I was craving pancakes, so I went to the local Ihop. I pleasently surprised after seeing the various reviews. Beside trying to figure how to get into the parking lot nothing really was negative. The resturant had nice amount of customers and I got seated right away. The Hostess was nice. My waitress (sorry I do not rember any names) was at my table to get my drink order right away and when return with my drink she was ready to take my order. My waitress and the waiter to the right were great. The greeted their tables, were very attentive to their customers. On to the food. First the Pancakes, Did they Shrink in size? besides the size of the pancakes they hit the spot. The breakfast sampler cover all the bases, eggs with could perfectly, bacon was near perfect, ham was yummy, the hashbrowns were good and the sausage was cook just right. Overall Ihop is what I expected just right. I would go back for sure maybe their feature pancakes are bigger. We will see soon. read more

I've been to this ihop a few times, and their food is always delicious. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were as well. The ambiance was nice in here and the restaurant was really clean. Located on University drive and Sheridan street across from the hospital . This IHOP was very busy , but the waitress was very attentive with the coffee right away. We had breakfast crepes with strawberries and blue berries . It was very good and filling . The menu had a good assortment of meals to order from fish and chips to breakfast steak and eggs . A senior section with discounts and also kids meal . I had not been at an IHOP in years and was survived to see vegetarian meals as well as imposible burger . Decided to go here after a movie on Christmas! The servers, Johann and Mary were PHENOMENAL!! The condescending cook, Chris was horrible!!!! He was the only cook there and loudly berated the servers the entire time we were there, constantly yelling at them to tell the patrons it would be at least a 15-20 minute since he was the only cook there and they should expect a wait on a holiday. He would ask them if they understood what he was saying or if they wanted to come cook it themselves or did they wanna serve it raw when the servers asked for an update on a meal. When a meal was ready, he would yell their names repeatedly, completely disregarding the fact that they were actively serving other patrons. I don't know how they could tolerate the way he spoke to them! He spoke to them like they were 5 year olds. I heard his unpleasant words my entire meal and they handled it like professionals. The food was as expected. He is completely unprofessional and LOUD!!! Not a great experience for a holiday meal. read more

First time here since 1999. Sat immediately and ordered with our server Joann who was polite and friendly. Ordered pancakes, onion and cheese omelette with hashbrowns and bacon. I love the open kitchen concept at this location. The food came out within eight minutes. The pancakes were fluffy just as I remembered 25 years ago. The bacon came out crispy as ordered. iHop, we'll what can you say that hasn't been said before. When you come here you pretty much know what to expect. Pretty standard service and food taste the same. The server was very good and made sure we were taken care of. Nonetheless I like to share their dishes. I was here on a Thursday morning for breakfast. We were seated and waited on right away. Our server, Alfredo, was pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious! Two over medium eggs, two strips of turkey bacon, hash browns, breakfast potatoes, two buttermilk pancakes, eggs Benedict and a coffee. Good portions, not too much and not too little. Cost 29.00 and some change. Definitely reasonable. The restaurant could use some updates. An employee was in the process of cleaning the floor. This review is long overdue! My boyfriend and I tend to come here often during the nighttime hours of 10pm-6am. Jean is always handling the night by himself. You can tell he has mastered handling multiple tasks at once. Give him that raise already Jean's service is mainly the reason we come back consistently. He never fails to bring not just our table, but everyone's table, great service. As for food, you can't mess up with breakfast at night! read more

The food portions do not match the menu. This is a common thing everwhere The funnel cakes are tiny, Like a cookie The picture on the menu had a good size. It was almost the size of the plate. You can't even really see the bottom of the place of how much funnel cake is there. What you get here is not the same at all. Funny the cake mix is not expensive at all to have such small portions. I had a combo with a side of green pancakes. I had two thin not fluffy dollar size pancakes not what the picture looked like. I was disappointed. Why are the pancakes so thin and flat. I had the stuffed French toast. It was delicious. It had hashbrowns, eggs and thin slices of bacon. The meal tasted good. The service was good, fast and pleasant. The place looked clean. read more

