Second time we ordered the steamed seafood basked in spicy soy. Shared a seafood noodle dish. It was a huge portion. It gets so busy there that they are well organized, gets you in and out. After entering the restaurant, the right side of you is more like a booth type of seating. How much I adore their decor. First impressions when you walk into an establishment says a lot about the owners. As customers it feels inviting and cozy.

A water carafe was brought out right after for us. The restaurant is pretty big, airy and clean. There were tables and booths to be seated at and the tables can easily be arranged to accomodate a large group. We ordered the following for 3 people: 1. Seafood pancake: Different batter than other Korean restaurant. Nice crisp and lots of seafood. Accompanied by a soy sauce but I did not dip it as I like to taste the seafood and not overwhelm my taste buds with sauces on the pancakes. 2. Mul naengmyeon (cold noodles): my first try at this and I enjoyed it. Different from what I am used for noodle soup to but its's very good. Savory but light. Lots of noodles were given and not enough protein. I like the slushy icy broth texture. I think it may be the broth itself frozen as by the time we finish eating, it still maintained a savory broth and not water down. Three people shared this and we couldn't finish the noodles itself. 3. Soy sauce marinade crab: This was a pricy dish for 1 crab accompanied by a fancy dish of rice with some fresh and dried seaweed, tobiko and thinly sliced pickled radish. Well prepared as I did not taste or smell the ocean. Flavorful and good though I prefer eating the spicy marinade crab better as I love spices. We did not try the spicy crab here as a friend do not eat spicy. The dishes were all big. We finished the marinade crab but still had some cold noodles and pancake left to go. Services was average as we had ordered a coke and it came out when we asked for it after the food had all come out. Our water carafe was out and we didn't get a refill since we were finish with our food. When we asked for a spicy sauce to add into the cold noodles it was brought out promptly. You'll have to either eat lightly through the day or skip lunch before coming here for dinner as I think the portions are pretty large. Also, be prepare to pay a high bill as for 3 people including a bottle of soju, 1 soda and 15% tip our bill was a a couple dollars shy of $150.

This has to be the most overdue review I've ever written. Cap't Loui not only is the best seafood…read moreboil restaurant around but also one of the best restaurants PERIOD. 5 star restaurant that includes 5 star food (shrimp, crawdads, garlic noodles, garlic bread, Cajun fries), 5 star cleanliness, and the most outstanding 5 star service you will ever receive. My wife and I consistently come to Cap't Loui for our beloved Friday date nights at least once a month. We are ALWAYS so impressed with the yummy food (we always get 2lbs shrimp/2lbs crawfish combo in Medium Cap't Loui sauce with garlic noodles, garlic bread, and Cajun fries). Wifey and I are stuffed after this but will cleanse our palate with complimentary popsicles in the freezer by the entrance. So yes, the seafood boil and food is absolutely phenomenal. But even MORE impressive is the generationally excellent customer service, in particular from Aung and Edward. They are true servant leaders and I noticed they take care of each and every patron as if they were family members or royalty. Between the delicious food and the brilliant customer service, you better bet your bottom dollar that my wife and I will continue having our traditional Friday night dates at Cap't Loui!!!!

I've been walking pass their shop many times in Cupertino, a small shop on a clean street next to an underground parking lot. First off, our lunch hour was at 11:45, but by 10:45'sh, food was ready and the catering staff was already working on setting it up. I had fresh salad of tomato and cucumber, seafood boiler with shrimp, and garlic noodle. We ran out of Clam Chowder real quick, so I didn't get to it. The salad was fresh, both tomato and cucumber slices gave this crispy and refreshing taste. Our menu has Seafood Boiler with Shrimp and Veggie Boiler Mix with Fried Tofu, they look like the same sauce, so I chose Shrimp and it was a very wise choice! The sauce was so rich that the shrimps were full of flavors! I am never a fan of peeling shrimps but they are easy to peel, even with my mouth biting them off gently is not that hard. Their garlic noodle is not the same as the Vietnamese kind, it's pasta in garlic sauce, so not the best but acceptable. Overall the shrimps really wow me.

We checked in at the front desk and were escorted to our table. Our server Manny took excellent care of us from beginning to end. He gave us excellent recommendations on things to try, which we really appreciated. We started off the evening with some cocktails. My husband tried the Kickin' Old Fashioned and I tried the Margarita Italiano, that was recommended by Manny. My husband enjoyed his drink and I loved the Margarita Italiano. It was so good! For our appetizer, Manny recommended his personal favorite, which was the Burrata Con Prosciutto. We decided to try it and I'm so glad we did. It was so delicious. He poured a bit of balsamic vinegar on top of the Burrata, and it really made the dish superb. The Prosciutto melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the Burrata, balsamic vinegar and arugula. We will definitely get that again in the future. For our main dishes, Manny recommended the Linguine Mare Chiaro. I decided to try that and my husband ordered the Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, from their house specials menu. Our dishes arrived fresh and hot. My Linguine Mare Chiaro had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a roasted cherry tomato and white wine sauce. It was delicious. The linguine was cooked perfectly and seafood portions were generous. My husband's dish, Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, was a pan seared halibut fillet with a lemon caper sauce served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our main dishes. My husband was happily surprised he got two pieces of halibut. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Manny took excellent care of us and gave us the best recommendations. We had a wonderful experience dining here and look forward to many more in the future. I hope we are lucky enough to have Manny again, as our server. A big thank you to Manny for making our night special.

When I called to ask if there were any reservations available for tonight, her immediate response was, "Absolutely not." Before I had the opportunity to ask any follow-up questions or explain my situation, the conversation felt abruptly shut down. Moments later, she added that she could possibly fit us in at 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of our party. I told her that I found her initial response unprofessional because she didn't take the time to explain the situation from the start. A more courteous response would have been to let me know that reservations were full but that there might be a possibility of accommodating us later in the evening. She apologized and said she would respond differently next time, which I appreciated. However, as a manager, first impressions and customer service matter. The way customers are spoken to--especially over the phone when they're simply trying to make a reservation--sets the tone for the entire dining experience. I hope this feedback helps improve how future guests are greeted and assisted.
