Three words, gas station diner. If you don't harbor any real expectations for a even basic dining experience, much less excellent, you will be very pleased. Expect correct orders, timely service, attentiveness by staff and management when needed, food that doesn't look like it was recently microwaved, food that doesn't make you sick - well then you are asking for too much and going to find huge disappoinment at this place. Such was my experience as of a few weeks back. I am certain not to go here again except for the most dire need of basic nutrition in order to prevent starvation on the way to death. read more

Dined there for breakfast with friends. Food is good just typical breakfast foods. "Flavored" pancakes are ok but taste like regular pancakes nothing special like they are named. Such as the New York cheesecake pancakes, they are pancakes with strawberries on them. Great place for a bite. Weekends, are quiet busy and need to wait for 15 to 20 minutes. Servers are friendly and tell the specials and also help you out with ordering. I was placing meal for all of us in the group and one of their server recommended that it is too much and go with different option. Brought my family, wife, 3 kids, and mother for breakfast on 9/5. It looked really packed from the outside but the wait was only about 10 minutes. Servers were both friendly and attentive. Food was very good and came just as ordered. Only problem I experienced was the parking lot was quite full so we parked at the daycare center next door and walked over. My girlfriend and I aren't regulars, but when we come here, we've gotten the same 3 servers each time and they've been very warm and friendly. Prices are not bad and we've always gotten good service here. Food is also good. Do expect some wait on weekends for breakfast. The only thing I don't like is that you're in and out in 20 minutes. my kid loves this place and i have to say the food is average...not bad. The coffee blows. I think it's really lousy that you're unable to get actual maple syrup....just the high fructose corn syrup treated with maple flavoring. The service has always been wonderful here. What a waist of a franchise, they have rules that simply don't exist at any other IHOP! Service is slow whether picking up or dining in. Rude on the phone and at the counter. I called maybe 55 minutes before close and was told no phone orders within a hour, I go in order and pay go to my car in front of the cashiers window and wait. 20 minutes later I go in and they say oh we didn't know where you went BS. I have a long commute home from work so sometimes I stop here for dinner so I can miss sitting in traffic. I am always quickly seated and greeted by my waiter/waitress. A great place to have eggs or pancakes. But the best kept secret is their dinner menu. On Tuesday it's senior night all dinner are half price. The people are really friendly and never rush you out. Although I rarely hold out any high hopes for most chain restaurants, I usually do expect the simple things to be done well. I want to preface that our waitress was wonderfully attentive. The service over all was fantastic. We were generously seated in a four person booth when they could have just as easily slid the two of us in a two person spot. The experience took a turn however when we received our juices. I can possibly understand how the orange juice could be watered down. It's not a nice practice but it does stretch the juice a little. But the tomato juice was so watered down it wasn't drinkable for me. I left it and no one bothered to check to see why it wasn't touched. It was similar to ketchup water but close to no flavor. My companion's meal was the breakfast sampler and the portions were fairly small. He ended up ordering an entirely new order of French toast to compensate. He enjoyed it, but it was skimpy. My meal was eggs Benedict - a true splurge and favorite of mine. Sadly their attempt at hollandaise sauce was not even close to a recognizable flavor. It was a cross between butter and flour and a little mustard. Thick and lumpy and mostly flavorless, I was only thankful that I hadn't talked my friend into trying eggs Benedict for the first time. The French toast was fair. Hard to screw that up, but it was oddly hollow bread. I think most around us seemed please with their omelets. I may try that if I go again. read more

This being a new restaurant in a busy area, it was crowded. In all fairness, when entered, my family & I were seated promptly at desired location. My initial hopes were dashed, when a hostess showed up with a smile but no knowledge about specials being served. To play safe, all of us ordered from new 7 for $7 specials. What could go wrong with a fast moving item, we thought. Our orders were taken & served in reasonable amount of time. Half way through my chicken & waffles, I found a blond hair stuck to the plate. When notified, our hostess suggested the hair could me mine. After some convincing that south asians can't have a blond hair, she went back to kitchen & came back with a new explanation. She said all chefs either tie their hairs back or wear hats, so the hair that I found couldn't have come from their scalps. I told her I don't want to imagine from where else the hair would have come. She asked me if I was going to finish my entree or want another one. To that, I asked her to get me the check. When she returned, she informed me that my entree was taken off the check, in a tone that sounded like favor. On the way out, we were rudely reminded that payments are accepted at the table, not at the reception. Thanks to this treatment, I will never visit another IHOP in my life. read more

Okay, this was the WORST IHOP, and probably restaurant I've ever been to. First, it took 45 minutes to seat us when there were many tables available (at least 1/3 of the room) The hostess was extremely rude and didn't seem like she wanted to be there nor that she cared. Once we were finally seated, we found out that all of the deals that went with any usual IHOP were not available there, such as the 7 for $7 and coupons. The also didn't have classic IHOP favorites, such as crapes. So we ordered our food, and a short 50 minutes later, we received burn chicken fingers, a raw hamburger, and decent pancakes. As we were eating this less than mediocre meal, the owner, Issabella continued to shoot us glares as we watched her harass her employees saying "You work until I tell you to stop!" After this pleasant $40 dinning experience, we all went home and fought for the bathroom, as the food fought to come back up. This is the second time I've been to this restaurant and the second time this has happened. Next time, we will drive 45 minutes to go to the other IHOP. One star is too many. read more
