I've been to this location with my family several times and I can honestly say that I have not had one bad experience, except for a long wait on a Sunday around noon. It all felt very standardized as its part of a much larger chain or corporation. Service was fast and orderly. There is almost no ambience to this place, its just eat and go. The tables are either chair-distance apart or adjacent to each other so I didn't feel like talking much with my dad in the crowded place that it was. Food, I tried their double-dipped french toast, cinnamon sugar style with a breakfast sampler combo. I don't what was going on today that day. It was busy. It was loud. But my hash browns were overly salty. Were the chefs mad that it was busy? And channeled their inner rage into salt-throwing? Who knows? Anyways bacon and eggs tasted like it should because its really hard to screw that up. Sausages tasted like basic cafeteria, buffet sausages. The cinnamon sugar french toast should've been named "double-dipped in fat for your taste buds and for my profit margin." It was good and buttery, I'll admit it had a lot of texture but I didn't expect that kind of greasiness you usually find at fast-food joints. If you want a quick, cheap breakfast and have no where to go, come here and all your wishes of mediocre american breakfast will be fulfilled. The food was fine which should be expected of IHOP the problem I had was with my server Mr. 202 Douglas. He was distracted and we had to call him multiple times before he turned to us, and we had to do that several times. After we ate and he gave us our receipts after the 4 times we called for him he gave me an attitude because i was on my phone. Instead of simply putting it on the table like what someone with common sense would do he decided to be snarky and say " you want your receipt?" My friend also tried taking it for me and he wouldn't give it to her, he refused to let it go. An average IHOP that starts getting extremely crowded around 9:00am. I've had some mixed experiences here. The food is alright for standard breakfast fare, but the service has been a little rude on a few occasions. Then again, I guess no one is in a good mood at eight in the morning. I usually get a breakfast combo and avoid the flavored pancakes because I don't really like a sickly sweet taste in my mouth so early in the day. Our waitress thought my son and I were going to skip the bill so she kept hovering around our table.. she didn't even wait for me to get the full amount for the bill out before she was at the table scooping up the money I work in the industry I WOULD NEVER SKIP A BILL.. I came here for dinner with my family. I got the $9.99 Turkey dinner special that came with a soup or salad and a desert of the day. The Turkey dinner was good, but I never got the desert. And the biggest issue I had was that there was a small dead bug inside my salad, so I asked for a soup instead and ate it very cautiously. The service was friendly, but I never knew my waiter's name. The creamy, fluffy buttermilk pancakes I remembered from my childhood were gone, and instead the pancakes I was given were small, sad, and underwhelming. The hefty sausages shown on the menu were nowhere to be found, in their place were the sort of puny links you might find in the frozen foods section and tasted like them. The energy in the establishment was very much off everyone was angry and yelling at eachother one of them even pushed the other. Our waiter was very impatient and kept changing her mind about if something was really on menu or not (seemed like she didn't really know the menu). She grabbed my phone out of my hand at one point and kept telling me to read the menu. I didn't like that especially touching my phone during COVID. Now I understand a bad day at work but that doesn't help that the food was TERRIBLE. The orange juice was so watered down it tasted like water with a hint of orange juice with slush on the bottom. The food tasted like cardboard. The price of my meal was very expensive. The night before I went to a fancy 5 star restaurant and my total was the same. My bill at low quality IHOP and 5 star italian restaurant shouldn't be the same. Lastly, I made a reservation and I got to the parking lot on time but there was no parking. This IHOP seems to be a cramped up place. The servers were not very friendly and the one who served us had hard time understanding our order. The food was pathetic. I had pancakes [Harvest Grain N Nut] - uncooked. My husband has bacon cheese burger - Worst, very oily and no taste at all. Golden Hash brown - Extremely oily. I don't understand he low ratings. Its IHOP, what do you expect? And besides, I've never had a problem here. This is by far the best I HOP I've been to in north Jersey. (I've lived in Jersey City and you can imagine how the IHOP there is). Sure it's a little cramped but it works. Their staff are friendly, helpful and the manager (I go Sunday mornings) always makes sure his staff are doing well. Great pancakes! Service not that good at this location. There was a mistake was my dish, didn't know there was bacon in it. Menu didn't mention that there is bacon in it. Manager didn't seem to care and just left me with it. Of course I didn't eat it since I don't eat bacon and just stuck to the other things we've ordered. I go to this ihop location at least once a week and it is the best ihop I have ever been to. The service is sooo sooo sooo friendly, they are quick, and efficient. The food comes out in great time and they never mess up my order. I go with my family so they already know what we're going to order because we come so often. Everyone there is nice. It's clean too. Service was very good and we were seated right away. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars. I was last there less that 2 months ago and the pancakes have changed drastically. 1st of all, they are much smaller. They put something in them to make them very fluffy, however when you put your fork into it, the pancake disintegrates. What a profound disappointment. I sent them back and got the harvest nut and grain pancakes which were about 50% better. It seems as though ihop has fundamentally changed their recipe, for the worst, at least this one did.