The most horrible dining experience EVER!!!!!! Zero stars!!!! This place is a hot ghetto mess. And it's unfortunate because it all stems from one person. First, there was absolutely no customers when we walked in at 10 pm after watching a movie. We were quickly told that they were short staffed so we waited to be seated. There was a family behind us that left because the cook was rude and told them that they needed to call corporate because there was going to be a long wait to get there food. We sat down (the waitress was nice) and she took our order. We could hear another waitress and the cook talking smack about previous customers and how they come out like roaches after the rain stops, they kept going on and on about customers that keep them in business (go figure). She proceeded to being purposely rude to other incoming customers and many left. The few of us that remain were subjected to loud unedited rap music. My husband became upset when she played Megan Thee Stallion's Savage with all the curse words loud and clear for our kids to listen to worlds like pu$$y and f*ck. Never in my life have I been to another restaurant that allows this type of music to play. He asked her to please turn down her music, which she did but then talks about him to her little friend until my husband became irate. She kept referring to our table as the "Christian table" and that she was making "Holy" pancakes for us and that our kids probably listen to that type of music on the radio. My husband lost it. He went to confront her and she acted as if she did nothing wrong and her stupid little friend was trying to vouch for her because she's the "Assistant Manager." So we left. We didn't even eat, no way would I spend my money there especially knowing that they don't even want customers. And if she hates her job that much, she should visit the nearest job fair. They have many in Broward County. It's not the customer's fault that they are short staffed. There is absolutely no reason why we were subjected to that type of behavior. And I'm pretty sure those people that left were pissed off too. read more

We always have a good experience here, but today I have to knock a star down. Today we have our grandbaby with us and he needed a diaper change. Imagine my surprise when I go to the restroom and there is no changing table! This is a very important thing for a family restaurant. Even if there was a counter in there it would have been better that me changing my grandson standing up! Thank goodness he didn't ! I mentioned it up front but got no response. Step up!!! There is PLENTY of room in the ladies room to accommodate one. Miami-Dade set an ordinance in 2018, Broward should do the same! By the way, most of the food was okay. The waffle was horrible! I came in for there all you can eat pancakes special and it was awsome. My waiter was great she checked on me like every 3min. The problem I have is while I'm still eating I see her walk out and get in her car and drive off. How am I suppose to enjoy a place when I cant connect with my waiter. We stopped by this IHOP for a quick breakfast as we had a big day ahead of us. Our server was very professional and quick to get our orders in. She also gave us some suggestions on some pancake flavors that turned out to be delicious. I opted for the big steak and it was up there with some of the best omelets I have ever had. Every ingredient seemed to be cooked to great proportions and complimented each other very well. It was such a pleasant surprise as I have never tried steak on an omelet. I also was able to upgrade to an order of strawberry banana pancakes that were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had plenty of energy to take on the day. read more

Dirty silverware, I waited 10 minutes for the server to come back and check on us after she dropped off the food. By the time she made it back, my food was ice cold & still only had dirty silverware. I am not sure how this location has any stars at all, let alone 3. My husband and I were taking about coffee and decided to come to IHOP as it's been a long time for us. We came in on Monday morning affording us a moment to sit and enjoy breakfast without countless interruptions by the children. It was warm when we walked in. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but we were seated in an area where the sun just hits us in the face and it was warmer at the table than the entry way. We immediately turned around and left. This is totally unacceptable. I am not even sure this is legal for the staff to be working in such conditions (I mean think about refrigeration too- is it even working?!). There is no way I could sit down, and take my time to have coffee on a quite Monday morning with no meetings, only to sit and sweat. Do yourself the favor and save the gas just skip this location entirely. read more

An IHOP is an IHOP is an IHOP...I notice that I have been frequenting these late night greasy spoons in chain restaurant and suburbia land and they have the common thread of tres sappy music which can become depressing as you're unwinding from a party. Again, it doesn't have to be Kaskade, Van Dyk, or Guetta but come on..heck I'd be happy listening to a cleaned up version of LMFAO :) Other than the music, it was a standard and pleasant experience. I'm digging the bottomless coffee pot - nothing fancy, just Americano - brought to my table as it works wonders against for example Brugal and cokes at a party earlier in the evening :) My waffles with strawberry topping were adequately tasty, though the strawberries seemed the frozen kind. Still, I dig the 4 different syrups (I mixed in strawberry and blueberry.) The sausages were a little on the scrawny side, and the eggs weren't Benedicted but tasted alright with enough yolk.
