Come on, son. It's IHOP. Would you really expect anything above 3 stars? I don't understand people who give it one or two stars and complain about the service. It's a chain restaurant in the middle of a town that's full of incredible breakfast joints. Yes, the service is generally slow, the place is usually empty, and the food is cheap and nothing special, which makes it like every other IHOP in the country. If we're being reasonable, it's 3 stars because you generally get what you expect. Most chains are not 4-star-worthy and that's okay. read more

Never again! We walked in and waited to be seated. The waiter eventually greeted us by saying"I'm the only waiter here it's going to be a while." The place was empty except for two tables. We sat down and patiently waited. Twenty minutes went by without the waiter at least saying he'll be with us soon or take our drink orders. Two tables away from us was a couple with a toddler who was unsupervised. The little girl then pulled the fire alarm which was located less than two feet from their table. Came in on a Wednesday morning. Not busy at all, waitress (Kaliaah) talked over me while I tried to order. Brought out my food and set it down never asked if I needed anything else and brought my check in 5 minutes. Not sure why I was so rushed in an empty restaurant. Normally I love ihop. There were multiple empty seats but it still took a long time to get my food. When it finally came the chicken was warm and the waffles were stone cold. The restaurant must be doing poorly and it is saving money by not turning on the heat. People were wearing their coats during their entire meal. The waitress was friendly but absent. read more

My 6 year old son loves this place. I hate it. The service is slow to nonexistent. The orders are never right. I don't plan on returning. Today was the las straw. It took over 10 minutes after being seated to even be greeted by a waiter. He promptly took our whole order brought our drinks and set everything in front of our 1 year old. Fortunately, I was able to out maneuver her. It took over 25 minutes for our pancakes to arrive. An s the side of egg for my son never showed. The waiter never returned until I got up to leave. Don't be fooled. This IHOP should be named IHOS- International House of DECEIT! Every time my friends and I try and get a milkshake there, they claim the milkshake machine is broken. This has happened routinely from fall of 2016 to now. But, listen to this- an IHOP insider revealed to us they don't have a milkshake machine! They make the milkshakes by hand- but will never actually give us one. Just once, I want a milkshake! Food's actually pretty decent, if you're into cheaper breakfast fare. My family and I decided to eat here together and I understand there was 10 of us, but we ended up waiting two hours and there was still no food. People had come and gone so we made it known to the waitress, and we understood when she spoke to us about the wait. We did not request the manager but the manager Don had rushed to our table, being so DISRESPECTFUL right when he confronted us because we asked how long the wait will be to the waitress the ONE time. There was no yelling, no rude behavior, just a simple question. How the situation was handled was definitely not in a professional manner. We ended up leaving and just paying for the drinks. It was fairy empty today, but we still waited forever. We ordered drinks and didn't get them for 20 minutes, and when we got our food (finally) it was not worth the wait to say the least. Our bacon was dripping with grease, and my hashbrowns were way overcooked- and I found egg shells in them! The restaurant was filthy and the staff seemed to not care. I sat in the booths facing the entry way and watched multiple people leave after walking in and waiting way too long to even be seated. There was a mix up of some sort with who I assume was an Uber eats (or something similar) driver and the manager working did not handle the situation well at all. Overall, avoid this place. I went there with 4 friends and we had to wait for roughly 40 mins for our food, not to mention that we were the only customer at that time! There is no hope. in the darkest corner of an infinitely void universe there shambles an excuse for a restaurant . My taste buds insulted, my stomach shattered, and my libido permanently erased. It should be that in nightmares featuring the ancient Cthulhu that one goes mad, but I have been driven to anguish and agony by the mere hour of dinning in the culinary equivalent of Tartarus. I was Greeted by what I would sparingly describe as a vile punk, this was the first red flag. Sat or rather condemned to a table i looked around in disgust. Blood starved goblins I tell you, how they ate would end a lesser man. Blame them I could not "your are what you eat" and surely the cuisine matched the gluttonous devils. I had ordered in my sharp thought a simple stack of pancakes to leave me in control of toppings and other opportunities of error, as well as a small vial of steeped beans. What chef must they have for food to be prolonged so far, when it finally arrived my curfew was long past. The baked stacks were so lacking in hydration that I might of dried out had I not charred my inners with the excuse for coffee. It may of been torture but I will dishonor no chef, so I endured. This is the minimum time I can sacrifice to help good people avoid a fate worse then death, when I have more time I will conduct a more scholarly study on the diner. I went there with my grandkids for a pancake dinner. Ended up waiting 15 minutes just for our drink order. Waited another 20 minutes for her to take our order. We all ordered pancakes and had to wait 32 minutes for them only to come out with hair on my plate. Waited 9 minutes longer to get a fresh batch. I would understand if they were busy but they weren't. The manager asked how it was I bit my young on most of the issues and asked if the cooks had hair-net. This is the best excuse she had. Our food took over an hour to arrive. Our server was in a slightly distraught mood, and was on the gruff side. I ordered a relatively simple meal and it has taken this long. Currently writing the review, and from my surroundings, there are barely ANY customers in the entire diner. The greeter WAS friendly, but the rest of the experience was quite a wash. We have been here multiple times since the mask mandatory ruling in Bozeman/MT and had the same waitress (20 year old blonde- I think the name was Heaven?) every everytime. She has been horrible on every occasion and every time we have been has never worn a mask, didn't respect social distancing+sanitization regulations in an almost empty restaurant as well as she would ask us what we would order just after getting the menu, and she was rushing us and bringing the check almost right after the food was served. She has also let other patrons kids run around the store and even go into the kitchen (unmasked as well). She also awkwardly lingered while we ate and whenever we needed something she would be on her phone or somewhere nearby but be slow to come help. Last time I visited this restaurant was almost 2 years ago. We'd been there several times, each time leaving fairly unhappy with the service. The last trip however, was the epitome of everything going wrong all at once. They were under staffed, employees were talking near our table about how they couldn't wait to go home (all the while ignoring us). Getting our drinks took way too long, as did our food. I sat near the register and watched several customers complain about horrible service as they paid for their meals. My kids were served expired, bagged apples. Our adult meals weren't that great either. My wife was served tomatoes that looked like they'd been cut and put in the fridge a couple days earlier. The cashier offered to give us half off our meal. I told her I was never coming back and that it didn't matter whether I paid full price or not. Two years later, my wife and I still joke about how we won't go back to Ihop again when we are discussing where to eat when we go out. read more

Our waitress "lost" my husband's credit card. That's all you need to know about this place. You probably have some questions. What else can I say? She took the card, ran it at the register, returned with the receipt to sign, but somehow managed to "lose" the card between the register and our table. She apologized, fished around in her apron "looking" for it, generally putting on a good show. The manager came over, didn't apologize, but took my phone number in case it "turned up." I may look like an docile old lady, but I've got the Bank of America app on my damn smart phone, thank you very much, and I reported the card "lost" in three clicks. I'm no racist, but the Bozeman IHOP is just okay. The food is highly standardized, so it's going to be as good as you can expect from any given IHOP. The problem is that service is typically unreasonably slow. If you're old or have a lot of time on your hands, then it'll suit you just fine. read more
