Paid $2800 and provided an Alpine IL-W650 double din (which vanished according to Michael Pelagio) over the course of six months to get my interior refinished, audio set up, body work and paint done. I became concerned when a mutual friend told me the owner (Michael Pelagio) had let friends and family know that his business was falling. Crook! Mike is a crook. Did a crappy paint job on both of our vehicles saying they were ready to go. Promised us he would refund some of the money back and months later still nothing. This man is a crook! He's ignored our messages, calls and even blocked us both on social media. I gave him my PayPal info for the refund back in November 2019 and we are in May of 2020 and haven't heard anything back! DONT SEND YOUR CAR HERE!!!! iDesigns fixed my Lexus when an Asian lady drove her SUV into my door in a parking lot (SMH). The owner of the shop, Mike, helped me get the rental car and even drove me over to the rental place to pick it up. Super nice guy! Perhaps the best thing about iDesigns is their service - I'm an EXTREMELY busy person, and am ALWAYS on the go. Unfortunately, I don't really have time to follow up and micromanage a situation like my car getting fixed. Luckily for me, I didn't need to! The office manager at the shop, Mitchelle, was simply amazing. She is proactive and would provide me with updates about the car, and where it was in the process of being fixed. Even simple things like "your parts just arrived. We're waiting on a couple more parts, then we'll get the repair started..." and "we already have the front fender fixed, and while we were at it, we polished out your headlights because they were starting to get frosty" make a HUGE difference to me. Mitchelle is on top of her game, and extremely pleasant to deal with! As a result of their great service, I sent two more cars to iDesigns recently. Common thing you would get is a very long time to get your ride touched or worked on and be told that they are waiting on parts or blame the weather that they cant do the job on that day. Also calling or texting or emailing won't really help. They will only reply when they fell like it! Setup a meet up witb mike to talk about how frustrated you are and he won't show up or even has the balls to tell you hes doing what he cans and to get the job done, but yet again your car is outside in the sun and rain if ever. My husband wanted his car painted a matte black some time ago. I didn't know what matte black was, so my husband described it as a charcoal color, but smooth. i didn't really understand how it was gonna look & i hesitated about getting his FJ painted, but it's his car so it was up to him. We took it to iDesigns in 2010 to get the matte black done. When we got the FJ back, i was surprised at how good it looked & how well it was painted! Smooth & cleanly done! we were constantly asked if the paint job on the FJ is a wrap & when we say "no, it's paint" they think we're lying. Fast frwd...About a month ago, my husband decided to get his FJ repainted to a matte red. I kinda hesitated about the color even tho red is my fave. i just wasn't sure it'll look good on the FJ. Again, we took the FJ to iDesigns. They kept us updated on the FJ everytime work was being done on it. When my husband showed me a photo update on instagram, i was impressed cuz the FJ looked really good in the photos. When we picked up the FJ, it looks much better in person! They repaired not one but two cars for me for a gear price! Mike was pretty honest and satisfying when it came to his performance in work. I took our '14 Dodge Charger in for a couple of reasons it had a couple Of door dings scratches and biggest part was the fRont bumper was fading! I got recommended here by some work friends I went in dropped off the car elaborated on everything I wanted done and when I got back the first time it wasn't exactly done the way I expected but I believe it was because maybe we didn't communicate properly but I finally left it a few days longer and when I got it back it was finally done the way I wanted it and was very satisfied I then took my '18 Honda Accord because someone bumped into the rear bumper leaving quite a bit of scuffing and they fixed it in one day! UPDATE: It's been years and I'm still not over it. Seriously everyone, don't go here. I rescind my previous review about this place. About 8-9 months ago I brought in my Nissan 350z for paint on the front bumper and fenders. At the time the work came out alright despite having taken about 3 weeks to complete. After those few months, the paint on the front bumper started chipping and peeling everywhere. I took it back and the shop owner Mike decided they would paint it under warranty again due to it being an error at the priming phase. Fast forward to when I brought the car in, I was going to get a new rear bumper as well as the front paint which he quoted me a fair price for and said the work will only take 3 days to complete. Well, to my dismay, it took 4 weeks of my car being left outside the property, not being touched by a single person at the shop, for me to take it back and request a refund. I had been lied to constantly by the owner, Mike, saying that work was being done and that the bumper had already been picked up/going to be picked up/ being fitted, etc. He also dodged my calls and texts constantly. I had to physically make the 30 mile drive to the shop on many occasions to get straight answers from the shop employees. Turns out he had never even relayed any instructions to the staff to start on my car, so to them, it was just a random Z sitting outside on the street. And on the subject of the refund, I had to badger Mike for over 2 weeks to get my refund and every time the answer was "oh I'll work on it today since I have more time". Ultimately, I had to do a chargeback through my bank to get my money back. I normally try to refrain from insults but this shop and it's owner are shady and scummy to say the least. I've talked to other former customers that I've met over this whole ordeal and everyone has had similar issues and have agreed with me in saying this: DONT EVER GO TO THIS SHOP OR ANYWHERE AFFILIATED WITH THEM! I mean, unless being lied to and cheated is, like, your fetish or something. read more

