All IHOP's are pretty much the same food wise so what sets one apart from the others is the cleanliness and the service. From the first looks this place was pretty clean considering that it is a very busy restaurant. Restrooms were clean so that's always a good sign of how the place is. Let's get to service. We'll the service we got here was pretty good. Our waitresses was Karla V. She was quick, professional and was attentive to our needs. This place just can't get it right. On occasion you have the one gem of an employee. The rest are dreadful. It's a shame, like south Jersey seems to breed incompetence. I came to have some brunch with my sister and our children. It was a very hot day and we both had newborn babies. There was a wait so we had to wait it out in the heat. The hostess Ciara truly made an impact on our experience. She offered a fan for our little ones and she even made sure we sat in a cool place while we enjoyed our meal. She even can back to our table and made sure we were comfortable and explained how she really cared about how we feel and that we were ok. We need more people like her in the work force! read more

Your average run-of-the-mill IHOP. Service was good and quick and I was able to enjoy my meal while I was working. Had the hearty ham and cheddar omelette. Didn't realize there was a cheese sauce IN the omelette til it came oozing out, but it was a nice good surprise since I love me some cheese =p. Ok, so, I have NOOOOO idea what those people with the negative reviews are talking about lol.. I've been here twice.. I'm from North Jersey and my first time here was a year ago. There's like NO good food in A.C and being a chef myself I know I can be hard to woo but it's not THAT hard lol. 1st time the food was beyond good.. we loved it.. but I said hey they just had a good day.. 2nd time today and the food was better than last time! Then they have the nerve to have good customer service lol who do they think they are? Chic-fila?! Hands down top 3 IHOP's in NEW JERSEY. Listen I get that it's thanksgiving and all but come on smh the food I ordered online was cold as ever, I ordered crispy potato cakes and it felt and tasted like it was put in a microwave. Pros: Lots of parking and tables compared to other IHOPs. Friendly staff. Depending on what you order it's hit or miss. Juices are great! Cons: Food is almost always served at room temperature and never hot. Have to wait too long for waiters/waitresses to get stuff for you because they are overworked and understaffed. If you order food that's a miss, you're not going to be happy. I'd stay away from the dinner foods. Stick with breakfast foods here. Coffee is watered down and weak. read more

I was staying in AC and figured hm....ihop. how bad could it be. The food would be mediocre at best and I was sure service would be nothing to write home about. Well.....I walked in with two others and they told us it would be a 10-15 min. wait. I look over and see an empty table. Knowing we are the next group I ask the GROUP of hosts (there were at least 4 of them at the stand standing around talking to each other and making me feel uncomfortable) Cant we sit at that table? They told me no a party is coming in of 40 and they need that room. This room where the table was had about 15 other tables. When I asked the "hosts" I got the biggest attitude from them....unreal ! Not to mention the dirty looks I was getting too. I talk to the manager and he says a group is coming in but not till 330. It was 2pm. Do they think its going to take us an hour and a half to eat?? Come on !!! Also what about all the others in the room? Surely we can eat while they do with enough time to accommodate a party coming in an HOUR AND A HALF..... Finally they sit us...yes at that table...thanks to the manager trying to salvage the situation. The customers here are rude too. They blast music from their phones and the wait staff seems to think that's the norm but someone like me who wanted to come in there to eat food gets a big ole tude. I actually couldn't hear the other two in my party when they talked to me and I had to YELL my order to the waitress. When the food came I had to remind them of things I ordered. My husband and I stopped at this IHOP after leaving Atlantic City and I really wanted some pancakes. We were seated very quickly and our server was at our table in about 10 minutes. It was very busy in this restaurant. Jackie, our server, was very friendly and attentive. She brought our food to our table in about 15 minutes and the only thing that had to back were the pancakes that came with my husband's order. They were a lot over cooked. He could barely cut them. Jackie rectified this problem within minutes, 4 minutes to be exact. I had the Bananas Foster French Toast with eggs, bacon and hash browns. My husband had pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. Great breakfast option if you're coming back from the AC area. Came here Christmas morning to find a packed house enjoying pancakes and coffee. This location has plenty of parking - attached to a shopping plaza. The service was good and efficient despite it being a holiday and the staff was clearly short handed. Our waitress was excellent - being that my dad is on a strict health diet - she made sure his food requests were prepared correctly. Went to iHop and usually never happy. So I why am surprised I am not happy again. Currently trying to watch what I eat so going healthy at iHop I order the spinach omelette. Happy to see it comes with fruit and under 350 calories. Not bad. Asked for a bowl of oatmeal, and no luck. Are you kidding me? I guess i won't be back unless I want nasty pancakes with fake maple syrup. In four flavors no less. I did write iHop and they sent my advice to the Menu Development Team. How hard is it to add oatmeal? Quaker Oats....make a call a good opportunity to sell some of your oats. Boiling water, oatmeal, stir, salt to taste....hate to say it......Done! When ever I'm in South Jersey...This is my IHOP. Their service was on point & the food was great & hot. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I asked to substitute the eggs for hash browns with my combo meal & the server never bothered to ask management if it was ok. Instead she told me it would be an up charge. This is the first I've ever heard of this. I have an allergy to eggs (absolutely unfair in life) so I didn't want to overdo it since I K OW eggs help make the pancakes. Other than that, This is still my IHOP!!! read more

Last two times i have been here have been full of mixed emotions. First time we had a rude server who seems extremely uninterested. He rushed to get our orders and did not even check if our order was correct. When our food was brought he was extremely rude and gave us our check a couple minutes after. So Sarah and I would sit there, and talk about Kids in the Hall and our dreams of opening a movie theater, and I would eat my pancakes, perfectly, utterly content. I loved those cakes because the PAN part of that word really was irrelevant--these were cakes: chocolate, with whipped cream, and tons of other junk. And I loved them. This past weekend, I went to Atlantic City, NJ, aka: "America's Pride", "The Jewel of the East", "The Town That Will Teach You What it Feels Like When your Heart Cries". The wait for a table can take 10-15 minutes sometimes, but it's well worth it.
