The omelet also came with three additional pancakes so there was plenty of food for me and my wife. The service was pretty slow, and when it came time to pay the girl tried to charge me for the free pancakes even tho it said free on the receipt lol It was 6 dollars for those three red white and blue pancakes, but she took them off when I showed her my ID, a bit annoying since I had already showed my ID two other times. We had a craving for some pancakes this weekend so we decided to stop in to this IHOP - bad decision. The hot chocolate was served to me with the powder still sitting on top of the water then covered in whipped cream so I couldn't see it hadn't been mixed and I took a big gulp of clumpy powder. Then our food came and my breakfast crepe was served cold and was full of fatty gristle covered ham. Also the English muffin had clearly been sitting out for a long time before it was served because it was hard as a rock. Needless to say the meal was inedible and our server didn't come around often enough for me to even say anything. I am giving them 2 stars because the sweet lady at the front asked us how our meal was and when we told her she was more than happy to remove it from our check and offer her apologies. Service was very slow. It took me about 15 minutes to get on the wait list, and no one was in front of me in line. Then we finally got our seat, after a very long 1 hour wait because the staff was so unorganized. I understand it is mother's day, but how does the very rude manager not expect it to be busy. I was surprisedto see how rude a restaurantmanager was to their customers. After we sat, we ordered food right away, which took another 45 minutes to come to our table. On top of that, my omelet was very oily. Like it was sitting in a pool of oil. On top of that, the whole time we were waiting, our server did not check on us once within the 45 minute time we were waiting.. I won't be going to this ihop again. My daughter called our order in and went to pick it up. I understand that they were busy because today is 59 cent short stack day. Of course I ordered pancakes at regular price, hash browns with a side of gravy and my daughter preferred the red velvet pancake meal. My pancakes were so tough I had to get a steak knife out. So disappointed! My kids and I ate at this IHOP and the service was horrible! We were seated immediately. However, it took over 15 minutes before our server even came to our table. Another 30 minutes before we were even served. Our orders didn't come out at the same time. My son's food wasn't warm. I came to this IHOP with my siblings about 45 minutes until closing. When we came in the place was fairly empty. But there was still a family sitting there waiting. (Maybe for the food or the check. Either way they were seated.) A good 5-10 minutes pass and an employee finally comes out for the back. He looked unwelcoming and irritated by the sight of my sisters and I. And told us that they were closed for the night and that we needed to leave. From what I saw when I checked the times they closed at 10pm not 9:15pm. From that point we left. Lived in Concord for over 30 years. Visited this location for past 20 years. What happened? I came to this location several times about 15 years ago when I was in my teens. It was amazing. Food and service were great! Then came college and visits became once every 1-3 years. I've noticed a decline in quality but I stayed loyal to my childhood memories. Today is my last visit. I brought my whole family for breakfast today morning. All of our food was cold. We had to send three omelettes back to reheat in the microwave. The grilled cheese sandwich was as hard as rock with two severely burnt pieces of toast. How does one mess up such a simple dish is beyond me. Then came the service: we all ran out of water prior to getting our food. It took 20-30 minutes and several prompts to get refills. 3/6 of had finished eating by the time our water refills arrived. And lastly, the kicker... Our total bill was $79. I had a $50 gift card. There is a promotion running with advertisements on EVERY table: "Buy a $25 gift card and get a $5 off coupon." I tried buying the gift card and I get a generic message saying the scanner isn't working. They tell me I therefore cannot use my $50 gift card either. I only went to IHOP today to use this card, mind you. The cashier then tells me to order the same food on the app to use my gift card to which I go through the pain-stacking process of downloading an app, signing up, and ordering everything all of us ordered down to all the minute changes. The gift card works and I submit payment. I then go back to the cashier to let her know I submitted the payment. She tells me to talk to her manager AFTER I submitted payment. I then go talk to manager who doesn't know what is going and tells me to go through her next time. She kept insisting her