I was recommended to this shop by a friend and they quoted paint and bodywork on my motorcycle. The 'owner', Mike, estimated three weeks and asked for a 10% deposit to start the work and promised to store the bike indoors on the trickle charger. When I gave them a credit card over the phone, they charged 100% of the estimate and the 'Supervisor' told me he was just doing what he was told, I would have to talk to Mike about anything. One month later, Mike told me all the paint was done and they were reinstalling headlight/taillight. Two months later I took off a day of work and drove over to see they had not touched the bike. Mike confirmed 3 days before that he would meet me there. When I arrived he was not in the shop and would not answer his phone, the supervisor told me I "had to talk to the Mike." Bike was left outside and covered with dust and bondo, aluminum parts had faded from black to brown due to UV light, and the trickle charger I left for them was not used. When he finally answered my call days later, Mike said they hadn't worked on it because it was hot in the summer which made everyone sick! How absurd but at least it was a creative excuse! Promised to finish the work and deliver the bike in one month. Two months later I took a trailer determined to pick the motorcycle up no matter the status. Found it as I had left it, Mike happened to show up (first time I ever saw him!!), apologized and told me I was cool for not making a big deal. Promised to refund my money. Two weeks later, no refund, but Mike tells me he's sorry and doesn't want to burn bridges, just didn't have enough cash in his account. I requested a credit through my card provider and they informed that iDesign was disputing my claim! They essentially held my bike long enough to avoid issuing a refund because I had to file the claim so late, then let me pick it up when they knew they'd be able to keep my money. Eventually I was forced to report the matter as fraud, now I have a dirty motorcycle with a faded finish and a dead battery. read more

I was looking for a shop to get my car fix Nissan Altima and found Michael-iDesign on FB, saw some pics of his work and decided to contact him, from the first time he was so helpful answered all my questions, and got me a quote based on a pic i sent him and beated any quoted from the first time. Once i took my car to the shop to get it fix, i found out he has some Evos and Subarus, im a Evo X owner myself, i realized he was the guy i was looking for. So after he fixed my Nissan i decided to bring my Evo x front lip to color match it Apex Silver and he did an amazing job. there are two parts to this review. the first part is the work performed and the second part is the experience. 1. the work performed was great. Lloyd was really nice and genuinely appeared to want to help. i got my civic back within 1 week and it was good as new. 2. the overall experience with customer service and payment was awful. there was a lot of "we'll call you back later today with the updates" and never got a call back. i had to call them for everything. I was also charged an extra $216 on "accident" according to the owner and I am struggling to get a refund. clearly he is hoping i would forget and move on. If i were you, i'd spend the extra money and avoid the headache. Although i got off easy, the negative reviews you see on here do not surprise me one bit. Also, i notice that MOST of the 5 star positive reviews on facebook come from people that the owner is "friends" with. read more

I want to take my time to write this review on this shop. Mike has been accountable and communicative to me from the very start. I sent him pictures of what my car looked like and gave me an estimate through Yelp message. A few days later, I went to drive to their shop and I met with Mike's partner, Lloyd. Lloyd was honest with his estimate and the things he can do for my car-- how long it will take, the price and the process. From the day I signed the invoice and left my car in their shop, I have been texting Mike (who at this point is the main person to contact) to ask questions about what their team has accomplished so far. It takes hours for Mike to respond (I'm assuming he's working on my car too :)) but he does give you updates which makes me feel reassured. FYI, I read the bad reviews on this shop before I decided to choose them. I have also consulted 4 other shops around the area, and all of their estimates say that 5 years worth of damage on my car will cost me about 4k or more. No matter how much I loved my Honda, at that point I was honestly considering to get a brand new car instead of getting it fixed. Driving my beat up