I would be hesitant giving a 5/5 star rating for an IHOP, but since the owner is almost always present when I stop in, I figured it was worthy. In most chain locations, the owner is nowhere to be found. If you are looking for a gourmet meal, then look elsewhere. This place is good enough for anyone to have a satisfying experience. Parking / Entrance: Usually there is plenty of parking and I have never encountered a problem. Lot looks clean and seems safe. The landscaping could use some work though. If there is a waiting time, there is plenty of seating in front to kill time. Usually, it is only a 10 minute wait, no matter how long they quote. They do call-ahead seating in advance during busy times. Owner: This guy is always at the register handling money and asking how everything was. He looks at people in the eye when conversing as well. If there is any problems, he takes care of it through discounts or rectifying in other ways. Right there is why I frequent this location and it goes a long way. Wait Staff: Usually when I come here, the wait staff is decent. Last time, the service was slow, but in general, it is adequate. Some of the employees dont look like IHOP waiters, but I guess a job is a job. I honestly dont know how they make good tip money. Table: Every IHOP has a metal cage like monstrosity that holds an advertisement and four flavors of syrups. It just gets in the way and dirty. They offer wrapped utensils, and everything always appears clean. However, the booths are clean but always smell like a dirty dishrag. Menu: This is your standard IHOP menu that is offered. No free refills on orange juice, but refills on coffee, tea, soda and specialty drinks. It always irks me that they took the same stock photos on the menu, and photoshopped different toppings on the images. They also allow anyone of all ages to order from kids/senior menu. Food: Pancakes, waffles and french toast is the same as any other IHOP. However, I do believe the chicken and waffles are the best at this location. I dont know if it is fresh grease they fry in, or updated microwaves for the food, but they are a must order during any visit. I have gotten many menu items here, without any complaints. Pricing: Very reasonable pricing, especially with the 15% online coupon. This is consistent with the competitors and have no problem paying. Usually, between my girlfriend and I, breakfast here costs us about $20, including tip. Conclusion: This is definately the IHOP to visit if you live between two locations, like I do. I have not had a bad meal here, unlike the Rt.46 location. Come in and have a meal, any problems, the owner is right there. Party of six for breakfast. We waited 15 minutes to take beverage order/be greeted by waitress. I had to approach the greeter to get our waitress to come. Waitress never checked back for refills on beverages through the whole meal. Ran out of coffee before our meal came. Took 30 minutes to get meal. Food was dry and crusty, butter melted. from sitting under heat lamps so long. Over-easy eggs were cooked over well done. Food did not come at once, had to wait 5 minutes for complete order to arrive at table once food was originally brought. Waitress complained that she was busy, but when we arrived the restaurant was mostly empty. Arrived 7:51 AM, alerted greeters at 8:10 AM that no one had seen us yet. Order taken 8:15 AM. Received food around 8:45 AM. No beverage refills, overcooked and stale food. We have a limited budget, and take our family out for breakfast less than six times per year. I feel this was a wasted trip. Also, this was the second time we had went to the Kenvil IHOP where we had to wait almost 15 minutes before anyone took our beverage order. Check had automatic 15% gratuity, I asked manager to remove. Manager took 35% discount off our bill. His emotionless "sorry" did little to make our dissappointment lessen.
