2 by 2 Deal with Ham and Gruyere sandwich and I forgot name of salad.

Really liked the juice, Morning Meditation with Immunity Boost. Coffee and Mimosa is a good start too. The menu offers your basic breakfast options and some less than usual. The best, iyam, are the Avocado Toast because they put a good amount of smashed avocado on top of the toast and it's served with two eggs cooked to your liking. I also like the Trifecta with the waffle, two eggs, choice of meat, waffle. Assorted goodness. They also have delicious Salads and really tasty Sandwiches. Service varies, but typically we have had good to exceptional service. Sadly our more recent visit was not up to par. The young lady taking care of our table seemed distracted. Items ordered lagged, when it did arrive it was not cooked as specifically requested. Item was sent back and replacement came less desirable than the one delivered previously. When it came time to drop the check she asked me and my friend if we had coffee. By the process of elimination AND by glancing at the table she could've easily seen three coffee cups, placed in front of those that did order and were drinking coffee. Again, service is generally good and attentive. It was just unfortunate we we seated in this servers station. Oh, and the parking lot here can be chaotic. Pack your patience.

This is hands down my favorite First Watch location in Mesa! I always look forward to trying the seasonal menu items here because there's always something new that's both eye-catching and mouthwatering. The restaurant itself is always clean and lively, and I didn't have to wait at all to be seated during my visit. Our server, Stephany, was super friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I both went for the seasonal options: * Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich (Million Dollar Bacon, sausage patty, cage-free eggs, pickled jalapeños, aged Cheddar, and bacon apricot jam on a buttery croissant round with seasoned potatoes). * Honey Chipotle Chicken Hash (chipotle-glazed chicken, bacon, peppers, onions, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, potato hash, eggs, Cotija, pickled red onions, avocado, lime crema, and scallions). Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The apricot jam on the croissant sandwich paired perfectly with the spicy jalapeño, and the chipotle hash had the ideal balance of savory and sweet. First Watch is always a great choice!

Always a go to spot. Lots of seats but sometimes a short wait, go on the website to get in line early. Great service and really well made food with fresh ingredients. Seasonal menus every quarter makes for a new experience. Love their fresh juices and many healthy options (not just substitute egg whites). My dad and I have a tradition going here after Pats Run.

The Yelp for the Dobson location states dogs allowed (likely on patio).

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED, EVEN ON PATIO. Absolutely disappointed by this location. Their Yelp shows that dogs are allowed, and past reviews on Google reviews even discuss customers bringing their dogs to this location. We were turned away before even making it to the door by a hostess with the manager right behind her for backup. We were told only service dogs are allowed, even on the patio. Please update your Yelp information to state this as it is very misleading and very inconvenient to drive all the way out here to be turned away on miscommunication.

My first time in Mesa location! I've been to the Tempe ASU first watch for many times. Both locations have good food and nice vibe. Sometimes Tempe location was slow with the food serving tho but I still like to go. It's been a long time since I have been to first watch. When I opened their menu, I was surprised by their price--after the egg price went up and all the other places raised their prices, first watch still kept their very reasonably priced menu. I believe it was around 12-13 for this huge plate of omelette. And the food is as good as before. The omelette is fluffy and filled with bacon and avocado. The bread is buttered in the kitchen. I tried my very best but I still couldn't finish the whole plate. I will always recommend a casual brunch with friends at first watch! And now, I would even recommend the mesa location a little bit more. You can even go to the Costco nearby after finishing brunch

Stopped in for a quick Easter breakfast. We were greeted & seated promptly. Our server was friendly and efficient. I went for the healthy turkey omelette, and my husband ordered the trifecta. Everything came out cooked to perfection. A go-to spot if you're looking for a consistent, quick but delicious brunch.

This is a fun breakfast spot that I definitely recommend! The service was attentive and kind, which made us feel really welcomed. It wasn't too busy, even for a Thursday morning, so we never felt rushed. I ordered the Parma skillet and it was really good--flavorful, hearty, and perfectly crispy and soft. While I didn't try any drinks or juices this time, they looked super fun and creative. I definitely recommend!

The service was fast, we were seated right away for a party of 2, and the waffle had the perfect crunch. The meal was a little basic, but the bacon and good drink made up for it.

