IHOP is one of our go to places, this was our first time at this location. Our waitress was Amanda. Such a breath of fresh air. She was happy, polite, efficient, just an awesome waitress. Probably the best we have at any restaurant in a long time. Food came out fast, and was very good. Chain brand restaurants are chain brand, no doubt, but of all chains some are better than others under their respective logos. But in my opinion, this place leads the standard for the IHOP name. Horrid food...Have been there four times in the past 2 years, and each time the eggs, bacon and sausage were 'way undercooked, bordering on unsafe to eat; when we complained, we were told the same thing every time: "We're training a new cook." had an early morning taking my mom up to phoenix sky harbor from tucson. stopped here on the way back because the husband wanted pancakes. i don't really like breakfast, so i like that these diners let you order from the entire menu all day long. the husband got some blueberry pancakes and eggs. everything was good on his part. i got the fried chicken dinner (was going to save some for lunch/dinner later that day, too). it came with a soup (but the soup didn't make it out to our table until after the dinner came). besides the soup, nothing else was good. it didn't appear to be busy when we walked in, but service was super slow. the waitress never offered to refill waters. i always had to ask and then it took 10 minutes each time for her to come back. read more

We ate breakfast here twice. First day everything was great. Second day not so good. I ordered a pot of hot water, pumpkin waffles, & a slice of ham. The water pot had dried egg yolk in several places. I was served pumpkin pancakes & a half of a slice of ham. I also saw our server Adrian run his hand through his hair and not wash his hands before serving food. Adrian was a server for a neighboring table on the first day. Went in and the hostess didn,t even greet us, walked away (Service SUCKED overall) within 3 minutes though we were seated. The food was just ok nothing to wet my whistle over. First I almost left just because it was backed up however I was really hungry and running low on food and with all the Snow Birds here everywhere was packed. Glad I stayed, I was seated within five minutes and a wonderful young man by the name of Daryl (hope I spelled it right) was right there got my coffee and took my order. My husband and I had frequented this IHOP several times with poor service and food. Therefore, we stopped going over a year ago. In as much as we had received a gift card, we returned on January 1 of 2019 We were seated in a reasonable period of time and our order was taken soon after. We waited and waited and I noticed that a party of 6 who was seated ahead of us was also waiting, Across the room a party of 2 also seated ahead of us was waiting. All of us waited and waited and waited. You've hear the saying "wait for it, wait for it"! We finally received our order; however the party of 6 and the other party of 2 were still waiting to be served when we finished eating and were leaving. We have a balance left on the gift card, but I doubt that we will be returning. We are locals, not "snow birds" and will be able to find Denny's right across the street and also other restaurants in town that "care" about their customers. I don't know whether it is bad management, poor training, personnel that don't care or corporate. These are problems that have been long standing and need to be corrected. This has been one of my worst experiences at a restaurant ever. The food took an hour to reach our table, our waitress was not on her game. In that hour we were not given a single refill. Everything tasted as if it was bought from Walmart, cooked, refrigerated, microwaved, then served to us. My wife ordered extra gravy with her chicken fried steak and was charged 2$ for it. Read the reviews and assumed that the negative reviews were driven by the Rae bad experience. Not so. We ate about 7 PM during the dinner rush. No problem, good service. We then tried breakfast. Much different. I went to pay and had issues. Guy buying gift cards, couple waiting to be seated, family of 5 waiting too. The cashier called back then, after some time, called back again, that she needed help with seating . Nobody came. A bit embarrassing. She finally started taking people back. If I could give them a no star, I totally would. So... I've been going to this iHop almost every week for the past year or so. By far, this was the worst service I've ever had. I normally never complain at all about their service but I will tonight because I thought that tonight was an example of one of the worst customer services of my life. All my food came out cold. The eggs were cold and rubbery. They drowned all my food in whipped cream when I specially asked for no whip cream. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and they were sloppy. They made it half way and realized they forgot them so they threw them on there and threw them on the grill to melt it. It looked like someone shit on my pancakes. When Ebony, a server who worked there who normally served us, she always made sure our food was right and took it back with a smile. The girl who was serving us took it back. Talked shit about me with the cook and brought back my plate. How do I know this? I sat two feet away from the kitchen and you can hear everything. If you're going to talk shit about a client, wait until they leave. Never was able to finish my meal because most of my food came out after everyone had finished, and after she brought out our bill. What was even worse was that I wasn't going to say anything until when I got up to leave, the cook ran over to the front door and glared at us as we were walking out. I have never made a big deal about anything here even if the food was crappy or the service was crappy but I am always the person who leaves a great tip because I know how it feels to work in a place like this! I never once raised my voice or threw a fit. I asked politely if it was okay to remake something, or to maybe.... At least BRING OUT THE REST OF MY FOOD. I will never be back and I will let everyone know of what happened. To top everything off, getting food poisoning here was the cherry on top of my whole night. Thanks iHop and staff. Went here back in Feb and it was the worst IHOP experience I have ever had. IHOP is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. I always try to stop at one everywhere I go. Unfortunately we had to flag down a waitress after 30minutes just to get us drinks to start us off with. Then another 30-45mins go by and we finally get our order taken. After about an hour and a half to two hours and asking three times if our food was ready we finally got our food. Well some of it. And some food we didn't even ask for. My boyfriend got an omelet dish that smelt like it had gone bad and my pancakes were cold and dry. When my boyfriend refused to pay for a dish he was not satisfied with the owner still kept it on the bill and only took off a $1.44 discount. Why we stayed and paid I don't even know. It was empty and many people walked out. This IHOP gives the company a bad name and I will never go there again. read more
