Giving this place one star is an under statement. I waited 40 minutes to be sat, and I wasn't even greeted at the door. The only reason I waited so long is because it was almost easier to do that then load the kid back up into the truck. The people working obviously didn't know much about their jobs as reorders were happening left and right. One table was sat and no drinks were asked for or brought to the table.. Worst service I have ever had. We were in for a late breakfast, waited forever for our server to come to the table then at least another 10 minutes for drinks. He took our order along with the our drink order. When the food came out we watched him take it to another table and walk away. When he went back and they told him it was not their food he then took it back to the kitchen and a few minutes later proceeded to bring it out to our table and thought we were going to eat it. Waited an hour past the initial 30-35 minutes that they told us it was going to be before we were seated. Extremely rude staff and when I expressed that I was pissed off about waiting an hour past the time she told us, she told us to find a different restaurant then. Compared to dennys this place rocks. Alot more choices for breakfast, took my son he had the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes I had a couple different kinds. Buttermilk blueberry and think it was a banana walnut. All are great service was good read more

Our server (Sam) was completely amazing!! We went on mother's day and it was completely busy (with only 3 servers- not fair to us as customers and totally not fair to the servers) but he was able to make our visit better. If we go again, I hope to have Sam as our server!! I can only give 3 stars because Management should not have allowed that to happen. read more

Took us about 10 minutes for someone to come up and sit us. Waiting about another 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 5 for an actual order. Our table did not have utensils and had to borrow from another table as waiter was not near. Did not have club soda as a drink option and lemonade was water down. The one utensil was all dirty and had butter. When we receive our food, all was good until it was time to pay. Waited longer to pay and their system was not working! tried two different cards they, had to reboot system. In total we spend about 40 minutes waiting and about 15 actually eating. read more

So i used to like coming to IHOP given in my hometown we don't have any nearby. However, today I had the worst experience. I had ordered chocolate chip pancakes and It wasn't the ones i was expecting so i had asked if I could have buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips instead of the all chocolate pancakes. The server looked at me like I was stupid and basically said "no it's not my fault, I'll have to charge you for the others". Okay I get It but your job is to clarify the food and I'm actually a server and the customer is always right. You NEVER make them feel stupid saying it's their fault for ordering something they thought was different. I asked for a manager and once I did the server sucked up to our table acting all sweet. What a shame you guys hire servers who act this way. Needless to say I'm never returning. read more

This is a good place to eat don't get me wrong but the time it takes them to get our food out was a long time. About an hour. We came here first than everybody else and the place got full. They got their food first and it still took them a while to get our food out. Overall the food was ok but the service was not ok. read more

I am beyond frustrated with trying to order from IHOP. First of all, I started to order on my phone online. It all went fine until it kept doubling one of my orders. Every time I would delete the extra item it would come back up. I finally got it to go away and tried to cash out to find that I cannot pay in cash which in itself is frustrating but whatever. I try to call in the order to the Grandville location, so I could pay in cash upon pickup, just for no one to answer. I called twice to no avail. So I said screw it and used my credit card. It wouldn't accept the first one claiming a wrong zip which is not true, but I tried a different one. This still did not go through it just said loading for a while until I gave up. I then proceeded to try and call the Grandville location again and after two more attempts, no one answered. In a last ditch effort I tried on my computer and after some of the same problems (loading forever and adding extra items), I finally got it to send. I have spent the last 45 mins to an hour trying to make an order and that is absolutely ridiculous. I understand that electronics and websites malfunction, but this all could have been solved quickly if someone from the Grandville location would have answered ONE of my four attempts to call over the span of 45 minutes. I understand they are busy but that is no excuse to miss four phone calls. Food is usually okay (if they remember to put everything in the bag). But definately not worth this hassle! Oh and to top it off I picked up my order, got home and half of it wasnt in the bag smh Overall I am very dissatisfied and will be choosing a different breakfast option next time. read more

The food was good! I have a big bitch though. Don't order mashed potatoes... As I understand it, none of the mashed potatoes come with gravy anymore? REALLY???? You guys are now charging extra for gravy on your mashed potatoes? That's really chinsey!!! We were in a bit of a hurry, and it did take a long time to get our food. All in all the food was good and that is the most important part, but you are going to lose people on charging extra for gravy. I've never heard of such a ridiculous thing! read more

This is coming from a perspective of a past employee rather than a customer. I got an interview and when I arrived, they didn't even do a formal one and asked basic questions, hired me on spot, asked for my size uniform and my phone number and told me they'd get back in contact only for it to take them almost a month to make a "training schedule" for me and took them a OVER A MONTH to get me my first paycgeck. I was a host when working here, was the only host hired in the whole time of me being there (mind you, I work at a restaurant now that has 2 servers on every shift) and sadly I had to work there during the holidays. They had me working every holiday - told me if I even tried to request it off without having a huge reason that they could consider firing me (mind you, that was my first holidays without a very close loved one and me + my family were still grieving) - didn't even give me a fucking break on the holidays (I was 17 working from 8am-5pm at LEAST on those holidays) and got so much disrespect from the managers and most staff. Now some of the servers are sweethearts, bless you folks, but never have I been put through the kind of hell these managers put me through. Left almost every shift crying and on the verge of walking out. No help, blamed for mistakes when you weren't properly trained and severely understaffed, and then talk sh*t about you. Waited over 5 minutes before being greeted while 2 employees were near by. Both times I've visited they have put me on a waiting list claiming they were very busy. I went in there about 1 am tiday with two other people. There were only two tables full. It took us a half our to seat us. And about ten minutes for drinks. It took them twenty minutes after that to even take our order. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and i had to keep asking for a refill. The host didn't come seat us for a solid 10 minutes (no one else was waiting and they weren't busy at all), the waitress didn't take our order for 20 minutes, and food was only mediocre. I paid $9 for a bacon cheeseburger and french fries and I had maybe a handful of fries and a small burger that was getting cold. The waitresses were also yelling across the restaurant to one another and talking loudly about inappropriate things. Needless to say I will NOT be eating there again. read more

Went on a Wednesday evening at 6. Kids' choice. Party of 7. They were using only half the restaurant, leaving many waiting for seating. Hostess disappeared for 15 minutes, leaving one couple just standing there. Still don't know if they ever got seated as we were finally ushered to seats. Just two waitresses handling all the service with hostess handling seating, drinks and bussing. Utensils had a lot of white residue. Mushrooms on the mushroom/Swiss burger were raw. $10 burger was flavorless. Hair in my food. Iced tea was instant. Considerable wait for food and had to finally ask for beverage refills. Another table had to ask where their food was after two other parties seated later were served ahead of them. Our waitress was kind and doing her best, but had far too much to manage. I didn't complain as she was already overwhelmed. $77 before tip for bland, subpar food. Go to Steak & Shake and spend half as much for better food. read more
