My 13 y/o daughter & her friend went out for breakfast this morning at this IHOP, a server dropped a plate resulting in a broken piece landing on her head. Her server, Alex was informed by my daughter's friend who then said, "sorry, are you ok?" then walked away & told another server who allegedly was the one who dropped the plate. At no point was a manager made aware or an incident report filed. My daughter's scalp was red & sore but she didn't want to bring any attention to it, so she left the establishment. Once she called me, I immediately picked her up & brought her back there to speak with a manager regarding the incident, insisting an report be filled out which is illegal of them not to have done so in the first place. The manager's name is Josh, he was unaware of the incident, I asked him to bring Alex into the conversation, she immediately became defensive stating, "yes, the plate broke, it was not glass, it was ceramic!" When I asked her what she thought ceramic was, she said, "well, what was I supposed to do?" & began to cry. At that point, Josh began to console her by rubbing her arm, she preceded to cry some more. She said she felt attacked! When my CHILD was the one who was injured! At that point, she ran away. The manager didn't say anything but, "I'll go get the paperwork to fill out the incident report." After we filled out the report, Josh informed me he'd fax it over to their insurance company who would then reach out to us. I then asked Josh to have Alex come back as I felt we were owed an apology. When she returned, it was more of the same, she continued to cry and when I told her there are protocols, she just shrugged her shoulders. I recommend to Josh in front of some of his staff that retraining would be in order as there is no protocol for when anyone but especially a child is injured. While we were waiting for an apology that never came, a customer who was waiting for a gift card to compensate an order that this IHOP "messed up" asked me, "did they really drop a piece of glass on your daughter's head?" We then spoke about the entire incident and how it was handled, although he was witnessing it all, along with the hostess there who all agreed it was nothing short of "white privilege." I feel like there was no real resolution and I'm really disappointed and disheartened by the adults involved. None of this is ok. read more

Went to this IHOP with family that came from out of town for my wedding recently. It was the WORST service I've ever gotten ANYWHERE in my life. We came in to a pretty empty restaurant, so we thought nothing of our kind of large party. We ordered our food and everything seemed fine. When our waitress brought our food, almost everything was wrong. When we told her this she for an attitude with us. We asked to see the manager, but apparently she was in the back cooking. There was so much that went wrong, it's hard to even remember and exhausting to have to try. The biggest problem was everyone's attitude problem. What? Am I really reviewing an IHOP. Then again, I'm in Greenville and the restaurant selection is... sparse. For what its worth, they have a decent value menu and offer up big portions for fairly decent diner food and are open during the times most places are closed. If you crave pancakes at night and are tired of waffle house, here's a place to chill. The staff was friendly and the crowd wasn't too ghetto. The only reason I'm giving one star is bc you have to give something to provide feed back. Last night was the community college graduation but bc it was the middle of the week our family was the only other group/table in the building. It took almost 30 minutes to take our drink order and if I hadn't asked it would've taken more than another 45 mins just to place our food order. A few people came in while we waited for out food and got up and left. Our food came out 2 plates at a time in 20-25 min increments. Most of the plates came out incorrect and when we spoke to the manager, Pamela Jarvis, she made several excuses. She sd they we're very busy but there were no more then 25-30 people in the whole restaurant with at least 7 servers 2 cooks and the manager. No excuse at all. She gave us all 50% off our checks but no one got what they ordered and my son in law had to get his to go bc after waiting 2 1/2 hours we were fed up. I will never go back there. read more

The waitress taking care of me seemed new and if she wasnt then that says a lot. But the waistresses were louder than everyone in the restaurant. I'm not a breakfast fan but having the opportunity to have a choice besides eggs and pancakes are phenomenonal. I'm a big fan burger fan and I was surprised that Ihop offered such a beautiful treat. Their Mega Monster Burger is grand. two juicy well seasoned patties, topped with fresh crisp lettuce tomatoes onions, ketchup and mayo. In between a toasted bun with American and mozzarella cheese. With a side of pure perfection their crispy onion rings. And a spear pickle. This is something that every burger fan should try at least once!!! read more

I will not be returning to this IHOP. The only reason we went was because I found a gift card that we had since 2014 with $35 on the card. Upon entering we asked the hostess if we could be seated at a table not a booth. We followed her to a table where she threw down the menus and went on her merry way. After waiting for our waitress to take our order a couple who came in after us and sat across from us was giving their waitress their order. The lady made a mention to her waitress that we had not been waited on. The waitress confirmed that we had not been waited on. She left to seek out our waitress. After a 5 minute wait she finally showed up and gave us to reason why she had not waited on us sooner. She took our order and then the wait began,30 minutes for our breakfast to come. The only reason it came when it did, that same waitress went back to find her and have her deliver our food. I'm a big IHOP fan. I just moved to Greenville from Cincinnati and have gone to this IHOP 6 times in two months. Twice I walked away before being seated. I stood at the register and after nobody came to seat me, I left. Of the four times I ate here, three times I left angry at the service. I remember waiting 20 minutes for the simple ham & egg melt sandwich once, and was convinced I had been forgotten. This morning the lady who seated me asked me what I wanted to drink. Black coffee and water took nearly ten minutes. I watched as she walked around, talked with co-workers. The food is as good as any other IHOP, but the service is horrible. Consistently horrible. I've never had the same waitress twice. And I'm one of the easiest, low-maintenance customers around. This store needs a new manager, at the least. read more

