I have been a long time customer of IHOP. I moved and have an IHOP within a quarter mile of my house. Now I get it, Saturday breakfast will be busy. Waited, got a table, started looking at our menus. About 8 minutes later a table was seated almost across from us. 5 minute after that they got their drink order taken with us still sitting over there waiting to be acknowledged. Okay, maybe we have a different waiter that might be a little bit busier. Drinks delivered to that table, we're still sitting there. Now we're at 15 minutes, the people behind finish their meal and get up and leave, new people sat drinks order taken, food order taken, table almost across from us gets their food, The 4 of us get up we walk out. Not even acknowledged the whole entire time we said at that table which was over 17 minutes. We must have been walked past by 2 wait staff 15 plus times. At that point being ignored is blatant not accidental. Here I now sit in Mary Ann's diner which is right down the road, have already had my order taken and I have drinking half my drink and I have been here less than 10 minutes. After sitting at our table for nearly 15 minutes without ever being acknowledged by a server we left. The guests seated nearby who arrived after us had drinks delivered and meals ordered but servers kept walking right past our table. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Well who doesn't like iHop. iHop is iHop lol. This is the only one around where i live. The place is fairly clean, but the waiters need an attitude adjustnent. read more

Went here last weekend at noon. There was a lot of people waiting but they were really quick about getting us a table. The owner was really nice to us and everyone else who was waiting. Our waitress was okay, she wasn't enthusiastic and didn't come to check on us until after we were all done. Food came out quick and my red velvet pancakes looked stunning. It's been a few years since I've been here and I'm glad they are still good. read more

We come the Salem New Hampshire IHOPE normally it's pretty good, today not so much. There were three of us, first they acted like they didn't want to seat us, then the server was not so nice(not so happy either) and the food was just ok. Came here with a couple of friends after a night out, they were visiting from Boston and we needed a quick place before they left. They were very busy, but it was a standard 10 minute wait which is usual for most breakfast places I have been to on Sunday mornings. I was disappointed with the food! My pancakes were average, eggs tasted weird...seemed like the eggs you pour out of a carton not the real stuff, bacon was tiny and not very tasty. Sausage...ehh kinda like the frozen jimmy deans you buy at the supermarket. Overall I could have made a better breakfast and I dont really cook much, I guess I might be picky having tried some real dinners and breakfast places which cook good homemade type of food. Definetly would not go back especially for the price...not to sound like snob but why do people come back here, must not know what a good breakfast tastes like...I think a Mcdonalds breakfast is as good or even better... read more

If you're lazy and it's late in the afternoon or night and you want breakfast. This is the place to be. I don't know what they put in their pankcakes. But I can eat them forever. Their breakfast combination is awesome. If you haven't tried this place out, you are missing out. read more

I used to skip school to eat breakfast here back when I was attending North Andover High School. Now I live right across the street & go there to fix a hangover with my bf & friends. I love the ligon berry crepes with the lingon berry butter. The staff is usually quick & the food is pretty cheap. Not as good as a diner, but still pretty yummy. read more

I wish I could rate higher, because I do love this place, but the staff is horrendous. We always end up getting the exact same waitress and she's awful. She's very rude, doesn't stop by frequently (even on slow days, we've sat for hours while she's flirting with the cooks), and just has such a bad attitude. We've gotten to the point where we have to physically GO UP to the kitchen and ask for our bill every time we're there because she doesn't come to check on us or offer to bring it to us. There's really no reason for us to be there for two hours when we could get in and out within an hour if she just did her job. One visit in particular, we were there at 8:30pm to eat. Again, the same woman, so of course we waited forever for anything. It got to the point I got up and went for a cigarette since we were waiting for so long. First of all, I had a cook scream out at me "We got a runner!" as I was walking out; totally unprofessional, first of all, and second of all my husband was still at the table, ready to pay whenever the woman decided she was ready to deal with us. Second, when I tried to come back in and sit back down, the doors were already locked. It was 9:15pm at that point, while their doors have 10pm close stated across them. Really?? And when I tried knocking at the door our waitress gave me a dirty look and turned back to her conversation. I had forgotten my phone so I had to go around and wave to my husband to be let back in. The food is incredible, so as I stated I wish I could give a better review, but some of the staff is just horrendous. read more

Fruit flies everywhere. All on the walls all over the syrup containers. Constantly flying around me while I was eating.

