I am only rating 2 stars because the server was amazing to us.I came to this IHOP expecting a normal meal experience with my family, but what I witnessed completely ruined it. The biggest issue wasn't even the food at first, it was the way the manager treated one of the servers her name was also Brianna and we bonded over that, she was great to us, but this was all because she didn't pour our coffee for us and instead placed it on the table for us, my thing is, what if we didn't want it to be poured? what a shame. He started mistreating her because she informed him that she wasn't aware that was supposed to be done. We could clearly hear him from the kitchen saying she needed to be retrained, and he was constantly yelling at her throughout her shift. It was uncomfortable and honestly upsetting to hear. You could see the frustration and embarrassment on her face, and no employee deserves to be treated like that in front of customers. I even spoke to her and offered her a job at a clinic where I work, but she said she couldn't because she's still in school. That alone tells you she's trying, and instead of being supported, she's being torn down. As someone who is a CEO and understands management, I can confidently say the leadership here is terrible. It's toxic, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. On top of that, the service itself was slow. The cook took forever, which only made the situation worse. She kept coming to check on us and made sure we were okay, if we could've tipped more we definitely would've to make up for the embarrassment this young girl went through. Overall, this place has serious issues, starting with management. I truly hope that young server finds a better work environment, because she deserves it. The service is horrible! Understaffed, rude dirty waitresses, asked to clean table and she said they were already clean and there was a dead fruit fly and garbage on the table. We were seated under a moldy ac unit that had been leaking on my family. Everyone at the table was displeased. It was over 40 mins until we were served with water. Asked for mgr and he assured me that was 2 eggs. I've eaten there several times. Never ever ever have I received such a small portion size. We came back again this morning at their new location , the parking lot was full , waiting area sitting was full , but it was worth the wait , less than 15 minutes we sat down , service was fast our hostess was friendly and got our order perfectly.I had the breakfast sampler , side order of onion rings. The the eggs were just the way I asked sausage w bacon , ham and has browns were good , I loved the onion rings fried to perfection they were definitely delicious, my wife protein lemon ricotta pancakes she said they looked amazing , other than a little bit of soft batter in the center , they were delicious she said they were thick and just the way she likes them , she has them all the time . Of course I've been to IHOP like a hundred times, but this is my first review. I took my daughter to eat here on her birthday 12/29 and we enjoyed it. We had Chicken and Waffles, Cupcake Pancakes, and my Ham Omelette. We had the best server! She was sweet, extremely nice and very warm. Somehow this made the food taste better! I haven't received such attentive service since I dined at the Versace mansion in Miami Beach. He would consistently check on me and my daughter and I appreciate that so much! Walked into the iHop, it's very outdated. I thought the ventilation system hasn't been cleaned and had dust hanging from it but my boyfriend it is just rusted out. I didn't get a closer look. The bathrooms, again outdated, the toilet in the female restroom was not even on the toilet seat all the way-- tighten or get a new seat? The service was ok. The place was extremely busy. I ordered water and their pancake breakfast. It took a while for it to come out, which is not usual for iHop, I feel like they are fast! Additionally, not sure if this was because of COVID measures but they stuck everything on an open plate- creamer, sugar, salt and pepper. The packets looked like someone took their greasy fingers and touched every single one. I let the waitress know and instead of refreshing the plate, she picked out the packets and brought new salt and pepper ones to the table. Food was pretty food. The boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy and thought it was lacking some gravy. Service wasn't bad, there wasn't a wait time to sit. All the booths have plastic dividers and each booth is used. One customer walked up and down the restrooms with her mask around her chin, not covering their nose/ mouth-- for those Covid conscious. If I lived here, I probably wouldn't come here again. Service was pretty quick. Food was good. Biggest complaint is the size of this place. Super small I think 20 families will completely fill the place. We got seated right next to the kitchen/drinks so I would get random smells of the wet towels which wasn't too pleasant. I have a 3 year old who does great in high chairs but I preferred to sit him in a booster between myself and my other son because I felt like the high chair would completely block people from getting by. The worst service possible service. I guess they were understaffed or really busy but there are three servers. Are server greeted us brought waters and walked by, checked food, walked by, checked food and walked by. I had to ask her twice can you take our orders! The first time she said she was busy, the second time she took our orders 30 mins after getting our waters. It's been 55 mins and we still haven't got food our food is just sitting. Amanda was our server. She approached our table after we were seated and took our drink order. We had to move tables since the one we were sitting at originally smelled like a bum had urinated in it. After we told her why we moved, you would think she would do something about it. Instead, she just kept on about her business. We placed our order and found it weird that she wasn't writing it down. It was five of us and we ordered the appetizer sampler to start and a bunch of breakfast plates. We asked her why she wasn't writing it and she said she would remember the order. Yeah right. My we got 4 plates of the 5 and no appetizer sampler. Missing pancakes and toast on one of the orders and she didn't even realize the kids needed refills. Amanda had completely forgot my daughter's order and the sampler as well. My daughter got her food after we were all done eating and then the sampler came which we ended up packing up and taking it to go. I mean last time I checked, the appetizers are eaten before the meal. She avoided us throughout the meal and checked on us once! We end up here all the time because the food is actually very good and the cooks know what they are doing. The service lacks though. Happy we are moving back to Kendall to our regular IHOP.
