Ted's is normally our go to steakhouse while visiting from out of town and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. While my first experience was great, each visit since has gone downhill, and this most recent one was incredibly disappointing. We waited 30 minutes just to get drinks from the bar. Our server seemed overwhelmed, and it was clear the restaurant was struggling to keep up. Our kids were starving, and it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. When it finally came, I ordered the ribeye, which was completely flavorless--definitely not what I expect from a place known for steaks. At the end of the meal, I brought up our concerns to the server. She apologized and offered 10% off the bill. We were charged, signed, and ready to leave after a 2.5-hour dinner. However, we noticed the discount hadn't been applied, so we stayed behind while the bill was corrected and reprinted. Days later, we noticed an unauthorized charge on our account--for the full amount of the bill. We've called the restaurant multiple times to speak with a manager, and no one has returned our calls. As someone with 15 years in the restaurant industry, I find it unacceptable that no one from management addressed our concerns at the table or has followed up since. We'll be disputing the charge with our credit card company. It's unfortunate, because Ted's used to be a great spot, but the service and accountability have gone severely downhill. If you're looking for a good steak and a smooth dining experience, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

We were a group of five dining at Ted's Montana Grill and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, which would be understandable if the restaurant was packed -- but it wasn't. There were maybe five or six tables occupied in total. It was clear the staff was overwhelmed or understaffed. We saw new customers come in and stand around waiting, with no one greeting them for several minutes. Eventually, a server came out and explained she had been helping in the kitchen. That honestly made me wonder -- was my steak cooked by a chef, or by one of the servers? I ordered my steak medium rare, but what I got was at least medium, if not more. For a place that positions itself as a steakhouse, that kind of mistake is disappointing. All in all, the restaurant wasn't busy, yet service and execution were far below expectations. Sadly, we won't be coming back any more.

The wait is not that long.. we came here as walk in's 2x on our 1week stay that started in Bozeman, went down to Yellowstone, then to Idaho for UTV riding and then to Jackson Hole WY to go see the Teton National Park. It was nice to walk around the local shops while we waited and then afterwards to work off those delicious carbs. Thin crust pizzas clean, fresh, not heavy and seasonal ingredients. The crust is soooo good. Chewy and some char. We had: Montana Burger Royale My teen son dreams about this. Yes its 27.00 and he said its the BEST burger he's ever had. I would have to agree (and we live in Austin TX where there's great cow) -the burger meat melted in your mouth -the egg dripping as you break the yolk was perfection. The bacon so juicy, the brioche bun (that was the winning touch) We shared: Hot Honey Pizza- so good 9/10 Spicy Burrata- also great. 8/10 Mac n cheese- that was the only miss. Way under seasoned and the white sauce seemed to get sucked up by the pasta so the dish was super dry. 3/10 Frites and Fondue- fries were great. Thick cut with finely shaved pecorino. Could have used a heaping more of the shaved cheese. -the fondue was ok, seemed still under seasoned or just not creamy enough? I'd swap that for some roasted garlic with the truffle oil. 6/10 Local brews and ciders were great! 9/10 Huckleberry Cheesecake 9/10 save room for this bad boy. We split it between 4 people. Not too sweet. Tart and delightful! The world cup was on the TV so it was a hopping place even as it rained during a late June evening. Parking garage nearby is free for 2hrs so thats cool! When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.

All the sides were excellent, especially the Brussel Sprouts which many people were complimenting. My son ordered the Dry Aged American Wagyu NY 14 oz.
