First meal in st Louis and it was a recommendation from a friend. The inside was beautiful with sculptures, artwork, furniture, billiards and allot of other interesting decor. We were a large group and the service was attentive. Great recommendations were given and we all enjoyed our meals. Would come back, if ever in town.

Came for a Happy Hour drink and nosh. The roasted sprouts were just enough and delicious. Self service at the bar for food and drinks. Good and drinks brought out so quickly on the lounge room which was comfortable and great for a casual get together. The basque cheesecake is not to be missed for a little dessert!

Idol Wolf is my favorite place for Spanish food in St. Louis. Good variety of traditional tapas and delicious plates. I love their croquetas de jamón and pan con tomate. I loved the decoration and overall vibe of the place. Service was great.

First time in St. Louis in 20 years & needed a late evening dinner. Idol Wolf knocked it out of the park with its Spanish style tapas. The croquettas were amazing & the Spanish Caesar salad was phenomenal. I loved the two craft cocktails I had as well. The service was attentive and friendly. The vibes were laid back and there's lots to look at art wise. Amazing horseshoe bar. Will be back on my next trip to STL!

I would give this place a million stars if I could. I started a monthly supper club with some of my friends, and Saturday was the first iteration, which we did at Idol Wolf. Note that they have a max of 8 people per reservation without doing special menu/private room. Idol wolf is located in the 21c hotel and museum. It is stunningly beautiful, and definitely a great place for girls night with tons of photo ops. Despite it being a busy Saturday, we were able to find nearby parking pretty easily, The service was excellent, and food came out fast despite the dining room being mostly full. They have a unique cocktail program--I sampled most of my friend's drinks (my favorite was the Strawberry Balsamic gin tonic). However, I ordered the shakeajillio, which was pretty basic espresso martini, not my favorite I've ever had, but just so-so. Every single person in my party was absolutely blown away with the food. We tried several of the tapas and shared as a table, my absolute favorites are as follows (in order): 1. Agnolotti - this one surprised me, but the pasta may have been the best I've ever had. It was the perfect thickness and had just enough bite, filled perfectly full of creamy goat cheese, and swimming in a perfectly balanced sauce. 2. Brussel Sprouts - hands down the best I've had. Crisped perfectly, with a tart and acidic glaze, loaded with toppings. I could NOT stop eating them, long after I was full. 3. Tuna on Toast - this was a popular one for the whole table--very unexpected but so, so good. The charred bread with a super soft interior that it came on was fabulous as well. This is also the only tapa I got a picture of. We also got the patatas bravas, Spanish Caesar, beef carpaccio, gambas Al ajillo, and chorizo white wine mussels--all also great, except for the carpaccio which was a little salty for my taste. It's worth noting that the portions are larger than I expected, WELL worth the price! One friend opted for a full size entree, and she went for the strip steak which she absolutely loved. If you haven't been, you simply MUST GO. Idol Wolf is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city after just one visit. You've got a fan for life!

Had a great date night at Idol Wolf! It's located in a hotel lobby and conveniently its entrance is easily seen in the lobby. The interior is dimly lit and well decorated, making for some great photos while you wait for food and drinks! My partner and I got a large variety of of dishes to try out. Couple of highlights include the agnolotti pasta, the beef carpaccio, the croquettas, and my lemon drop! The agnolotti was a great mix of creamy, sweet and savory. The Jamon croquettas were like an elevated mozzarella stick, could not go wrong with those. The Spanish style lemon drop has to be one of my fave drinks on this Earth. It takes your classic tart lemon drop with a kick of hot honey that just adds OOMPH to the drink. While we did not get a dessert, our amazing server treated us to cotton candy to finish of the meal. He was a great help picking out the dishes and was very prompt to fill our water and take away dirty plates.

This meal was amazing! Their Cesar salad was the best I've probably ever had! the steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Everything was delicious and the vibes were just right. So so good!

This is such a unique hotel and restaurant! Food was great, service was excellent, drinks were delicious! If you haven't seen the beautiful decor of this place, do yourself a favor and book a resy. Bonus: there is a a free art exhibit on the second level that is definitely worth visiting!

Beautiful Saturday afternoon and a beautifully curated restaurant. Located inside 21c Hotel, this spaces sits off to the left of the lobby and has a very open concept. The design has an artful feel which fits with the theme of the museum. A tad too chilly for the patio, I was seated at a table to the left of the bar that offered a comfortable bench side and a chair side. The bar has a few small tvs above, not enough to be overly distracting, but enough that it serves as focal if dining alone. This day was K.Derby day, so it was great to be able to see the race. 1st visit, I opted for a few tapas and salad. Spanish Caesar, no olives, jamon croquettes, patatas bravas. Funny enough, the salad came out last and took some time to do so. I had to ask for a check in on it. Croquettes came first, these were crispy on the outside and creamy cheesy inside. Not much ham, but very tasty and enjoyable. Patatas were an ample size, definitely enough for 2 to enjoy. Flavors worked well and I personally thought they would be more perfect if the potatoes had a little more crispy on the outside for some texture to the dish. Caesar was fresh and delicious, a huge bowl this is perfect as a light meal. I enjoyed how the salad was served in a layered way and the croutons were crushed which offered great texture throughout. Overall, a delicious experience.

If the cotton candy doesn't hook you... the rest of this meal will! Idol Wolf's menu mirrors the art museum above it--every dish feels like its own exhibition! We kicked things off with tapas (the Gambas al Ajillo and Jamón Croquettas... unreal) before diving into the raciones: carved strip steak and roasted salmon--each one a masterpiece of flavor. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better... out came the complimentary cotton candy--the sweetest surprise ending to cap off an unforgettable evening.