    Birthday Breakfast with mom

I took my mom out for a birthday brunch after her doctor's appointment, and we decided to try First Watch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, service was good and it was perfect for our special occasion. My mom sampled the breakfast special from their holiday menu; the Steak & Eggs, which she said were cooked to perfection, while I opted for the Chicken & Gruyere Omelette, It was originally Ham, but I don't eat pork! Potatoes were okay, but the toasts didn't come with butter. A little bummed about that, but oh well. We also had the coffee with hazelnut - a delightful touch! Overall, it was a lovely experience, not perfect, but I still recommend it for a casual yet delicious brunch.

We found this place (on Yelp of course) and couldn't be more pleased with this choice. Caitlin, our server, was delightful, on point with the food and drink and just an amazing server. The place was packed, but the wait was pretty much non-existent. You cannot go wrong with any of the food. I got the chicken fried steak, red potatoes, over medium eggs and rye toast. She got the homemade sausage (to die for) with sourdough and we also got a side order of the pancakes. Everything was perfect. We will definitely make our way back when we are in the Mesa area!

So far, we've been able to try different places during each visit. I came across Wildberries while researching breakfast spots and saw that they had good reviews. We were there on a weekday for a late breakfast. The place is popular. While they were doing a brisk business, I can only imagine what it must be like on the weekends. Upon entering, we were immediately seated and greeted. It's clear from looking at their decor and menu (they also serve lunch) that it is a Greek-owned place. They have daily specials written on a portable sign board, and they take it from table to table so diners can see what's on special that day. Our only complaint was that service was very slow. Our server took our order after we looked at the signboard. I ordered a daily breakfast special that consisted of cinnamon French toast, 2 eggs (I chose over easy), and a choice of meat (I chose bacon). My husband ordered Eggs Benedict off the regular menu. It consisted of two poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and hash browns. To drink, I had lemonade, and my husband had orange juice and coffee. Like all the other customers, we had a long wait for food. It had us wondering if the back of the house was short-staffed. When the food finally came out, we both enjoyed our meals. The cinnamon French toast was so good on its own that I forgot about the syrup that accompanied it. The eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed his Eggs Benedict. Wildberries is in a small strip shopping center, and parking is tight. If you are heading west on Baseline, you have to make a left at the light at S. Ext Street, then a left into the lot. On the way out, heading east, make a left out of the lot onto Baseline.

I really wish it were easier to find breakfast joints with organic coffee but it can be a bit difficult to find in certain areas, such as the east valley area. This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. This is the first place I've been in a long time that gives my eggs a run for their money.

My family and I ordered family style so we can try everything. For starters, we ordered the milk bread, fire roasted bone marrow, spicy peanut and tomato salad, and the tuna pineapple ceviche. I might say this multiple times in my review, but the food was very delicious and the description of the food was very interesting however it all blended so good in my mouth. The milk bread was topped with a miso tomato butter with almond and kalamata. Sounds interesting right? But when you actually tasted it, it was delicious! Who knew to bring such ingredients together to make this?! The softness of the bread and the saltiness from the butter complimented it so well! The fire roasted bone marrow was served with sourdough toast with a jalapeno marmalade with demi sauce. I never had bone marrow, however I met people who either liked it or choose not to try it, but this time I decided to try it. Who knew how soft and buttery bone marrow was?! The spicy peanut and tomato salad was very refreshing, however I wished it was a little bigger in size. The dressing was a peanut dressing, similar to a thai peanut dressing salad. The tuna pineapple ceviche had pineapple with tuna served with plantain chips. It was hot in Arizona and this dish kept it very refreshing to eat. For entrees, my family and I ordered the lemongrass half chicken, campfire seabass, ancho chili glazed pork chop, and the bone in ribeye. The lemon grass chicken was served with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with jalapeno jam. The chicken was so juicy and you can taste the lemon grass marinated in the chicken. Again, jalapeno jam? What a genius! The campfire seabass was in this chorizo broth along with couscous and vegetables. I honestly can not review much regarding the campfire seabass because I didn't taste, but per my grandma she said it was really good haha! The ancho chili glazed pork chop was surprisingly not dry! I don't really eat pork chops, but our server recommended it and she did not disappoint! The bone in ribeye was delicious!! Super juicy and flavorful! It was served with baby potatoes, arugula, and chimichurri. Filthy animal is definitely a fun spot, the decor inside made the whole ambiance very intimate.

