From adults to kids a bit of everything from toys, clothing , jewelry, displays and much more! Everything is so organized with attention to details. It's highly Clean In side the restroom, dining area and the gift shop! I was first greeted by Laura, she directed me to my table she was so kind. My waitress was Araceli D. Araceli was super polite, kind, sweet, caring, super down to earth, very easy to talk to. She asked me if I had any questions and I did. She answered them all beautifully!! So I ordered Hashbrown Casserole Shepherds Pie with side Carrots with a biscuit, cornbread and sprite all fantastically delicious ! I also bought $6 take home meals you can choose from meatloaf with Mac and cheese or Crispy Homestyle Chicken or Fresh Strawberry French Toast Bake, and Smokehouse Grilled Chicken. I am a regular here even though we live in the valley, we make sure we have the very best breakfast at least twice a month. I either take my family, or invite my friends and everybody loves it! Today, I took my two sons with me since we have been craving it since last month. It was really a must to go especially with me since I had been working 10-12 hours for 5-7 days. As we walked in, the store was neatly stocked. The host was smiling, which I really like because you feel very welcomed and I requested for a table by the window and of course for our favorite server, Samantha! Samantha S. has been an amazing server! She always smiles and always tend to our needs from beginning to end. She makes sure we have the best and most delicious breakfast ever! As Cracker Barrel would say, 'The best ingredient is care!' She surely delivered it! The food...OMG! Best deal for a homemade-like, country-style meals! I always get the country boy, but today I felt like a good, juicy steak and eggs, baked hash browns, and grits. I also tried their pecan pancakes....I was speechless! Don't bother. This is the second time we've tried this place and both times the service sucked. Front desk girl was super kind but we got seated and no one ever came. We started watching people that arrived AFTER us getting their drink orders in seconds after getting seated. And we were still there... waiting to order drinks. Even a giant family of 7 got seated and instantly got their drinks. It was 3 of us.... Do better. I talked to front desk girl and told her we were still waiting. I could not have been nicer about it and she was apologetic but honestly it was such a turn off that we decided to leave. We specifically came for the pancakes as they were so good last time but service alone isn't worth it. Never felt so ignored at a place. First thing, remove the individual responsible for removing real fried chicken from the week day menu. I'm guessing it's the same genius who f'd around with the corporate logo; am I right? I'll never come back until they fix both problems. They used to serve their side dishes in little bowls,well not anymore. My chicken was soaked by the juice from my green beans,as was my mac and cheese. Another reason for the one star review. Due to working schedules and family illness we've not been able to drive all the way to Camarillo to eat at the nearest Cracker Barrel. Imagine my dismay at not being told until the food came that no real fried chicken was available weekdays. Way to go CB! Oh, and the mens room smells bad, no hot water or soap either, hopefully the male employees have another place to wash up. This was my first time visiting Cracker Barrel. Upon entering, I noticed that they had a small gift shop attached to the restaurant. The restaurant itself was very spacious, with plenty of tables available for dining in. It offers classic Southern-style comfort food and a nostalgic atmosphere. I browsed through the gift shop while I waited for my table to be ready. For a small shop, they had a wide variety of snacks and other goodies to choose from. I even found snacks and drinks that I've never seen before! For my meal, I went with the chicken tenders combo. I ordered the 6-piece Nashville tenders meal and chose mac and cheese and steak fries as my sides. The Nashville sauce came on the side, which I thought was a nice touch because I was able to control how much sauce I poured onto the tenders myself. The mac and cheese wasn't memorable, but it wasn't bad either. I just wish it had been a bit more flavorful. The steak fries were seasoned with garlic and salt and were cooked perfectly. They paired well with my tenders. The chicken tenders themselves were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. They were also very well seasoned. The Nashville sauce was not one of my favorites, though. It had a smoky, mildly spicy, but also sweet taste. I prefer Nashville sauces that are smoky and spicy, but not sweet. Let's talk about the service. My server was sweet and had great knowledge of the menu, but she wasn't as attentive as I had hoped. I had to flag her down a few times to get her attention. Polite and prompt service. Ambiance is great with a western saloon look and fireplace going. Cute li'l gift shop as you enter. Lots of cute fun Knick knacks. My family and I had been walking around the outlets for several hours, and by the time 3 p.m. rolled around, we were all starving. Since I had never been to Cracker Barrel before, we decided to stop by and give it a try. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by shelves of merchandise since the entrance leads straight into their gift shop. There were lots of little knickknacks and nostalgic items. We did not end up buying anything, especially since we had already finished most of our holiday shopping, but next time we might browse more when we are not so tired. We were then welcomed by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. I absolutely loved the dining area decor. The walls were covered with old-timey relics like antique telephones, glass bottles, spades, and more. With so many restaurants moving toward a modern look, I really appreciated how themed and cozy this place felt. For food, we ordered the Hashbrown Shepherd's Pie and the six-piece chicken tenders with two sides. The shepherd's pie was flavorful and packed with tender beef, carrots, and celery. I especially enjoyed soaking the biscuits in the sauce. The chicken tenders were also good, with a lighter breading rather than a thick, crunchy coating, which is my preference. Overall, I really enjoyed our late lunch and would definitely come back again. If I had to point out a few cons, the service was a bit slow despite the restaurant not being very crowded, the cornbread tasted more like a muffin with only a subtle corn flavor, and the bathroom could have used better organization and cleaning, as it was fairly dirty during our visit. read more

