I find myself craving Speedy's often, I usually eat here 1-2 times a month. The quality of their burritos can be inconsistent. Most of the time, it tastes like the best burrito in South Bay. Other times, my burrito is oily and bland. Tacos are consistently good. The salsa that comes with the chips has a kick, I enjoy it a lot. Horchata is one of the best I've had. Even though the food can be hit or miss, the staff is always super friendly, food comes out fast, and I love eating on the outdoor patio. They currently have decorations for the World Cup, it is a really good spot to watch some matches.

My sister recommended we try out this place so we put in an order for takeout! Staff and vibe of the space is very warm and friendly. My sister tried the al pastor soft tacos and carne asada soft tacos and really enjoyed them. I tried the fish soft tacos and shrimp soft tacos. The tacos are kind of bigger than we anticipated, which was a very pleasant finding, and we were full after having 2~~ The fish taco was good! The fish is well seasoned and moist! I had high hopes for the shrimp tacos but they were not as moist as I was hoping for so I was a bit bummed. I'd give them another chance though. I tried my mom's shrimp burrito (no beans) and thought it was also quite good! Very tasty, well-seasoned, and moist. Also, if you are a super spice lover, I'd give their orange sauce a try! (and if you can't handle spice, I would stay away lol). As a spice lover, I thought I'd enjoy it but it is quite spicy! xD Really glad we got to try this place out, and we'll probably be back!

Speedys tacos is a nice mexican joint in Sunnyvale that I have been wanting to try for a while! We finally had the chance to pick up some food from here today and glad we did. The service was fast as the food was ready on time after we placed an online order. The ambiance here was nice also, and nice to note that they had some nice outdoor seating. For food we tried: * Al pastor burrito - this was pretty big and filled with all the goods which i liked. The meat was marinated well and I liked how all the ingredients came together well * Chicken burrito - hubby had this burrito and said this one was not as good as the al pastor which he had a few bites of mine * carne asada taco - this was filled with lots of meet and was well flavored. Meat was fairly juicy as well Overall we had a good time trying this spot out!

Ambiance: the restaurant located in a quiet neighborhood and its very green and peaceful during lunch time. Service: very welcoming and helpful when we're ordering. The dishes are ready very fast as well! Food: the burrito is a must order! It's very juicy and balanced with contents. As for the tacos, I tried 3 different flavors, and I'd recommend carne asada or shrimp cuz the fish is on the drier side. It's quite pricy for tacos but it's in Sunnyvale so...‍

Pretty decent taco spot! We've been here a few times and it's been consistently good. The beef tacos are delicious and my go to We have gotten their chips and salsa (you have to order it separately) and the salsa is decent; I like the green tangy salsa. One downside is that the shrimp isn't deveined, which was a bit of a miss so I have avoided shrimp but if they cleaned it I would get it Plenty of parking in the parking lot near by and plenty of outdoor seating too Good customer service, you have to bus your own table fyi, though sometimes they bus it for you Overall, it's a a decent spot when you are wanting tacos

Came here while in the area for lunch. We were starving from running around all day and skipping breakfast. Good ole Yelp did its thing again and we found this place nearby. We said why not, cant really do bad with mexican food. This place blew our tastebuds away lol. They also live up to the name. We ordered and i took a trip to the bathroom tonwash my hands and when I returned to the table our food was ready. I ordered the carne asada nachos and hubby got the asada burrito. It was very good. Not sure what made it stand out but all of the ingridents were very well seasoned and the meat had a nice char on it. The food serving sizes where decent, i shared the nachos and was full but if i didnt I would have tried the tacos too hahahha. Hubby did say he wish the burrito was a bit bigger but he also gets his with no beans and that could be filling. Dont sleep on this place, cant wait to come back!

I got three tacos, 2 asada & 1 al pastor. Super delicious, quality meat & tortillas. Highly recommend! Their orange salsa is so spicy! I eat super spicy homemade chili oil regularly so I'm used to spicy, and this is definitely spicy. Service was great too, the cashier was super nice!