Our visit started out poorly because we spent 30 minutes driving around looking for a place to park. The front desk sent us to a valet that didn't exist and we almost left. My husband persisted and we finally found a spot. But it took way too long driving around in circles. After that drama, We had a pretty fast dinner but I really enjoyed it. First drinks. My husband got a cocktail. I wanted to order a mocktail but they didn't have a mocktail menu or any non alcoholic drinks anywhere. The waiter tried to describe them but that didn't work. Please get a menu. Ended up with lemonade bc I didn't know what to order. We ordered the tuna ceviche appetizer with plantain chips. I don't normally order things with chips but It was delicious! Great spicy kick and definitely the best thing I ate. Loved it. For dinner I ordered the lamb. I also really enjoyed this so much. The lamb was delicious (a bit unseasoned though). Also the garbanzo dish that came with it was unbelievably great! I was actually amazed that a side could be so good and I just wanted more of it. My husband ordered the seabass. Unfortunately it was underseasoned and way overcooked. The side wasn't great either. He ended up eating one of my lamb pieces. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Will return if I ever want to brave the parking situation again ! Side note for the business: the door on your last bathroom stall was installed backwards. I struggled inside bc there was no hook for my purse or sweater when I went in there. After I was done precariously balancing all my things on my lap, I found the hook outside the door (I checked and the other doors were installed correctly). Probably should fix that bc it was very annoying for women that need access to their purse in the bathroom.

Food: hefty breakfast sandwich w/ sausage, cream ala creme (biscuit & fruit), BHH French toast w/ bacon. The sammy was made w/ three eggs so it was a large sammy, kinda messy. I think they need to spread out the eggs a bit more so they cover more space & don't slip out from between the bun as easily. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. The French toast was also a hefty serving, especially w/ the bacon tacked on. The biscuit came out w/o the whipped cream, but the young gentleman quickly brought it out when I pointed out it was M.I.A. It was not as sweet as I was expecting; not sure I'd get that again. They do have alcohol as well for those who like a boozy brunch. As for the food, I judge places by their biscuits and gravy... And this was one of my favorites. The biscuit was juicy, buttery perfection and the gravy was real, not the bland packet gravy some places use. The bacon came out at the exact crispness for the best melt in your mouth bite, and they were huge pieces. The hashbrowns were good, nothing fancy though. Eggs cooked perfect (over easy for me). I also got the mocha iced latte and it was very chocolate forward, not much coffee flavor, but still tasty. My only complaint, and I mean ONLY complaint, is that price point. I spent $25 for the biscuits and gravy with a coffee and left hungry. I think had they given me two biscuits instead of just one, maybe that would fix everything. Nevertheless, I do recommend trying this place out

Each TV in the bar has the teams attached to it. And then each table has a map with the giant TV wall behind the bar, so you can see which TV is playing which game. As someone who cares a lot about this, it was a highlight of my visit. - their beer prices can't be beat - our server was great and super attentive, even when a huge rush hit, she always had us taken care of Not necessarily bad, just not the highlights: - on the final weekend of regular season NFL, with multiple playoff implications games being aired, they stuck with the Cardinals sound, despite the restaurant being filled with tons of Bears and Broncos fans. I would have taken the sound to literally any other game, rather than the Cards. I get it's the home team, but it was a throwaway game and other games were critical, and the fan bases were there. - the food wasn't great. The mozzarella sticks could have been really good, but two of the four were dripping in grease and we couldn't really eat them. The other two were delicious.

My drink was good, but this time it was heavier on the lemonade & not the cranberry juice. We always order the pretzel bites & queso. This time the cheese sauce was a bit spicy. We kept waiting for them to come out, but we didn't have them when our meals came. Our server didn't put them in. We had her put them in anyway. They also had a lot of table salt on them this time. Hubby got the traditional wings with blue cheese dressing. I got the fish sandwich and onion rings. I really wanted a fish sandwich. Theirs comes with jalapeño tater sauce. I don't like the taste of jalapeño & I don't like spice. I ordered mine with Mayo & pickles. Hubby liked his wings. I took one bite & spit it out because the fat wasn't rendered. The blue cheese dressing was good & had crumbled blue cheese on top. My fish sandwich was okay. It was a bit over cooked & greasy. The onion rings were okay. Service was super slow as we waited awhile for to go boxes & then again for the check. We will take a break from here for a little while. That's my biggest problem with restaurants; no consistency!