Idol Wolf's Happy Hour is a Day Drinkers dream. The Happy Hour is daily, that means 7 days a week and is only 3-5 PM. Which is plenty of time to enjoy yourself in a art deco bar. I'm a vodka man, so $5 vodka cocktails are right up my alley. Then to cut the booze, they offer a $10 Cheeseburger that is served with fries. The Smoked Cheddar, Lager Braised Red Onion and Tomato Jam, makes the burger a steal at $10. It is worth so much more. The bartender was a master of this craft. He made one variation of a Dirty Martini, that thrilled me and my friend. Bonuses that I like, they've got outlets and hooks under the bar. Makes it easy for charging and hanging a messenger bag or backpack. If you are a day drinker, you gotta check Idol Wolf out. The crowd is super friendly and like most hotel bars, everyone talks to everyone.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The dinner went well but one thing we noticed is that it seemed that a server was delivering dishes to the wrong table. What concerned us is that it appeared that our dish went to the table beside us was picked up and delivered to us. What really gave us the ick though was when we received the shrimp with two shrimp tails and meat in the tails (see photo). We reported it talked to the manager and were told this happens, but why would there be meat in the tail? We had that dish and one other taken from our bill but I wouldn't recommend ANYONE eat there. There are better places and that is gross. Gross.

Absolutely loved our experience at Idol Wolf. The restaurant is stunning, and the ambiance throughout the beautiful 21c Hotel makes the whole experience feel special. Every dish was excellent, but the duck was easily my favorite of the night. Potatoes and duck were in such an amazing sauce. Will dream about that cheesecake. Great cocktails, attentive service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Highly recommend!

    Are there good vegetarian options?

    Yes, especially with the appetizer

    What is the dress code?

I don't think there's a dress code. This is a restaurant based in a hotel, so there is flexibility. I suggest looking at interior shots to get a glimpse as to how customers dress.

    Is this place kid friendly?

The menu isn't great for kids but they are welcoming to them. My six year old went and we just brought a pb&j for him. They were just fine with it.

On a street filled with restaurants you might think you're in the middle of the dining district. Then you turn off that main strip and you're walking into what feels like an industrial corridor, suspiciously empty. If you didn't know better, you might assume you were about to stumble into a secret society event. Once inside the transformation is immediate. A bar that feels both intimate and inviting. The space somehow blends old-world Italy with hints of Eastern European charm -- romantic without being pretentious. I began with Pierogies -- delicate and comforting -- followed by a deeply rich French Onion Gratinee that set the tone for what was to come. The Braised Short Rib Poutine was indulgent in the best possible way, layers of flavor stacked on pure comfort. The highlight of the evening was the Senku Australian Wagyu Flank Steak, perfectly prepared and worthy of being the centerpiece of the night. My companion for the evening dined on the Oysters, Arugula Salad, Tuna Carpaccio, as well as the Senku Australian Wagyu Flank Steak. And then dessert: a dark chocolate torte finished with gold leaf -- dramatic, decadent, and exactly the right ending. One of the unexpected pleasures of the evening was the open view into the kitchen. Watching the chefs work is like watching choreography -- precise, efficient, artistic. I'm sure they don't always enjoy being observed but it's impossible not to admire the craft. Somewhere during the evening it occurred to me that "Blood and Sand" was ironic and fitting for the circumstances of my visit. History tends to use it when passion becomes spectacle and not everyone is playing the part they auditioned for. Blood and Sand is the kind of place that doesn't announce itself loudly, it hides in plain sight waiting to be discovered.

Unfortunately despite the establishment having a tasting menu and using culinary language, the food was a hodgepodge of elements that worked and elements that did not. None of our dishes earned 5/5 and none were memorable taste wise. With a hefty price tag to boot there are better places to go in St. Louis. We had two drinks, one was watery and one was delicious (pictured).

One of the biggest perks of Hidden Gems is their back room, which allows them to host events and fun pop-up experiences. I've been to a few, and most recently attended the "Taylor Swift: Bejeweled" experience. The space was decked out in all things Taylor, with every era clearly represented. Giant friendship bracelets hung from the ceilings and lined the walls, which was such a fun touch. And of course, there were plenty of photo ops with my close personal bff, Taylor herself! The drink menu was themed to match the eras, with tons of creative options. My friends and I tried several cocktails, along with a few NA options as well. I really appreciate that they offer non-alcoholic drinks as I've been cutting back on alcohol over the past few months, and it's nice to still have fun choices that actually taste good! The Mirrorball was easily my favorite drink of the night. It tasted just like an orange creamsicle and was served in a disco ball...so good and so fun. My last drink of the night was "So Long London," which was almost like a dessert in a glass. Highly recommend ending your night with that one!

We arrived a little after 11 and found a space in the back parking lot. The lot is convenient as it's pretty well-lit and is diagonal from the CF. Upon first glance, you'll notice the hanging lights above the entrance and then after a few feet, the bar is immediately to the right. The tables are all along the left side as to make a walkway for the bar (super convenient). Due it being their anniversary, it was a bit crowded but not too bad where you couldn't get a drink or walk through. My usual go-to is a flavored vodka (three olives grape) and sprite. While they had a plethora of spirits, sadly this wasn't one of them. They had other flavored vodkas but I opted to get a simple Cosmo while my friend got a makers and coke. The Cosmo was just what I needed and might I add, well made! After we got our drinks, we did a quick walk through of the other side called The Oddities (coming soon), as well as the upstairs that overlooks the entire place.