We had such a pleasant experience at this Cracker Barrel. There aren't many locations nearby so we were very excited to stop by after shopping at the outlets. We were seated quickly, and every single staff member was so kind from the host to the gift shop register, and our server Amber was phenomenal! She was so helpful and attentive and made sure we had a great meal. We got the chicken tenders, meatloaf, and fried chicken breast, all were great but my favorite were the tenders. But the biscuits...if you've been to Cracker Barrel you know the biscuits are to die for. We got the beignets for dessert and they were amazing, melt-in-your mouth delicious. I ordered the cinnamon apples for myself family to share. They were pretty mushy but that wasn't so bad. What was bad is that I took a bite and it was a breaded shrimp, not an apple!!! I flagged my waitress and showed her what was in my desert and her response was to bring me a new one. I told her no and immediately asked for the check. My son has a shellfish allergy so had he tried the apples before me, we could have been in a bad situation! She came back and said the manager was going to comp the side of apples for me. In every state they have their location in, the layout is the exactly the same. New Jersey to Tennessee (HQ), Missouri, Arizona, Santa Maria (permanently closed). It reminds me of a great time with family and friends driving state to state and stopping by this place to feel at home for all parties. I love how you can get some comfort food in California that isn't too far away if you're lazy to cook. And they have a take home meal that's $6 after ordering my meal as well. I'm always looking forward to their dumplings, Mac and cheese, green beans and whatever cute iced coffee drink style they have seasonally. They have a new CEO now so there's no bar here anymore. Located in premium outlets, we decided to give the southern favorite a try. I wasn't very hungry and decided to share with the Hubbs. We ordered the meatloaf & chicken and dumplings plate which came with two sides and a biscuit. For our sides, we chose the fried okra which was crunchy fun food and not slimy at all and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. The hubs liked the meatloaf, but I wasn't so impressed. The chicken and dumplings seemed like large noodles in a white gravy with chunks of white chicken that is on the dry side. It didn't taste bad, but it sure looked clumpy. I liked the biscuit and fried okra the best. My friend ordered the blackened chicken, which was also very tasty. For dessert, we ordered their biscuit beignets which is more of a soft donut covered in cinnamon, sugar, powdered sugar, and a pecan syrup dipping sauce. They were very sweet and very good but then when is fried sweet bread, not good? They also have a store where we loaded up on old-fashioned candy. They have an add on Takeaway meal for $6.99 which is a great deal however we're traveling so we didn't order one. read more

Did the whole Xmas shopping in the first Friday in December and it was empty! The shops and this Cracker Barrel, immediately found a table by fireplace and had a wonderful first experience. Before visiting this CB location, I hadn't visited one of these establishments in at least a decade, on the East Coast, if my memory serves correct. It has definitely been a while! It's not my usual grub, but it's comforting, decent-priced/good value and local - three big wins for me. Some things never change, for the better or worse, especially in America, and this company is an excellent example of this notion, since its first launch in Lebanon, Tennessee in 1969. On the positive side, I appreciate the nostalgic decor and the shopping area near the checkout area is quite fun, packed with lip balm, old skool candy, clothing and records. The food quality is OK (I wouldn't say they have best pancakes as they've advertised) and I've been pleasantly surprised at their fresh take on OG dishes, such as their Hashbrown Shephard's Pie (which earned my highest recommendation). Service is usually good (a special shoutout to Autumn & Marpinika) and usually there is no long wait (but given their public controversies, this is not surprising, right?). As for negatives.... I noticed their wine/beer menu still features watered-down beer brands, such as Budweiser and Coors Light, but who knows? That could fit your palate. As far alcohol-infused beverages go, I did enjoy a yummy peach mimosa here last year and it was OK, not too sweet. I usually stick with their unsweetened iced tea as my go-to beverage. Or water with lemon - the dishes can be on the salty side, so this is your best option. As far as food, steer clear of the salads - not the best spot to get a fresh one. You're much better off with a comfort-food type dish. Overall, I decided the 3-star average rating is most on point, as my dishes and beverages have varied in taste and ranged in quality (ranging from a 2-4), but fair, as the service has been a 4/5 star, on each visit. Lastly, If you're swinging by strictly for the gift shop, I highly recommend the Dionis goat milk lip balm - so hydrating and it lasts a very long time. **Given the lack of big company response to the rapidly, unfolding unfortunate hunger/poverty mega crisis in the US, this prompted me to provide an updated review. Plus, it's never too late to give a shoutout to awesome people, right? I think so. Especially the service workers, who often get disrespected with attitude from the older crowd. Gosh, I still remember when I got "tipped" a quarter, thrown through the Dunkin Donuts drive thru from a boomer in 2001 and told to keep it to pay for college. Whatever that was about it, ha! Went first time this past Sunday, and it was very fun, both decorative-wise with old the old western theme and the service/shop/food. The gift shop is diverse and have hard to find old pop, snacks, souvenirs, etc. The dining room is large and barely any people at 9am, all right, my kinda place. Susan our server was terrific. The biscuits and gravy to start were super solid. Gravy almost tastes like clam chowder, no complaints. I had some kind of skillet with sausage crumbles, scrambled eggs, and the gravy on the bottom. Also a tasty cheesy hash browns bashed in all over the plate, good stuff. No need for the gravy, so just ate the center. It was different and good. The fried onions on top totally not needed, were cold and awful just picked them off and put aside, no biggy. Sister has the grandma plate or whatever and had really good fluffy pancakes that were super solid, and served with a bottle of warm syrup, would like thicker but good taste. Overall very fun place to eat and will come back for lunch and breakfast again. Its not a luxury resort breakfast, so grade it for what it is, and you'll be pleased. They are the first restaurant in the 40 or so we've been to with our baby that had us move the high chair to where one of the chairs was, usually they place it at end of table which allows for all hands on deck with mom and dad to help with a toddler learning to eat. Went in for breakfast I ordered the grandma special and my wife the garden omelette. My sunny side up eggs were raw, the waitress took the plate back and I got hard yoke. The garden omelette was way under eggs , the garden topping was burnt. Tried picking out the vegetables but couldn't. Tasted like bitter char. The hash browns were undercooked and had cream of chicken soup and onions and cheese mixed and the texture of raw eggs. The waitress was pleasant, coffee was good. Just a disappointment. read more

