I thought the tacos were okay. I got asada, pastor, and lengua. $4.25 each and lengua was $6 I think. The meat was rather dry to me. Orange sauce and tomato salsa were okay too. I find myself craving Speedy's often, I usually eat here 1-2 times a month. The quality of their burritos can be inconsistent. Most of the time, it tastes like the best burrito in South Bay. Other times, my burrito is oily and bland. Tacos are consistently good. The salsa that comes with the chips has a kick, I enjoy it a lot. Horchata is one of the best I've had. Even though the food can be hit or miss, the staff is always super friendly, food comes out fast, and I love eating on the outdoor patio. My sister recommended we try out this place so we put in an order for takeout! Staff and vibe of the space is very warm and friendly. My sister tried the al pastor soft tacos and carne asada soft tacos and really enjoyed them. I tried the fish soft tacos and shrimp soft tacos. The tacos are kind of bigger than we anticipated, which was a very pleasant finding, and we were full after having 2~~ The fish taco was good! The fish is well seasoned and moist! I had high hopes for the shrimp tacos but they were not as moist as I was hoping for so I was a bit bummed. I'd give them another chance though. I tried my mom's shrimp burrito (no beans) and thought it was also quite good! Very tasty, well-seasoned, and moist. Also, if you are a super spice lover, I'd give their orange sauce a try! Speedys tacos is a nice mexican joint in Sunnyvale that I have been wanting to try for a while! We finally had the chance to pick up some food from here today and glad we did. Really quick (as the name suggests) and pretty good Mexican fare! I've been here a couple times and have gotten a variety of different foods. I recently got the Enfrijoladas and it came with a huge salad on top which was nice! I've gotten the veggie burrito in the past and that was also pretty good. They also have a very spicy salsa. Came here while in the area for lunch. We were starving from running around all day and skipping breakfast. Good ole Yelp did its thing again and we found this place nearby. We said why not, cant really do bad with mexican food. This place blew our tastebuds away lol. They also live up to the name. We ordered and i took a trip to the bathroom tonwash my hands and when I returned to the table our food was ready. I ordered the carne asada nachos and hubby got the asada burrito. It was very good. Not sure what made it stand out but all of the ingridents were very well seasoned and the meat had a nice char on it. The food serving sizes where decent, i shared the nachos and was full but if i didnt I would have tried the tacos too hahahha. I ordered the CARNE ASADA taco, the meat tasted pretty good like it had been marinated or seasoned better than other places I have been. it was slightly dry adding their sauce helps with this. ORANGE SAUCE was on the spicy side, so if you're into spice you are in for a treat. FISH TACO was crumbly and very moist, perhaps it is an item that should be eaten first or right away, my entire taco fell apart from the moisture. The fish was not greasy, but dry and very crumbly. Had to use utensils to eat it. SALSA was flavorful, on the mild side so if you cant take the heat this may be for you. BEANS AND RICE was cooked perfectly, would like a bit more flavor, however adding some SALSA to it makes it much better in flavor. SERVICE was okay very quick to acknowledge me, help me with my menu choices. There wasn't much staff when I went so the cashier did help out other customers bringing food outside for some customers, and seem very friendly with perhaps regular customers. INTERIOR was okay clean. There didn't seem to be any sauce or condiments readily available at the tables, however it appeared they were available behind the counter if you ask or need them. MUSIC was playing and so was a muted tv with sports playing. The customers inside and outside seemed happy with their food. While I was WAITING i noticed on the ORDERS there seemed to be many people getting burritos. I was impartial on the time it took for my order to come out after I ordered, as there did seem to be a handful of orders ahead of me. What a gem of a spot we came across! My husband and I were looking for a quick dinner. Mexican food is something we can both agree on and we were happy to find Speedy's Tacos while in Sunnyvale. We were greeted by friendly staff who made some great recommendations to our order. There were some cute handwritten signs with their specials at the front. Another sign that caught my eye was one that stated that they were not a fast food restaurant, but a restaurant that served great food fast. We ordered an Al pastor taco, a carne asada taco, chicken enchiladas with chipotle sauce (recommended by staff) and chips and salsa. Everything was great! I'm glad I went with the chipotle sauce for the enchiladas (which came out piping hot!). My husband got the steak burrito which was also really good. The meat was seasoned nicely and was packed with rice and beans and salsa. The weather was mild for an evening in July, so we opted to dine on the patio. Finally got the time to sit down and review this place. Speedy's is definitely one of those hidden gems in Sunnyvale - understated, a favorite for locals, with friendly service, comfortable seating, and most importantly, delicious food. My wife and I keep exploring new places, and we tried this one for lunch based on all the good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. We had a bunch of different tacos - Fish, Al Pastor, and Chorizo (not on the menu but also available), and a Chorizo Torta. The tacos were delicious - just the right amount of meat and toppings and some good salsas to go with it. The Torta was good, but the bread itself was not that good - too sweet for my taste. I wish they used something more rustic and less commercialized. That said, overall the meal was very enjoyable. I am sure we'll be back. Definitely recommend! read more

My go-to is the chicken burrito for delivery and the chicken chimichanga for in-person. Took a leap on another recommendation... and it turned out to be a winner! I pulled up, parked, and looked at this old school building that totally gives off vibes that this meal will either: 1. send you running to the bathroom or 2. be absolutely amazing. Thankfully, it was the latter! LOL Speedy's is a hidden gem in Sunnyvale - low-key, friendly service, comfy seating, and delicious food. The meal is way better than your typical street taco and is perfect for a quick Mexican fix. The Modelo bottles were cold and refreshing, the tortilla chips and guacamole were fresh, and then the main dishes arrived... My friends got 2 carne asada tacos. So good. No need to say more. We also ordered an al pastor taco that was pretty fantastic too. You can really taste the fresh meat and sweet pineapple in every bite. Highly recommend! The family also ordered the chimichanga special that was advertised on the blackboard. I didn't get to try it, but it looked hefty, and he didn't complain at all--cleaned his plate completely. No leftovers for us. It must have been really good. As for me? I went with the chorizo burrito because the steak felt like the "safe choice." I like to take calculated risks and live a little dangerously because... if I was gonna "get the runs"... why not go all in and make sure you "get the runs!" LOL The presentation of the burrito was a bit lackluster, but after a couple of bites and a few more with that amazing hot sauce they give you... wow... this was a risk worth taking that made me want to order even more! All jokes aside, the service, food, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. What more can I say?
