Went there for dinner. The air conditioning was so cold so we asked them to raise the temperature. The server said that the manager agreed to do so but it was still uncomfortably cold. The service was acceptable and arrived in a reasonable time but we were so cold that it couldn't have come fast enough! We didn't order very much but our bill was too high for what we got. Two orders of crepes, two orders of pancakes and one order of Mac & Cheese. two coffees two hot chocolates and one soda. Our bill with an 18 % tip was $86.37. The server was good but there wasn't much food for what it cost. One crepe dish had hardly any filling for almost $14.00. We were only one of for tables that were occupied. Late brunch. Friendly staff. I was debating whether steak or chicken omelet our server helped me make my decision a little easier. I Ordered a chicken fajitas omelet and the little one ordered a chocolate chip pancake. Surprisingly my chicken tasted good it was grilled I was afraid it was going to be steamed chicken in the omelet but it had a perfect grilled taste. The good thing about IHOP is no matter where you are, you know what you're going to get. While we were vacationing in OC, all the kids and grand kids woke up hungry and no one felt like cooking anything so- IHOP it was! We placed a large order (10 entrees all told) from the house and then went to go pick it up. Good thing we ordered before we left as we ran into a bit of a jam crossing the bridge. This visit was noteworthy in that an irate customer and her friends seemed to want to fight one of the young waitresses- you'd think, when you reach a certain age that maybe a certain amount of decorum, if not inherent maybe learned, would be present but this was not the case. The customer seemed adamant about doing something, and that the manager was not meeting her demands. Well, our food arrived as the drama seemed to be winding down and while that customer probably did not enjoy their experience, we did. The customer service is awful , me and my family were enjoying a nice time and decided to stop by ihop. It took us 45 mins to get seated then we waiting another 45 mins to get drinks and also another 30 mins for food. When the food got here it was nasty and cold. Nothing was ever right with our orders. The drinks were flat , the milkshake wasn't a milkshake it was warm milk with whipped cream. French toast was just a thick piece of PLAIN bread. We just ate here and it was pleasantly surprising how normal things seem as compared to my local ihop. We received glass cups, cutlery, salt and pepper shakers, hot sauce and even A1 steak sauce. The atmosphere was lively. People were having a good time. The server was great. For the time we spent there it seemed Covid was a thing of the past. Very pleased. The food is always good. Keeping in mind that this review is in comparison to other IHOP's I've been to. This one is not good at all. I started with 1 star but decided on 2 only because the service was good. The employees were all very nice and provided good service. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was WAY under par. We were some of the first customers after open and it looked like they never cleaned from the day before... Still had food crumbs on the floor, flies EVERYWHERE!, the bathroom smelled like an outhouse, the tables and seats were sticky, you could see the grime on top of almost any flat surface (window sills, seats, etc), and you could just smell that dirty stale restaurant smell. If I were the manager here, the employees would NOT have gone home last night leaving the place looking like this! The food was just okay. Meets the diner standard but not from what I would expect from IHOP. Eggs on the greasy side; hashbrowns and bacon underdone. Pancakes were good. Our trip to OC was fantastic, up until our departure date. We decided to stop at IHOP in Berlin on our way home. This IHOP has been our worst experience ever! We watched a family of 5 enter and get added to the wait list some 15-20 mins AFTER us. After 30 mins had passed we checked on our status. We were told they were looking for a table for 5, as we had 5 in our group as well. Imagine our surprise when the other family of 5 were called BEFORE us! When we inquired/complained, we were told by the host that she would get her mommy. "Mommy" Jade was the supervisor on duty. I told her what happened and she instantly defended her daughter stating we were next on the list. I asked for the number to corporate and Jade claimed to not have it. Beware of this IHOP. We stopped in for breakfast before continuing on the road. The restaurant is new in a shopping area with plenty of parking. Everything inside is clean and new. Virginia seated us and waited on us. She was delightful. Friendly, fast and good service. Our food came quickly and was hot and good. Of course it's hard to mess up pancakes when you are a pancake house! Ordered red skin potatoes , got just fried potatoes. My husband ordered a burrito they made it into a bowl. The waitress stated she would have them make another.... it never came out. The server stated that she was new .. which is fine but no one was helping her either. The manager was very rude and actually no help. She "took care of my bill" when all I had was 2 3 dollar drinks. Visiting Ocean City during social distancing and being gluten free I thought it would be nearly impossible to find good GF breakfast. I was so wrong. I ordered a GF waffle, eggs, and sausage and the rest of my party ordered regular pancakes and egg meals. Restaurants weren't open for dine in yet so we got curbside. Food was awesome and hot. The to go containers are really cool with two layers to keep your pancake or waffle fresh and separate from the eggs and meat. Looking for IHOP in the area while my mini winter vacay in OC. I saw 2.5 stars for this location on yelp. But since I was in a mood of eating some good pancakes, I still decided to give it a try despite that rating. Once arrived I was very warmly greeted by Ken, and he made me sit to my booth. He asked me if I want any Juice or coffee, I asked for coffee. He gave me sometime to go over the menu and decide what I want. He then came back in a very reasonable amount of time and took my order and again asked if I want anything else. My order sirloin tips with all the sides and pancakes ( which I upgraded to tres leches with some up-charge) came out in no time. It was hot, fresh and very delicious. Ken was very attentive and kept checking on me. I don't know why this place got 2.5 stars where as it clearly deserves 5 stars. While our waitress was attentive, I could tell she was new. There were 4 paying adults in our party and 4 kids. When I asked about the kids eat free with a full paying adult entree, I was told that yes but they could only order 1 type of item. I showed her the menu and the promotion and she said ok (one kid wanted pancakes, 1 wanted a burger etc). So about 45 mins goes by and the food comes out slowly but surely and of course none of it was hot so you could tell it was sitting out. I always advise the waiters to please bring the kids food out first so they can eat because after a beach day, they were cranky and hungry. Long story short she bought 2 kids meals out and all that was on their plate was a cheeseburger. I asked her where the sides were because an entree is a whole meal and she said the manager said the kids cheeseburger entree doesn't come with anything but the burger.