This was my first visit to Cracker Barrel, as my boyfriend's family wanted to take me there for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling unwelcome. When we ordered coffee, it arrived without a spoon. When we asked the server, she explained that they had spoons but that they were not included with the utensils. We had to request a coffee spoon about three times before it finally arrived, and when it did, the server's facial expression made it seem like our request was an inconvenience. Later, when our food was served, we asked for an extra plate so my boyfriend's aunt and uncle could share a pancake. This also took quite a while, and the server simply said, "Sorry, I was busy." Overall, the service felt inattentive and unwelcoming. As a brown-skinned guest in an environment where the majority of customers and staff were white, the experience made me feel uncomfortable and out of place. I hope the management team will look into this subpar experience and work toward providing more inclusive and attentive service for all guests. read more

For a diner/country breakfast place this is a 5-star. I'm not gauging it off other places. I got the chicken tenders and the cracked pepper in them was sooo good! You can choose 3 dips. I got honey mustard, Nashville sauce, and BBQ. If you blend the honey mustard and the Nashville; you have a winning combo. Now the turnip greens are naturally bitter. But they tasted fine. The fried apples for being out of a can were pretty good. The onion petals were just golden. Because fried onions are always good. And the wild berry tea is addictive, lightly sweet and worth ordering. I did some shopping here in the store for some old soda pop, old fashioned candies, and some natural body products. My server was unbelievably sweet and kind. And you really can't beat the price for the meal. Is this place going to win out a mom-and pop bbq place; no... My daughter also got this dish and they gave her larger portions of meatloaf and double the amount of green beans and the potatoes. The potatoes tasted like cardboard potatoes from a box. The meatloaf was over salted and definitely did not taste the way the Cracker Barrel meatloaf used to be made. Growing up in Southern California my whole life, I had heard of Cracker Barrel for years but never had the chance to visit one. I was so excited to see that on our most recent trip to the outlets this location was open! And honestly, I was not let down. The waiter we had was fantastic. He was friendly and helpful and had a great time goofing around with our 3 boys (7, 4, & 1 so they run the gamut of what's funny & he hit all of the right notes). Food came out quickly and was excellent. The biscuits up front were, despite being a tad on the salty side, delicious and some of the best non homemade ones I've had in years. I tried the Southern Fried Chicken and, once again, it was some of the best I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I had a feeling that I was going to be disappointed and I 100% was not. It was just amazing (I did find the hash brown casserole side a bit mediocre though). The vibe of the inside is kinda like old school TGI Fridays meets southern nick nacks. It's cluttered with imitation Americana, but not to the point of annoyance. It fits. My only 'complaint' is that when you're done, they give you a bill to pay in their little gift shop you enter the restaurant in. That area is tiny (or at least feels like it as it's crammed with so much random stuff to buy) and you have to squeeze into one corner to pay and the cashiers were either dealing with really complicated bills/other guests or weren't in much of a rush to move the line along. The whole paying process took way longer than it should have. Overall, the staff was all incredibly friendly and the meal was incredibly tasty (& reasonably priced too I might add). I will absolutely be looking forward to our next trip to the outlets...or as I will now call it...or next trip to a meal at Cracker Barrel. read more

We came near closing time on a Saturday night, and even though our server had two big parties, she still took great care of us. While the food isn't the healthiest, it is fun to visit once and while.