Had a craving for some IHOPness and they didn't disappoint... love they now use the cinnabon cinnamon on pancakes and waffles... YUMM!

Harvest grain and nut pancakes are unreal!!! Took the kiddos out for breakfast for dinner and had a great time. Service was great, food was as expected, and seated in no time. We'll be back! Thanks! read more

Not a lot you can do to breakfast. A routine run of the mill breakfast stop not different from what you would cook at home for yourself. If you are on the road or in a hurry it is a consistent filling breakfast that will settle your stomach. Certainly not a destination location but if you're hungry and in a hurry not bad. read more

Predictably good experiences at this IHOP. The servers are friendly and competent, the food is reliable. Not gourmet cuisine, but a solid place if you want to have breakfast for dinner, which we occasionally do. Yummy pancakes! read more

I am a creature of habit. When I find something I like I stick with it. Waitress was extremely kind and attentive. Location was clean and in better shape than most IHOPs. I went at a strange time middle of the afternoon on a workday normally a lull period so I give them some room for error . But the whole point of IHOP is people come here at strange times, regardless. The omelette I had was so dry it was nearly in edible . I've ordered the same omelet at probably twenty different IHOPs and never been so disappointed, granted I'm always slightly disappointed at IHOP this was a new low. I'm from the south so my rating of their biscuits and gravy wouldn't even be fair, is the only place I know in New England that serves it so points that even tried. Will probably return but would recommend restaurant does a little better kitchen training and quality assurance. No excuse for a bad omelette when I am the sole customer. read more

Always good food, and friendly service. Much better than the one in Revere. I don't eat here often as I don't want to die of a heart attack but every couple months we come here and pig out or get a to-go order. Love the pancakes and french toast but the Belgian Waffle is my favorite. read more

Food was good, waitress was great, bathroom was disgusting. Door was propped open with an orange traffic cone which gave a lack of privacy. Only two stalls. First toilet was clogged, the other, the handicap stall, I used but realized was out of toilet paper after I'd already gone. Luckily I had kleenex in my purse. If the bathroom looks like this, what does the kitchen my food is cooked in look like? I probably won't be back. :-( read more

I was going to give ihop a chance to fix their mistake but it was just a waste of my time. My grandmother and I brought my mother out for breakfast on her birthday and split the bill in half. We each signed for the amount that should have been charged to each account, but the next day my grandmother informed me she was charged for the full amount while I was also charged for half the amount. I understand mistakes happen, I've also worked with splitting bills on registers. So we came in and explained everything to the nice gentleman that was at the desk to seat people and he tried his best to figure it out but had to bring it to the manager, Omar's attention. They treated us great at first and we were assured she would get the money put back in her account-- where they caused and overdraft fee. Omar then came out with his credit card records and showed us that I was never charged the half I signed for and that she was charged for the full amount. His response was "the best thing we can do here is you give your grandmother the half you didn't get charged." Why would I waste my time coming back to fix the situation if I could have done that in the first place? I will not come back to a place that I can't trust with my money. If I'm signing for an amount, I expect that exact amount to come out of my bank account. Not to mention the waitress we had didn't check on us ONCE. They were out of the cream cheese filler for the crepes I asked for and she came back and said they were out of the mix and that the strawberries and cream was similar. I didn't get the chance to tell her I wasn't happy with the dish she gave me because she wasn't around. 20 minutes later when everyone else was done I handed it to her and said I didn't like it. She tried to push me into getting a different one to bring home and I said no thank you everyones already done there's really no need. So overall POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL NOT BE BACK. read more