machine is working fine and my gift card was fake. Why did it work on the app then genius? Your machine not working and your staff having poor leadership is not my responsibility. I have never been this frustrated by a large chain in my life. I've been coming here for years and lately for the last few years, it's been really bad; customer service sucks; very disorganized; cleanliness used to bad but appears to have improved as they have done some renovation. I like this place. I find the parking lot a bit tough to get in but over all -- good place to grab a quick bites. The service is always nice and foods stay consistent at about a three stars. For me, foods always come HOT and with a smile. Granted a ton of older clienteles but I do appreciate the more quiet atmosphere. For the nights that I visited this place -- I get great service and OK foods. I would suggest this place as a quick bite in the evening. -- Not gone here for breakfast so I can not comment how the breakfast here. But for my dinners (a bunch of times). So I was happy that they were open until 11pm on a Friday. There weren't very many people and it seemed like one waitress was the only one working there but she did a good job tending to the many people that were in our party with I think 5 or so different checks to be split. We usually go there once every 2 weekends to have brunch. Service has been mixed - one male server is very efficient, and we really like his efficiency. This weekend was the most horrible experience. I don't eat bacon but love sausages, so I always ask for hash brown to be substituted for bacon in their crepe combo (International Passport). This has never been a problem in the past. This weekend, the server said she'd substitute the bacon, but when the order arrived, there were no sausages. I asked about it, and she said she assumed that I didn't want sausages either. I said that I did want them, 2 minutes later, the manager (Lycie) arrives and let's me know that it is company policy to substitute hash browns for all meat in the combo. I said that is fine, but I wasn't told about it earlier, and that it has been OK in the past. She talked me down in a deprecating voice for sausages that cost a whopping ONE DOLLAR! I said I was unhappy and she said she'd give the sausages this one time. Now I'm not a beggar and would definitely do without her "generosity". Great early morning Christmas breakfast. No crowd. Fast service. I ordered the steak omelette, eggnog pancakes, and fruit. Lots of food but had a craving for everything. The omelette had lots of meat and just the right amount of veggies and cheese. Tasty. The pancakes were really more of a dessert for four people The stack had a large dollop of whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon and was lined with an eggnog custard and syrup. Generous portions so had to get the "to go" boxes. I have been here before and the food is consistent. Friendly service is standard. Wow, a lot of bad reviews! We enjoy going to this IHOP, I totally agree with all of you they need to step up there customer service. Went for breakfast today and they can never get the order right. My wife ordered white cheese for her omelet and her toast dry on wheat bread! The food came (In a good amount of time) and the omelet had yellow cheese and the toast had butter on it. It never fails every time we go they get something wrong. We've never had to wait too long for the food or anything like that they are fairly prompt, well at least the times we have gone and at times would have to get ketchup on our own and stuff like that. We don't mind the coffee being served half way it is understandable they do it that way so you can make the coffee to your taste. Overall we enjoy IHOP very much, we would like it a lot more if they could fix the little things and lower there prices. They get 3 stars from me. read more

The Server seemed nice, but seemed to be rushing us as soon as we sat down. She wanted to take our entire order right away. We didn't have time to peruse the Menu or put in our drink order. We started off with Coffee and Hot Chocolates. The order was placed next and everything else was fine. The Server did forget my water and we waited for the check for what seems like a long time. Very bad! My husband and I went here last weekend. He ordered the steak breakfast and I ordered a veggie omelet. Ummm...are eggs suppose to taste like the dried stuff in the corner of your mouth mixed with cardboard? IDK... My husband's steak looked like it was frozen and then thawed. It had that grainy look, and seemed to have been thawed and frozen repeat several times. Very gross!! Not the breakfast we had intended on having early Sunday morning. We walked out having only taken 2 bites each of our food. We ordered drinks as well, and paid the $6 for 2 tiny drinks, which the owner should have given us for free after such terrible food.