car doesn't make me feel excited to take it to work or anywhere. I felt like i was driving an ugly one. However, Mike and Lloyd gave it to me for WAY LESS than half the price, which makes me feel I chose the right place. All I can say is communicate to these guys, ask questions, gauge your expectations and check in with them. I texted Mike for updates almost everyday and he had stayed accountable. It's my car after all and I'm paying for their service. I'm pretty sure that if they can't do something about your car, or if it will take a few more days to finish their job, they will tell you. The good thing is they will give you a refund. They've been honest with me through and through. At no point did I feel like I was being fooled or ripped off. I knew what I wanted done, and with the price they gave me, I was ready for a reasonable bargain. When I picked up my car, I was so impressed! Their team more than met my expectations. All the scratches are gone, the dents are unnoticeable, my mirrors were fixed, and it was overall aesthetically what I envisioned my car to be. Lloyd explained how each damage can be prevented so that I won't have the same issues again. They worked on my car non-stop everyday and I feel like I should've paid more because that's how satisfied I am. It was worth waiting for almost 2 weeks to make my car look brand new again. With that said, nothing beats an honest and solid service, a cheaper than usual price, a one year warranty, and overall satisfaction. I will drive this Honda again for the next 5 or more years. I am one very happy woman! I appreciate all the hard work, Mike and Lloyd and your whole team! I am very happy with the outcome, thank you for all your hard work and your passion for what you do. I took my Miata to Mike cause it needed a lot of body work. I was adamant that the metal be pulled out and that I see the car before cover up the body work with primer or anything. He put up with my fussiness, did excellent work on the body, fixed things I didn't see as a problem, and made the car stand out. People always know it's my car, even though I no longer own it! The only caveat, and he'll tell you he does this... They don't remove things to avoid over spray, but tape it. It's less expensive but can be seen in certain spots when the tape is removed, especially on a color change like mine. read more

Updating on this shop after picking up my car. After picking up my car from Idesigns and i was happy with the q2ork they did i decided to bring them another car. I brought in a car with bit more damage. Damage was whole passenger side. I was promised the car would be done in a week but I ended up picking up the car a week and a half later. Reason for delay was the insurrance took awhile to send the check to me. The extra time that the car was at the shop mike and his crew again exceeded my expectations. Not only did they repair the damage but when i picked up the car they buffed out the whole car and cleaned up the inside. Thanks again to Idesign and the crew for taking care of me. Took my car in for a new paint since my old one was peeling. However, after many weeks of waiting, they finally released the car back to me with very poor paint quality. The owner refused to correct the orange paint, and refunded me only 10% back. Never going back again. Now from my point of view things went okay the first few times I took my car here. They paint it, put a kit on it, but when it can to suspension they dropped the ball but I forgive them. But my front end was damage Mike promised me a good deal on what I wanted done. I dropped my car off in February and for the next 8 months I was bs'd around by Mike the owner. Yet thru tho is whole time kept asking for money and was making it seem they were a lot further along. In which when I got tired of waiting they would make it seem like they almost were finish so I would leave it. So over that time I gave they 2400. Which was nothing because my car came back with worth damage than it started with. So when I got a quote from another shop it was 3500 to fix. Not only that but they lost parts to my car that as not easily replaced. Some how even lost my battery. This place is no where near me but i was recommended by a good friend who does a lot of custom modifications to his car and said this is his "go to" shop for paint and body work. My first experience was just a basic fender bender repair which i had to pay out of pocket. Their pricing was reasonable and i was on a time crunch and the shop was pretty busy too but they were able to schedule me in on a last minutes notice and get the work started. I have to be honest, there were some issues due to miss-communication but the owner apologized and offered to finish the job to my specifications which i felt was great customer service. He seems to really care for quality control and making his customers happy. I have some more work lined up for him and I'm excited to see some more results. I am lucky enough to have a friend recommend me to this shop. Never heard of them but decided I'd check it out and see if they would help with my 2014 Audi. recommended by a co-worker. 2005 Toyota camry . NY killed my girls chrome rims and rear bumper. Mike was very easy to deal with . I actually drove from san pedro to get the work done. He had the rims dipped in acid to remove the old pitted chrome then painted the rims silver .. the rear bumper literally looks brand new and the color match is dead on.
