The short rib sub was absolutely delicious served with Kettle chips. The meat was perfectly cooked and must have fallen off the bone before being put on the roll. The ribeye cheese steak was good with American cheese served with kettle chips. The ribeye was juicy and flavorful. I only wish the rib eye was sliced and not crumbled with more gooey cheese. Forgiveness because the short ribs were insanely good. I opted for a side of coleslaw (dixie style) however just a tad too sweet for my taste. They offered traditional bratwurst and kraut with mustard for Oktoberfest weekend. Definitely a must do in Berlin. They sell beer and wine. Sadly we had a bad experience while spending the day shopping in Berlin. It started with our waitress spilling an entire tray of drinks on my wife. She was soaked. Broken glass, ice and wine/beer everywhere. My wife took it in good spirits and we moved tables. The waitress was nice but very awkward the rest of the time. It took a while for our food to come out. In the meantime we ran out of drinks and had requested water multiple times. Nothing. This is a small place and there were 3 other tables. Finally we got drinks and our food showed up. I had the brisket sandwich. Mouthfuls of fat! Gross. The brisket was good but my sandwich was 1/2 fat. My wife's was the same. Cute place. Horrible experience. The food could have been good but you can't serve a sandwich that's 50% fat. Our drinks were comped but that didn't make up for the overall l experience. read more

(November 2022, Berlin, MD) we were looking for a lunch place on weekday off season. Almost every place in Berlin we had in mind were closed. This place was open but only the shop's section. The bar/cafe section was closed. We could order only the sandwiches and cold soft drinks to eat inside after ordering at the shop's counter. Homemade Pork BBQ sandwich was a huge pile of pulled BBQ pork on a slightly toasted bun. The meat was excellent- melts in your mouth but it was way too sweet. I couldn't finish the meat because of an overwhelming sweetness. There were no pickles or any savory toppings to balance the sweetness (3 out of 5). Rib eye cheesesteak sandwich( you can order 6 or 12") comes as a huge portion of pulverized meet inside of a roll. It was offered with a choice of toppings ( cheese, onions, mayo). Proportions are off - too much meat on a dry bread ( there is so little mayo that it is almost unnoticeable) and too little of toppings so that there is no balance of tastes and flavors. You are basically eating a huge pile of ground meat on plain bread. If this is what you like - go for it, you will not be disappointed. I like my sandwich moist and flavorful where ingredients complement each other, not overwhelm. We should have gone with straight forward hamburgers instead of these sandwiches. Prices are reasonable ( for the size of portions and quality of meat), service at the shop is ok ( nothing memorable or exceptional) . read more

I really had high hopes for this "rib eye" cheesesteak sandwich. It tasted very good but the "rib eye" was nothing but tiny crumbles of unidentifiable "meat". I've had many cheesesteaks (especially from Philly) and this $17 16" rib eye was disappointing due to the texture of the meat. It fell out of the sandwich with every bite. The roll, cheese and sautéed onions all tasted good along with the proper flavorings. The meat was ruined by its disintegrated mass. The staff was very friendly, competent and expeditious. The shop was clean and organized but crumbled specs of "rib eye" ruins a true cheesesteak sandwich. Tony Luke's of Philadelphia serves a rib eye cheesesteak worthy of the title. If this is a Berlin, MD version of a cheesesteak I won't purchase it again. Please rethink how you pulverize the meat. You're a butcher shop! read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and grabbed an Italian cold cut on a hoagie. The staff was incredibly nice and they cleaned off a space for us to sit outside and waited on us. I love the window on the side of the restaurant so we could easily talk to our server if we needed anything. This restaurant is really cool. They offered lots of deli meat to take home as well as a full service restaurant and wine bar. I will definitely be back to try more of the venue! read more

They recently started serving brunch here on the weekends! It was delicious. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito with green chile sauce and the brioche French toast. I have been here to sit both inside and outside on the patio. I would highly recommend checking out the rest of the town of Berlin while you're here. Mid June, 2024, I ordered a corned beef sandwich. I would give the corned beef sandwich a -1 star. The meat looked like pre-sliced, pre-packaged lunch meat that you could buy at a grocery store. We were coming from a prior appointment on 113 and on a whim decided to go to the Atlantic Hotel for lunch. We quickly turned onto Williams street and just before a stop sign we saw this place. We saw the sign for rib eye cheesesteaks and quickly turned in. The place was clean and only a few people in there as it was only 11:30. The bartender said to sit where we wanted. In general, I'm not a big fan of eating in a restaurant where only the bartender is there to look after the restaurant and bar. Typically the restaurant suffers so that they can make money on the bar patrons. She was very attentive and very friendly. We both ordered the ribeye cheesesteak and one side of fries. The wait was very reasonable. The cheesesteaks were great. Plenty of meat flavored to perfection. As one reviewer stated, the meat was diced finely. To us that is not a problem. We are more concerned that the sandwich be moist and full of meat, and flavor. It did not disappoint! The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, which is rare at most restaurants, even though it's prime season. The fries were nothing special, but they were just out of the fryer hot, and cooked to perfection. After this experience, we will definitely be back to try the angus burgers! read more

I can only speak to what I have had. Sorry no pics. I had the Cuban for lunch, delicious!! A burger for lunch, delicious. As far as meats, I've had the chorizo sausage which is nice and spicy and the best I've ever bought. Italian hot sausage is great, made the way its should be, with fennel. The heat level is perfect. Bought there Angus burgers to cook at home, Delicious. Bought slab bacon and my wife burned it so have to get back to you on that next time I go. The meats look amazing and the man that rang me up took the time to tell me how to cook the beautiful Filet Mignon they had in the case. I didn't get them this time, but will definitely be back for them. It's a nice shop with nice people and great products. If you're not use to shopping at a butcher shop, the prices may rock you a little, but it's not Walmart meat and they can't offer Walmart prices. You get what you pay for. There sandwiches are prices reasonably and they are made fresh. If you can't spend the money on the butchered meats, support the sandwich end of the business. They are a small business a tad off the path of Berlin when walking through Main st. So search them out. It's worth the short walk. read more

Food is outstanding. Service an ownership sucks. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes a for a cheesteak and fries. Check in with the staff several times but was told once ticket was lost next time ticket was there but bury..... ate outside, once outside a dog jumped up on the tables and tried to eat our food..... when I said get your fu@king dog off the table after waiting an hour a patron said you used the f word twice. I proceeded to use a third time. The patron complain to ownership that I cursed after a dog tried to eat my sisters food. I was told it was a family place and f bombs were frown upon. I spent 91 dollars on 3 cheesteaks and an hour of my time I will never get back full of excuses. Food was great but ownership and experience was poor. read more
