Just realized how did I not visit Denny's anytime sooner? I made a stop on a Friday morning since I was craving pancakes. Upon walking into the restaurant, the ambiance is moderate busy, not too loud and waiters are quick. The staff assisted me and walked me over to my table right away. They currently have breakfast promos and they have a rewards program as well. I decided to go with the "super slam" and a side of their pumpkin pecan pancakes. My coffee tasted delicious and the refills kept coming. I always order my eggs sunny side up because I love poking into the yolk and making a mess. The pancakes were so fluffy, buttery, soft, delicious full of flavor; pecans and pumpkin. 5/5 Once I was ready to go, the waiter offered coffee-to-go and I accepted it. What a way to serve your customers. This location is great, plenty of parking in a large lot and friendly service at Denny's.

Trying the Slamburger for the first time. This Denny's hosts our LUG every other Saturday. José always takes good care of us. Staff is friendly. Food is generally very good.

Carmen and Jose were very welcoming and made sure everything was great with us! Constantly checking in with us to make sure everything was good with our meal and if we needed anything else. The resteraunt was very clean, and the food was great. The cinnamon pancakes are my go-to, they are very good!

Food took a while to come out, Waiter was nice and very responsive. This place is close to church so it's very busy on Sundays. Me and Jhoanna waited about 25 minutes for food to come out. The eggs were over cooked and dry. The sausage and bacon were cooked to perfection as well for the hash browns. The pancakes were okay... burnt on the bottom. I recommend this place to people who aren't picky and who have a strong appetite for a subpar selection of breakfast items!

Yelp Review - Denny's Northridge (Visited July 13 at ~12:30pm I'm deeply disappointed to be writing this review. My mother and I have been coming to this Denny's in Northridge since 1978 -- back when I was a child, and now as adults with our own kids. It's been a multigenerational tradition. Sadly, today may have been our last visit. We came in around 12:30 PM and were seated by who I believe was the manager, Jose, near the kitchen area in a booth. We waited nearly 10 minutes with menus in hand and no acknowledgment from any server. Finally, a Filipino waitress with no name tag approached us. I said, "Finally someone's here. I thought you all were on strike," in a lighthearted but truthful way to express our frustration. Instead of a smile or reassurance, we got a curt attitude in return. She brushed it off, saying they were busy. We mentioned we were hungry, and she responded in an impatient, almost annoyed tone. Her demeanor felt rushed, brash, and impersonal from the start. We ordered two Grand Slams. I believed I was ordering the $10.99 Grand Slam advertised on the poster in the window, but I was charged nearly $20 for mine. I also asked for decaf coffee for my mom -- she brought regular. When I told her about the mistake, she didn't apologize and just walked off to get another without much care. I requested that we place our to-go order after eating so the food wouldn't get cold, but she never came back to take it. Every time I asked for something, it felt like a burden to her. The coffee was cold, and when I brought it up, she shrugged and rushed away. Her communication was unclear, and unfortunately, the language barrier made it harder to connect. Eventually, after waiting another 10-15 minutes for the check and not seeing her again, I had to go up to the front to speak to Jose. His attitude wasn't much better. When I asked about the Grand Slam pricing, he gave me a dismissive explanation, almost as if I were a child, and acted like I should have just accepted the mistake. No apology, no effort to make things right. Instead, he backed up the waitress completely, giving the impression that our complaint was just a nuisance. We spent over $52 and left feeling like we weren't valued at all. I work as an executive healthcare recruiter and home health specialist and have strong relationships with over 40 care facilities. I make it a point to recommend businesses that treat customers with care and respect. Unfortunately, I'll be warning my network to steer clear of this Denny's and consider alternatives like IHOP across the street -- where the service has consistently been friendlier and more professional. It's truly disheartening to be treated this way after decades of loyal patronage. We left church this morning talking about loving our neighbor -- and it's incredibly hard to do that when you're met with rudeness, neglect, and arrogance. Denny's corporate needs to take a hard look at what's happening at this location. Poor service, unqualified management, and a dismissive attitude are a recipe for losing loyal customers like us. We won't be returning. - Albert V.

    Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger. Good eats.

Jose and Carmen had excellent service and the food turned out to be fantastic with no complaints. They always checked in on our food to make sure everything was great as well. The accommodation to our big party was nice as we all fit into one seating arrangement.

