Spicy Poblano Eggs Benedict Sirloin Steak Tips Country Fried Steak
    Ashley H.

We went here for a Sunday brunch and thankfully they had seats. It was almost a full house inside and when tables cleared, new parties came in. They have a free parking lot but even that was packed. Service was friendly and quick. The food is good as it gets for an IHOP. It's not amazing but it satisfies for a chill breakfast/brunch. I ordered the spicy poblano eggs Benedict - there was a 0 spiciness level and the eggs felt like they were just hard boiled. My mother ordered the steak tips with onions and mushroom but I thought the sauce was on the sweeter side. My husband got the country fried steak which was probably the best thing out of the three of us. The pancakes we had were good : the New York cheesecake and the buttermilk, soft and tasted like its name.

Since this ihop opened they've only gotten busier and busier. The service is always fast and friendly and the food is always well portioned and great tasting. We love the seasonal specials. the breakfast burrito is a family favorite. and almost everything on the menu comes with pancakes. who can complain about that? we love coming here for a treat when in the neighborhood.

I have them 5 stars because I felt this was as good as an IHOP could get. Our waiter John M. was really attentive. Very polite, made good suggestions and could definitely be working in a higher end restaurant. This was a nice find in Sheepshead Bay. Clean, modern, nice atmosphere, great service. They have a very extensive menu for everyone. There's a kids menu, senior menu, great options for healthy eating which I was most interested in. I think there's something for everybody. We had the chicken fajita omelette, the veggie omelette and a side order of the blueberry pancakes. The blueberry pancakes had blueberries in the pancakes and were topped with blueberries. Everything was really good, the right temperature, and nice portions. I walked out very full. The bathrooms were clean, everyone worked well as a team and I was pleasantly surprised. If I'm in the mood for IHOP, this would be my go to location.

It was my first time visiting this IHOP with my family and it was pretty busy, but the service was good. Even with the crowd, our food came out quickly. About a 15 minutes wait, we did order a lot. We went in the afternoon and the menu had so many choices that I couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch. Overall, I had a really nice time with my family and enjoyed the food. No complaints for this IHOP.

Pleasantly surprised by this IHOP on Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn! I was dragged here with a group and didn't expect much in terms of healthy options, but I took a chance on the salmon with broccoli and spinach--and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. The place was clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the service was genuinely good--friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Big bonus: they have a parking lot, which is a huge plus in Brooklyn. Definitely would come back!

I really enjoy this new location as they have parking available! Inside was pretty empty except for 2 tables taken. The waitress came and took our order. We were able to get the food pretty fast which was nice. Everything was classic IHop, if youve been to any ihop before youd know. It was quiet and calm. We sat by a window and people watched as we ate. I will be making this my ihop spot!

It's always exciting when an iHop opens in the neighborhood. I already love this location because of the parking lot in the back. Upon arrival, store was very clean and all the staff were very nice Our server was Bryant and he did an excellent job and was super attentive! Got the steak omelette along with a short stack of pancakes. The steak omelette is HUGE and delicious as usual. Bryant brought it out in a speedy manner as well. The steak omelette is usually too big for me to finish so I always split it with my wife. The pancakes just hit different. Idk if it's because I haven't had them in a while but they are super fluffy. Paired with the butter and syrup, it's perfection Will def be coming back here!

Came here on the weekend for breakfast; was seated promptly by the staff; ordered their popular pancake breakfast combo; wait time wasn't too long and food came out piping hot. Coffee was really diluted- would've just ordered water instead. My buttermilk pancake tasted really delish- goes well with a Sunny-side up egg. My mom really liked their fresh squeezed orange juice- she tasted some of the zesty peels. Overall, a good franchise branch in this part of Brooklyn. Plenty of parking spots during the early hours.

Very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and how welcoming the vibe was. Exceptionally jovial atmosphere with a wonderfully diverse crowd. We had an omelette with tomatoes, avocado and hash browns which came with a side of pancakes and an egg, bacon biscuit sandwich with hash browns and coffee. Everything exceeded our expectations and the coffee was solid. The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. They really take pride in providing phenomenal customer service and it certainly shows. The customers seemed really friendly as well. One gentleman who saw me kinda struggling with holding onto my mother and opening the door, went out of his way to hold the door for us. Just a really great vibe, terrific people, along with wonderful and nourishing food. Two thumbs up from yours truly.