What a gem of a spot we came across! My husband and I were looking for a quick dinner. Mexican food is something we can both agree on and we were happy to find Speedy's Tacos while in Sunnyvale. We were greeted by friendly staff who made some great recommendations to our order. There were some cute handwritten signs with their specials at the front. Another sign that caught my eye was one that stated that they were not a fast food restaurant, but a restaurant that served great food fast. We ordered an Al pastor taco, a carne asada taco, chicken enchiladas with chipotle sauce (recommended by staff) and chips and salsa. Everything was great! I'm glad I went with the chipotle sauce for the enchiladas (which came out piping hot!). My husband got the steak burrito which was also really good. The meat was seasoned nicely and was packed with rice and beans and salsa. The weather was mild for an evening in July, so we opted to dine on the patio. The staff came to check on us multiple times and cleared our plates when finished. So happy to have tried Speedy's Tacos and will definitely be back!

Finally got the time to sit down and review this place. Speedy's is definitely one of those hidden gems in Sunnyvale - understated, a favorite for locals, with friendly service, comfortable seating, and most importantly, delicious food. My wife and I keep exploring new places, and we tried this one for lunch based on all the good reviews, and we weren't disappointed. We had a bunch of different tacos - Fish, Al Pastor, and Chorizo (not on the menu but also available), and a Chorizo Torta. The tacos were delicious - just the right amount of meat and toppings and some good salsas to go with it. The Torta was good, but the bread itself was not that good - too sweet for my taste. I wish they used something more rustic and less commercialized. That said, overall the meal was very enjoyable. I am sure we'll be back. Definitely recommend!

TACOS!! A very simple dish but hard to nail it right! Our family loves Tacos, we found this place on yelp as we needed a quick bite. We drove to Speedy's and sat outdoors. We ordered fish, pulled pork, al Pastor and shrimp tacos. The server was very nice and welcoming and was taking orders and serving food! It was a quick service. We all felt Tacos were good as compared to what we had so far in Bay Area but we have had better tasting ones like beach house Ventura! We will go again for sure to try new things!

We always have good experience with this place. Staff is friendly, food is good and they have a decent outdoor dining area. After your order at the counter, the food comes out fairly fast. They have many choices for their soft taco (beef, 2 kinds of pork, chicken, shrimp, beef tongue, fish). All is good except chicken is a bit dry though. Their beef burrito is very good too. Whenever I feel like taco, we'd like to come and support local business.

The food here is really great coming from Southern California having authentic Mexican food. This place is really really great. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're in San Jose area visiting from Southern California moist chicken in the burrito great portion sizes. Also, the service is fantastic.

    Is this halal?

No not halal I'm sorry but there's a halal restaurant in the same plaza.

Do chips and salsa come with the entrees, or do you have to order them separately?

Chips and salsa are 2 dollars extra but if you order a beer or sangria they are free. If you order a small or large guac that will also come with chips and salsa.

    Is there outdoor seating?

Yes! There are a few tables outside with sun umbrellas.

Is ensalada on the menu? How about fish taco?

They do have yummy fish tacos!

Hi! Are you guys doing catering during covid19? Wondering if I can arrange catering for a birthday party.

Sorry I'm just seeing this but yes it would have been possible we still do caters 👍🏼

What is the spicy chili oil called that you leave on the tables!?

Chile de aceite or chili oil 😅 does contain peanut

    Whats inside speedy taco's chimichanga?

It's basically a deep fried burrito w/ meat of your choice.

Do you/they offer flour flautas or Gringa/gringo flautas? Many restaurants say they offer "flautas" but they actually use corn tortilla, which are taquitos

    We use corn tortillas :)

The food came in on time so we really appreciated that. I tried the Cochinita Pibil which came with rice and plantains. I liked that the meat was soft and full of flavor as well as the rice. The salty and sweet from the plantains went well together. The other item i tried was the Pollo cochinita pibil bao bun. This was also very yummy and full of flavor. I definitely enjoyed that the bao was so soft. Overall, it was a solid experience and would want to go back to try more!
