done and even better at preforming the procedure. I was also happy with the cost of my root canal especially after being quoted over a thousand dollars more at another dentistry. Thank you Ideal Dental team for taking care of me! The staff is very kind when you walk in but one x-ray in my mouth and the dentist wanted me to get 3 cavities redone from when I was young, a root canal and crown. Then, she took one more x-ray and wanted to do another 3 cavities, asking for over $3,000 of dental work in my first visit. I went to get a second opinion without telling the other place what I had heard from Brush32 and she concluded I only had 1 cavity in total. I told her what had happened and she checked again but said they were definitely not ready to all be redone and most just had some staining from age but no cavity. I go to the dentist twice a year and religiously brush my teeth. I've never experience the kind of place that just wants to make money over preserving long term clients. Ok...so I went back six months after my first visit. Far different experience. The staff was pleasant on both occasions, however on my 2nd visit they were more efficient and respectful of my time. Got my cleaning done within reasonable time, and my Hygienist and Doctor were both professional. No attempts to recommend unnecessary work. Overall pleasant experience. read more

Never in a million years did I think I would like a dental office enough to write a review but man...Dr. Randi and her staff have changed that for sure! Everything about the dental experience with them is seamless - Sasha at the front desk is so sweet, informative, and accommodating. The hygienists are kind, understanding, and skilled. Dr. Randi is incredible! She's relational but still fast and makes sure to talk through options with you when something is of concern. Very nice staff. Very bad dentist. I had a filling that I'd had for 15 years fall out. Had it put in here and it fell out 3 times. They drilled down one of my other teeth saying it was the bite even. After the 3rd time it fell out I switched dentists and was informed they'd been attempting to fill it incorrectly. So 3 visits of drilling, filling, and anxiety for nothing. Again, staff is super sweet but a very young and inexperienced dentist. read more

I've not liked my dentist for several years. So when I got a letter from my insurance company stating they had added new doctors I did a little research and found Dr. Randi Polster. She had good reviews on yelp so I gave her a try. I wasn't disappointed. The office was nice and clean with modern equipment. The staff were pleasant and professional. So was the doctor herself. And she had beautiful teeth too. They informed me of what I needed but did not try to strong arm me into anything. I'm pleased to finally find a dentist I have confidence in. read more

Love this office! Not only are the decorations make you feel at home, but so does the staff! Dr. Lewis and her staff make sure your experience is A+ at each visit. I have been coming to Brush 32 for a year and love it! The staff is super friendly and patient, really taking the time to explain everything. I came in for a cleaning on my lunch break and they got me in and out in an hour so I wasn't late. They are very flexible with scheduling- when I had a dental issue between cleanings they got me in a day later. Big perk that they are open every other Saturday. I normally don't write reviews but I wanted to promote how great this dental office is! I called to get an appointment to many other dental offices and they were booked out for weeks. Called Brush 32 this morning and got fit right in an hour later AND they were able to check my insurance benefits before coming in. The receptionist, Sasha, was very sweet and welcoming over the phone, and I knew from when she first picked up that my experience here would be great. The hygienist, Chelsea, was very accommodating and provided great service. This is all before I got to see Dr. Randi Polster! Right when she walked into my room she was great. Addressed all my problems and explained everything to me so that I was able to understand. No other dentist has ever addressed these issues in greater detail than Dr. Polster. She also followed up with a call to check on how I was doing after the exam!! Great customer service all the way through! I'm very happy with my experience here and will come back again! Well I was a happy camper until I received a text message from the 32 Dental Central saying that my crown is not in. My problem with this is whole scenarios is why not call me before hand if your office was having issues with receiving my crown. My appointment was scheduled today which I had to scheduled time off from work to take of my appointment and no one contacted about this until today. I thought this was very unprofessional on how I was contacted about this and the fact you all demanded that I pay 60% upfront for the crown which I did. I was asked to pay for procedures up front in which I agreed to, but when I went in for a routIne cleaning ( which is covered 100%) I was asked to put a credit card on file or else I could Not be seen. please note I have a 0 balance and hadn't had any problems paying my bills in the past I was told this was a new policy that I MUST give them my credit card Information. BRUSH32 tried to scam half of my mouth for a few dimes. I visited the office in December 2019, and was told after a routine cleaning and x-ray that I had not one, not two, not three but five cavities! I thought this couldn't be right as I had just visited a dentist that I had used to go to for 15 years a few months prior. Furthermore, BRUSH32 took my x-rays before they had finished cleaning my teeth! The spots they hastily showed that were "cavities " were mere small dots that could have easily been surface stains. I quickly exited and paid my dues for the cleaning and x-rays and told them that I would need to get a second opinion on this ridiculous claim. Due to 2020, I halted dentists appointments until today when I visited my dentist again of 15 years which I had originally quit going to because of location. At this point, I was ready to haul out as far as it took to get reputable and trustworthy care. My dentist reviewed my x-rays from BRUSH32 and said that he did not see anything wrong. I am shocked to discover that Brush32 honestly tried to scam my innocent mouth for a few dimes. To this day, I have no pain in my mouth and clearly no cavities after a reputable, professional, family practice dentist reviewed the alleged scam. BRUSH32 you should be ashamed of yourself. I plan to spread the word about your scam artistry as a native Austinite. Good citizens of Austin, think twice before you visit this place. I just had my first appointment at Brush 32 and the whole staff made me feel welcomed and at home. From the minute I walked through the door, the hospitality needle was high in red. The hygienist/tech was efficient, friendly and professional, the Dr. took her time to explain my situation in great detail. The business manager also provided options for payment. I've been around a while, and have experienced enough dentist to be able to say she is right there on top, for one so young. She is gentle and considerate, caring about your comfort. If I could give this dentist office a lower rating, I would. While the hygienists are pleasant and the current dentist seems competent, they do not make up for the rude and condescending office staff. A mistake was made by the previous dentist, Dr. Randi Polster, which then required a root canal. This mistake cost me time, income, and put me in an immense amount of pain. I visited the office 8 times in the span of 4 months. While the current dentist, Dr. Stephanie Castro, is not responsible for all of these issues, I should not have been required to pay for the previous dentist's mistakes. This situation could have easily been remedied by the office staff. However, their inability to handle the situation professionally and politely really made the experience worse. Multiple appointments were canceled on me at the last minute and I was never contacted to reschedule. I was told incorrect appointment times over the phone, missed my appointment and then was condescended to over the phone by Laken, a particularly rude member of their office staff. I have never been more blatantly disrespected than I have at this dentist office. I strongly advise against visiting Brush 32 Central Austin. read more

Absolutely happy with this dental office. My wife needed some dental work done but was quoted almost 1500 dollars(with insurance) for a root canal by a dentist in the town we live. We decided that we would do a little more research and stumbled upon Brush 32. Although it was 3 hours away from us, they were happy to accept our insurance and was also a part of the network which meant great prices. As soon as we walked in we were greeted quickly by the sweet receptionist and filled out some paperwork. After the paperwork was done, they took my wife in for x-rays and then Dr. Lewis managed to put my wife on the schedule for same day work! It felt nice to finally be at a dental office willing to work with you. What surprised me even more was my wife telling me that Dr. Lewis left a voicemail that evening just to check on how she was feeling and to open the lines of communication in case she had any questions. I can tell she truly cares about her patients and is passionate about her profession. I would recommend this office to anyone that wants to have a pleasant dental experience. read more
