It didn't taste particularly smoky like chipotle, but it delivered a solid, building heat that I really enjoyed. The star of the plate was the steak. It was so tender it practically melted in your mouth and packed that bold, savory flavor you expect from well-prepared carne asada. I'm not always in this part of town, but the next time I am, I'll definitely swing by to try some of their other options. What makes this even more frustrating is that this isn't an isolated experience.