Had a pleasant experience at this Avenue U location of IHOP. Brought my mom for brunch on Memorial Day. It was crowded but we were seated right away. We were able to place our order within 5 minutes of being there, which was a plus! My mom ordered the 2x2x2 (2 pancakes, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and 2 eggs). I had the Mexican Dulce de leche pancake stack (4) with a side of 2 scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. Our hot chocolates were delicious. They came with whipped cream and chocolate chips on top--a nice little dessert within a dessert-like beverage. Our food came out hot and fresh. I wanted my eggs well done and they were kinda wet to me so I asked the waitress to take it back so it could be cooked a little longer until brown. She did it without any issues and it came back out much closer to how I'd wanted it. I think it was that was because of the cheese that was cooked in it as well as the fact that the eggs aren't freshly cracked eggs. I believe they use a premade egg mixture, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but when in Rome, right? Anyhow, we had a really nice experience there overall! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, plus they had the Mother's Day sign still hanging up so my mom was able to have a little photo shoot on our way out, lol. I'd recommend this new location of IHOP. It was a delight!

The neighborhood needs a diner type restaurant and I'm glad this is here. For IHOP this was very good. The service is friendly and attentive. The pancakes were great fluffy and tasty. I especially liked the hash brown potatoes. They were nice and crispy. Everything was great. I'll be aregular here.

Happy that there is finally an IHOP close by. We enjoyed our service and thought that they came fairly quickly. For two meals and drinks, this was surprisingly expensive, but hey, when you want IHOP, IHOP we shall get. Food is as you expect from IHOP. I thought the pancakes were dry, and the hashbrown kind of sucked. The omelette was actually quite good, except huge. Would come again when we have the craving again.

After hearing about the new location, I was pretty excited to have another brunch spot closer to me. Unfortunately, food-wise, I did not have the best experience here. I came on a Sunday afternoon to a relatively busy restaurant. I was worried the wait would be a while (saw about 10 people by the doors waiting for a table), but it ended up only taking around 10-15 minutes so it wasn't bad at all. We were seated promptly and our server was really sweet and tried her best to accommodate us during the busy rush. Fresh Berry Salad: A decent salad with strawberries, blueberries and our choice of grilled chicken. Nothing special to write home about but also not bad. Crispy chicken sandwich: Ayo this one came out raw LOL. If we had never cut this sandwich to split this between two people, we would have never known. Informed the staff who immediately replaced the dish and apologized about the matter. The replacement dish that came after was alright. The batter on the chicken sandwich was sub-par, and although it was certainly crispy and properly cooked this time, it was pretty dry. An average sandwich. Eggs Benedict: This one was honestly sad. Where they had undercooked the other dish, they had overcooked this one. The highlight of this dish in my opinion is usually the poached eggs, but yo girl was given two hard-boiled eggs instead. I was disappointed. Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake Tacos: Okay, I really loved these! Very fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The portion is just great for when you're craving pancakes but not willing to commit to the whole actual plate. It's also a relatively good size and having 3 for $6 was a decent deal. Crispy shrimp appetizer: This was surprisingly good! Shrimp was juicy and the batter for this was crispy and well seasoned. Came with a nice cocktail sauce that was tangy (and a bit like ranch) which was a nice addition. We ate this up in minutes. Overall, it seems like their staples (pancakes/waffles/regular breakfast samples) continue to be what they're known for. I'd probably come back for those. Anything else savory - I'd skip. Do love that there's a big parking lot in the back though, very convenient!

Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

The sandwich was very well made with a nice crisp panko crusting that didnt feel heavy on the oil, and yet still managed to have a light airy egg inside. The eggs rothko was buttery and flavorful but still managed to not feel too heavy. The broiled tomatos on the side were a nice touch to contrast the egg and toast from the main dish.