This Dennys has the best service!! Jose was excellent at giving our 11+ party more than 5 star service. Everything was timely and delicious even in the busy hours. Definitely the best choice.

Jose is the nicest! Great food and fast service. Always here for SVG LUG and they are so nice to accommodate us.

I've been coming to this Denny's for a while and I've never been disappointed. I love that they are open 24 hours and the service is always fast! I usually get the build your own slam where you can pick 4 from a variety of options. It's perfect to satisfy any late night breakfast cravings! From the colors to the booths, Denny's always has such a classic feel to it.

Unfortunately, what should have been a nice experience turned into a very disappointing one. I sat waiting for quite a while and eventually had to wave down a waitress just to get assistance at the counter. The waitress, Margarita (aka Maggie), had a very unfriendly demeanor from the beginning. When I asked a simple question, her response and attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I even told her that I was willing to pay the difference if my meal exceeded the value of the coupon. I was not expecting anything special--just basic courtesy and good customer service. I honestly felt as though I was being treated poorly because I was using a complimentary meal coupon. If you are going to provide these coupons to customers, they should be honored with the same respect and courtesy as any paying customer. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Nothing shouts out at us to give the food an upstanding 5/5, but this is still a solid pick for an American diner. Note that if you order anything with strawberries (including the fruit cup), you will get exactly 1 strawberry cut into 4 pieces to ration during your meal. Service: 2.5/5 There is one person manning the floor the majority of the time, and he does a good job managing multiple tables. We came in at 9 am on a workday and there were already 25 people in the restaurant, all managed by this one waiter. There is another person who pops in every now and then to deliver food and refill coffee. That said, don't expect to be checked in on often or to quickly get your order in. First time, had Chicken Cordon Bleu and it was delicious! I'm going to reorder that again. Tasty, sauce was just the right mustard, the chicken was perfectly cooked as was the garlic spinach. Also, ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was tasty as usual. Both dishes had healthy portions. Total value for the money. We had the birthday sundae dessert and Liz even sang Happy Birthday. That was so sweet. She even gave us a cup to take our water home. Highly recommend this restaurant! We will be back sooner rather than later.

Mimi's Cafe is a chain with over 20 locations in California, and I'm quite perplexed by Yelpers who…read moreare complaining about why this coffee shop/diner isn't delivering the kinds of meals they get at an upscale restaurant. Yes, the decor has a few French accents, but it's primarily the same kind of 20th Century furnishings you'd find at dozens of other such places across the SFV, and which scream "omelettes and burgers and club sandwiches." So, who's confused? Frankly, I thought the food was quite decent, and the servers were very friendly. We arrived at about 10:45am on a Sunday, and they were pretty busy. Rather than wait for a table, we sat at the Counter, and were nicely tended to by the team. This counter doubles as their bar, and they do have a full (if not extensive) selection of liquors -- people were ordering mimosas and bloody Mary's, and generally enjoying themselves. The menu offers the greatest hits of diner food for each day part, so the breakfast menu wasn't quite as large as I expected. Still, there were plenty of choices, many of which sounded appealing, and all of which were reasonably priced. I decided on the Smoked Salmon Benedict, which they build with Cold-smoked Atlantic salmon and medium-poached eggs, topped with hollandaise sauce, diced red onions and capers, and served with a side of roasted potatoes. The food was very nicely composed and plated, with the eggs being just runny enough to coat the salmon and English muffin without being messy, while the capers and diced onions added an enjoyable pop of spice and brine you don't usually get with a Benedict. The roasted potatoes on the side were less successful. Despite having the perfect color to them -- one that would indicate they were crispy -- they were, in fact, somewhat mushy inside and out. I'm not sure exactly how they are cooked and then kept warm, but the kitchen may want to tweak its approach. My wife was attracted to their appealingly-described Brown Sugar & Cranberry Oatmeal. Though it sounded really special, in the reality this was just regular oatmeal served with brown sugar and cranberries on the side, as you would get at any coffee shop anywhere in America. But, though not exactly the chef-composed creation the menu implied, my wife really enjoyed the oatmeal, saying it tasted very good. At least as far as she was concerned, there was no harm, no foul. So, is Mimi's the culinary world's greatest gift to high-toned brunch? Of course not. But is Mimi's a good place to get a perfectly good brunch for a good price? Of course it is! Go. Enjoy.
