I loved ihop in South Bend Indiana. One opened here in Maricopa and we went on a Monday night about 7pm. It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Service was awful. They were not too busy but the table of people across from us had 3 seated customers and 3 servers returning time after time to the table. It took half an hour to get drinks then another 45 minutes to get our food. The food was over cooked and dry. Never was brought a refill of ice tea. We were so disappointed that we have never gone back. Really don't want to waste time or money read more

I've not been impressed with this location at all. Ive been a few times and the quality of the food is disappointing based on other ihop experiences. My sausage and gravy was very skimpy. My eggs were rubbery and over cooked. My hashbrowns were dry and overcooked. The waitress brought the check right after she brought the food and only came to the table once. read more

Best service! Went today for brunch on a date with my honey, our waiter was Carlos, amazing personality, really lifted all of our spirits. With that being said he made sure we had everything we needed, drink refills, sides everything. Best waiter I've probably ever had. Full of jokes and smiles all around. Definitely deserved a big tip. Super disrespectful to all the servers every single one of them are snobby and rude. They don't help at all. I've never worked in such a hostile environment before, this place made me want to commit suicide almost everyday and that is all due to managers. On Friday May 24th 2019 we decide to have lunch after a promotion to celebrate, we arrived at 1000 am. Our waiter took our order around 1015, we waited for 45 minutes and then we spoke to the manager since we didn't receive our food. She stated they were short staffed, ok we understand. So we decided to stay a while and wait it out. Other families and couples arrived after we did were being served their food. My boyfriend and I have gone to this IHOP for the second time today, months apart from our first time at this location. Some how, both times my boyfriend ordered chicken and when he cut into them each time, they were pink. Today we showed the waitress the chicken and they immediately apologized and got a second one fully cooked and served, exactly like last time. The service has been great both times, just not the pink undercooked chicken. If you go to this location be cautious of the chicken, especially if you have kids ordering the chicken. Terrible. Ordered on the phone for pick up. One item. I was told 15 minutes and I even waited awhile to leave the house so I don't have to wait. I get there and wasn't exactly greeted in the warmest manner. I said I ordered on the phone. Worker (Cheyenne) said, "you ordered on the phone??" Looking confused. Another employee (may have been supervisor?) whispered that I'll be helped in a minute. I stood there and waited for another worker to get off the phone with a customer while there were a total of 4 workers up front. Once the worker got off the phone, she asked if I've been helped. I replied, "sort of.. I ordered on the phone." She let me know the order hasn't even been put in yet. Even letting me know that there would be a longer wait time on the phone would have been nice. Staff is super unorganized and unfocused. The host sat us at a table that was not hospitable. She tried sitting us next to a huge family just because it was the table with silverware. Keep in mind I'm on a date with my husband. Then she forgot the take out drink order, so we waited for 20 minutes and finally flagged someone down. She was happy to take our drink order but when I asked her if we could order our food cause we where ready, she said we couldn't order our food without a server..... SERIOUSLY... I'm thinking. So I ask her if she could go and get them because we were waiting for a long time. When the server came out and took our order he apologized and said our server wasn't available at the moment. He also asked us for our order twice and I could tell he just didn't get it the first time. He left. 5 minutes later another serve asked us what we would like to order. I told him we already did. And that I flagged someone down *hint. He explained himself and walked away. Another 5 minutes later another employee comes up to confirm out order and let is know that if we made it a combo it would be cheaper. She was helpful but.... it was to much. She was trying to hard to win us over and it came off as awkward. I wanted to ask them if they where hiring managers because they really need one. On top of it all.... I had placed an order to go through IHOP's mobile app yesterday morning. While I know Sunday's are busy breakfast mornings, the app said my food would be ready at 10:37 (I ordered at 10:15). I showed up at 10:30 and my food was not ready yet, which was fine since I was early. However by 10:50 my food had still not come out. The hostess asked another server to check on my food again and she bagged it up. While the hostess was very friendly, she quickly went through my order and had she read the whole receipt she would have seen that I was missing my corned beef hash and toast. I didn't realize this until I got home and double checked the receipt and food. The food was also cold so I'm sure it was sitting there for a while before being brought out. I called back to the restaurant to tell them they forgot two items of my order but she said I had to talk to a manager. I was on hold about 5 minutes before I decided to just hang up and contact online customer service instead. We love to eat at IHOP. But this particular one is not ok. Today we went with the family, and when we got seated our server didn't show up. So two other servers came up to us and asked for what drinks we wanted. Then finally our server came and she took our order. One of our drinks was stained with milk. Then we waited for our food. We waited one hour, we asked when our food would come and the server said in a few minutes. We had to ask a manager to get our food and 30 minutes later we got our food, and mine had a hair on it. Dirty tables, no routine of service. Seems nobody trained the employees. So much potential due to the lack of true restaurants in Maricopa. Overall they have good service. However, it seems as the busier they get, the more the service declines. The food is always really good no matter how busy they are. Sometimes the service isn't that great, and I have to wait several minutes longer than normal sometimes. But overall this is one of the better restaurants I've been to. read more

Same old story in Maricopa. A new restaurant opens , for the first two weeks great food great service. After that they don't give a damn about you! They take advantage of the lack of options in this town. 5:00 pm only one server . no sight of management. Ordered food 30 minutes ago. Had to ask the server to check on it. Our order came out about 5 minutes later. The meat in my Colorado omelette was terrible. Cold, dried out and clearly made early in the day and kept well beyond its acceptable hold time. I requested no onion and it came with a ton! I originally went in for soup and Out of five options not one was available. The two stars are for the server who did the best she could with the absolute lack of support from anyone else. If the manager is not going to help out they should definitely put more servers on. it is absolutely freezing in here I have beenshivering since we walked in . I didn't ask to have the ac turned down because i figured it's was up so high for the server who was running her ass off. We will drive to chandler from now on read more

This IHOP was overall pretty good. The food was great and was made quicker than most sit down restaurants. The only reason that it isn't 5 stars is that the star often doesn't come back to your table often and seems to be always occupied, so I can normally never get a refill or something that I need/ need to fix. I have been to this store twice since it opened. Both visits were a totally positive experience. The first time it was extremely busy and we still were served quickly. The servers are very friendly and very concerned regarding the food they served. I will be a regular. Before they came into Maricopa I used to go to the Casa Grande location. They could take lessons from this store. The food there was okay but we could have been their only customer and we would always have to wait for our food. You are doing it right Maricopa.
