Worst experience ever I was excited to try this new IHOP close to work so my parent and I decided to come. Waited for 30 mins for our food and my order was wrong and my parents order didn't come. We kept asking the waiter and all he kept saying was let me go check on your order. I told the waiter cancel my order and went to the front and said I'm not paying for the food or the drinks and they still wanted me to pay like I took my order home I will continue going to the one in Encino. read more

I heard there was going to be a new IHOP in town so I took it upon myself to check it out . This place is brand new and looks very sheik . I love the floors and the layout and the over all look is very welcoming . The General Manager Evelyn I believe is her name was there to greet me with her gorgeous smile and makes me feel so welcomed . There was 2 other gentleman there who I am guessing were the Regional and District manager who as well were helping guests and employees the whole time I was there. So far this IHOP is all I imagined and more and I look forward to coming back . 5 Stars in my book Keep up the excellent work IHOP you did a great job with this location . The service the three times I have been there was horrible they took forever to bring coffee and it was barely warm asked for water that never came until asked for, well after the meal arrived . staff not Friendly and extremely loud patrons ., Next time at minimum a different location for sure. The employees at the Northridge location are idiots. I called this morning asking for the strawberry banana cream pie pancakes that are advertised as a special item on the IHOP website and I spoke with 2 employees and one manager and all of them said that item was not available to purchase. I called the Tarzana location afterwards and they were clearly aware of this item and promptly placed my order for me. I'm baffled that Northridge clearly didn't train or inform their employees about the current specials. Needless to say, I won't be going back to that location ever again... read more

The food was warm not hot, the service was trash it took forever for our waitress to attend us her name was Caroline. She checked on us once. When I asked for napkins and strawberry jam I thought she'd come back quick but when I looked around she was attending other people then 15 min later she came back empty handed. But she was quick to hand me the check. I understand this is a busy location but maybe for next time employees should finish attending one customer first before they jump to the next. read more

Still shocked ! Terrible service asked for holiday pancakes and requested no peppermint or fudge spread, when they brought them out it had both and told (karina) that the order was wrong. She took them back and it seemed like she brought me new one's, until I realized it was same one's I had just returned except they just turned them over and wiped off the fudge. I realized that his location does not have good pancakes. They are not, light, fluffy and tasty. I asked the server for light pancakes and she gave me brown pancakes. I mentioned to her that the pancakes were not light, so she took them and gave me another, however they were the same color. I didn't realize it since the shade from the window was down. When the shade was pulled up by an employee I noticed it. My first visit was the same thing. This changes the taste of the pancakes. read more

This establishment is VERY new. Love the clean atmosphere and the light non-pop music playing while we dined. The staff was very friendly especially OSCAR. He was funny and accomodating, great attitude to have in a customer-oriented establishment. Food is good depending on what you order. Staff took way to long to refill our drinks. This was early in the morning too & there was no more than 6 guests/families there so I don't know why they lagged. My boyfriend ordered the steak and potato omelette and there was barely any steak. When it came to paying we had to wait like 10 min because they didn't have change and we paid with $60! The girl who gave us our change had attitude and she's lucky I'm working on my anger issues because she would've been dropped long time ago my boyfriend and I are very understanding and we get it's too early in the morning, but at the same time..if you don't like your job THEN FIND A NEW ONE. My family just came home from this place disappointed. At first, we thought it was great we were seated right away. However, it took about 10 minutes for a server to even ask us about drinks! Emilio was our server and because he was dressed differently, I'm thinking he's the supervisor as well. It took another 10-15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our drinks were all mixed up. He didn't bother putting our kids' drinks in a childproof container. After about 5 minutes or so he took down our order. It took the longest time to get all our food. Our orders came in separately as opposed to coming all at the same time. I was even wondering why the other customers around us were getting their food first and leaving even though we came before them! I realized they had different servers who moved faster than ours. It was probably 30-45 minutes from the time we got our food. By that time we were so hungry and I was already grumpy. The food was just average. When we were done, we were waiting around again for our server to come back and bring our check. He brought the to-go box but he never brought the check. I was getting impatient so I had my husband go up to the cashier and pay it then. Don't get me wrong. Emilio seems nice as a supervisor and he checks in on the customers overall. However, as his own customers, he failed us significantly. He didn't attend to us in a timely manner and was disorganized. He was more about "campaigning" than he was serving us. Morden looking, new and clean restaurant. Food was good as same as the other Ihop but service was so bad. It took 15mins for waitress to start taking drinks orders. It took another 10mins for 4 water to the table. And 30 mintues for food to the table with missing pancake, fork, ketchup.... It was bad service not because of servers it was the managers problem. They don't know how to manage. One waitress serve 1 table close the front door, 2 tables on the middle and 2 table all the way inside at the corner. Horrible customer service! First of all our waitress Veronica was not so attentive. Second she had very long acrylic nails witch I know that's a major health code violation. She brought out some very hard cold pancakes that must of been sitting there for about 20 min. Then we had to get up to get our own silverware. By then I was done with that place. Will I return?? Terrible service... I came in on 8/17/16 (there were only 2 of us in my party) and was seated promptly. It was 8:00am... they gave us menus and went back to working.. we sat there with our menus, without getting water or coffee for 15 minutes... I turned around to make eye contact with a waitress who was helping the people who came in after us with their drinks. She told me "just a minute". Wanted to give this new IHOP a try. Usually IHOP is quick and easy. Today we were seated right away and then our server never came over. At least 15 minutes went by and nothing. Then one of the hosts asked if we have been helped and we said no. He said he would get our server. About 5 minutes later our server came over. Turns out she was the one on the computer not 3 feet drop us the whole time. Never once looked up and acknowledged us or anything. Even when the host asked if we had been helped. Then she comes over like nothing well Teresa that's not how this works. You are in a service industry. If you are in the middle of something and u see you table get sat like 3 feet from you at least acknowledge them! Not so good IHOP! read more

First time at an ihop in years. Harvest Pancakes were awesome. Service was good and server was very friendly. I ordered off of the 55+menu 2+2+2 and asked if I could have the Harvest pancakes instead of the buttermilk.. "Oh sure" our server said. And then changed us $1..99 extra. I would have appreciated her telling me it was extra on the senior menu to make changes. Will I go back? Probably and if I have pancakes I will order the Harvest again. They are awesome read more

On Sunday 1/10/16 I ordered take out cheese blintz for 10 people, they don't have a catering menu; my daughters favorite breakfast food. For her surprise bday party I requested the sauce on the side. When I got home what I got was crapes with a side of sour cream and and a side of sauce. It was very upsetting not to receive what I ordered and her favorite food which was my theme for her party all about what she loves. I wish I could upload a picture of what I received. read more

We love going to IHOP and the food tasted great, but the service was terrible. Our waitress was at our table maybe twice our whole visit to take out order and to give us the check. We had empty glasses of drinks for our whole meal. When we went to pay Alexandra rung us up and she charged us more than our receipt said and gave us an attitude when we asked her why we were charged more. Honestly I work in customer service so I'm really patient and understanding when you have a lot of people in your restaurant but this was just ridiculous.