We go to IHOP all the time in different cities. This is by far the worst experience we've had. We visited this location on a Sunday morning around 11 with a group of 4. There was a 15 minute wait, but that was expected, bring a Sunday. When we got to our table, the drinks were served quickly and by the time the waitress came back, we were ready to order. I don't know if the kitchen was severely understaffed, or inexperienced, but it took over an hour for our food to come out. Two tables that were seated, and ordered, after us got their food before us. One person in our party had ordered the harvest grain pancakes and when buttermilk came out instead, the waitress said "I can have them cook up the right ones, but I have no idea how long that will take". I got the California scramble, which I have gotten at several other locations, but here, it was horrible. There was no cheese in the scrambled eggs, the avocado was so firm you could barely cut it with a knife, the potatoes were a pile of mush, and they forgot the pancakes that came with it. All in all, this was the worst IHOP experience I've ever had. I will never return to this location, and if you like good food, I suggest you don't either. read more

I'm not sure if they were having a slow day or what. My girlfriends birthday was today and the Ihop wasn't busy at all but took 15 min for our water and milk to come to the table then another 45 min for food to come. The food only came because we asked where it was. They said they would give a discount for the extra time and it was only %10 percent then the waitress was rude and seemed as if she didn't care when our food came. I wouldn't recommend this one. August 2014 IHOP is one of the Restaurants that has decent Chicken Tenders and French fries so that is what I order when I go to IHOP. One of the times My Boyfriend and I went, after they took our orders the Server came back to tell us they were out of their Chicken Tenders. After looking back over the Menu I ordered something else, but it was not as good as their Chicken Tenders. My first time using online ordEring at this restaurant. I chose a specific pickup time for my order but my food wasn't ready when I got there. After waiting 10 min the kitchen reported that they didn't have a ticket for my order. After another 10 min they brought out only half of my order. Tonight was my first time ever eating at iHop. I myself am a server, I'm very attentive to what my server at the time has going on! My server, Nicole, was as sweet as could be even though she was the only server on the floor since they didn't schedule anyone else? She had two parties over 7, a 4 top, my friend and myself. I can hear, "runner" in the back. Knowing she is the only one on the floor. There was no management help. We could see her walking around, but we noticed Nicole was still struggling and had to keep asking for help as the manager. The food was warm, not hot, probably because Nicole had no help and brought it out to us as soon as she could. The food was good despite it not being as hot. Visited this place on Christmas Eve and the service times were ridiculous. Had to ask for the food several times and never got everything!

The IHOP is under new management. The assistant manager came by our table to see how our meal was. He had some friendly conversation while letting us know his goals for improvements. He was greeting customers, helping get food out, and seating customers. My favorite waitress Cindy Lou came by frequently to make sure my water was filled and my ice tea was full. The Ultimate Steak Burger was great. I had egg in my burger. Yummy. The fries were crispy and hot. A great dining experience. My friend ordered the patty melt with raw onion. They were respectful to all clients. I learned they had an APP so you can order and pick up food. Great music. I will be back!! Thank you IHOP for your great customer service!! read more

I really wanted to love this Ihop location being that it's the only location in Greenville. However, the low sanitation score of 91 should be the first thing to scare you. The score should be lower, truth be told. I went one time and there was a bug in my food. After months of not going to ihop because of slow service and sketchy food, my friend and I decided to give it another chance tonight. This time (my official final time) I showed them the hair in my plate that unfortunately for me was placed under my omelette, meaning that I ate some of it, and they still made me pay for the entire meal. If I could give this service zero stars I would, they were not busy at all and we had such poor service. I ordered an omelet with 3 pancakes and only got two pancakes, which may I mention were half the size of the plate, the waitress never came to check on us and just brought us the check, my omelet was not cooked all the way, and they put way to much spinach and onions in it. Yelp deleted original review.. I was in 2 weeks ago and ordered the swedish style crepes (2 orders), and a side of over medium eggs. The restaurant's name is International House Of Pancakes.. So how the heck are they burning crepes, and we're not talking a little dry or overdone... I'm talking blackened and crunchy. The egg yolks were completely dry too.. For those who don't know (like the cooks at IHOP in Greenville) a "MEDIUM" egg is whites done, and yolk runny. That's right it's a timing thing, kind of like not burning crepes all to hell.. I would say the server was the only saving grace, but not really as she knew the food was wrong by the color of the crepes alone and still delivered it to the table.. Now I'm not one to complain about food at the restaurant because well I've seen the movie "Waiting" and I also worked in restaurants in my 20's. so I've seen things..... I choked down that dry ass burnt breakfast since it was costing me $16 of the combined bill with my roommate, and I won't be back. read more
