Came here for lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday! This is one of her favorite places to eat because she enjoys the food. Like many people, I am on a budget. Luckily, this location accepted my coupon for "Any 2 items for $6.99." But, as a backup I had my AARP card because you get 10% off if you're a member. From the pick 2 items I chose the half Uptown Turkey Avocado sandwich, which was tasty, but a little dry. My other item was the Turkey Avocado Cobb salad and side of fruit. The ambiance is casual and there's a lot of parking. This Corner Bakery is in a plaza that includes a Handel's ice cream, so we walked over there for some ice cream when we were done. If you like sandwiches, paninis, soup, and salad this is a very good place to try! read more

For some reason, its popularity has diminished. The food quality has always been very good, the service was not great, but seems to have improved quite a bit. Used to have a grumpy manager, but he's gone. The bargain dinners has been refreshing. Hope you will give it a try. Love the sandwiches, salads, soups, and pasta. We stopped in for a cup of fresh hot coffee and a bakery treat .. the cinnamon loaf slices. Very fresh and perfect with the coffee. Warm and cozy interior with booths and tables. Although we didn't have a main meal there today, I did see a few being taken to tables and they looked very tasty and substantial. I look forward to ordering more on the next visit. read more

Rolled in to grab a breakfast since I was running errands in the area 1- ambiance The music (hip hop) doesn't align with the patrons demographic. The average age is somewhere between 80 and deceased. Otherwise , it's dark wood and dim lighting 2- service Order at the counter and they call you up. Basically it's a Starbucks on steroids, as they offer some other breakfast items like pancakes and bowls The coffee is "here's a cup, there are the jugs, fill up" The crew here were ... sort of oblivious. They don't maintain the coffee dispensers so some were out and some of the creamers were out. 3- food Can't really say that it's exception in any way. The parallel to Starbucks is apt , as that's the quality of food you get. But, sometimes that's just fine 4- conclusion Can't say this is my "to go" breakfast place. It's a big corporate chain that has a niche. If you're hankering for some (relatively) quick average breakfast , then this place is for you! read more

I live Corner Bakery, but to my dismay, their quality (all locations) has been going down the last few years. HOWEVER, today at the Redondo Beach Corner Bakery we rewound time to 10 years ago! The chicken pomodori panini had tons of meat, was hot, good amount of sauce. The Mac n'cheese was hot, a lot in the bowl & lots of Cheese-a-licious sauce! This review is for a to go order...and it was ready and the service was fine. I tried the new turkey sandwich on pretzel bread. The pretzel bread was very dry. The bread was soft on the outside, but dry on the inside. It is a fresh...not toasted bread...so either it was not fresh or that is the consistency of the new pretzel bread which I will not order again. The pretzel bread took away from the enjoyment of the sandwich. In addition, the pretzel bread slices are very narrow therefore, the sandwich is not as large as a sandwich on traditional bread however it is priced the same. If you wanna try a good pretzel bread, buy the pretzel bread at Trader Joe's. I actually called the store to tell them about the pretzel bread and they were very polite at listening and said they have had some complaints on their new breads. However, if I were running that store and a customer called to complain about the new bread that they tried, I would have offered them a free sandwich or a discount on their next visit. No such offer was made. read more

We ordered from here on DoorDash today and what we received was barely mediocre and a complete waste of money. $20 for a half soup half sandwich with an additional up-charge for choosing a specialty sandwich (the roast beef and blue) with arugula, onions, and blue cheese - it had basically none of any of those things on it - I don't even think there was blue cheese at all - and on the driest bread I've ever tasted with two small flimsy pieces of deli meat. It was the saddest sandwich I've ever had I couldn't even finish it. A $50 total order on that, a coffee, and a super basic (and thin) breakfast sandwich. Corner Bakery has a great 6.99 dinner thru the end of December. It is served after 4 pm. Your choice of any two; soup, salad, sandwich and pasta. Portions are perfect. Great for take out too. This restaurant prides itself on cleanliness. Employees are constantly cleaning. Employees are very kind. When the kids from the martial arts studio next door found out there was a free cookie sampler platter on the counter, they all came in giggling and taking a cookie and staff was wonderful to them. Bathroom was also smelly and disgusting and outside seating area was nasty as well. They had plates left and no one to pick them up and they weren't even busy. We were the only ones there. I was so glad to see this location open! I have loved corner bakery since I first discovered it when I was going to UCLA. I was a frequent visitor to Panera since there was no CB closer than Manhattan Beach. I still love Panera, but it's got a little competition now. I usually do the combo with baked potato soup, and their new 'mom's sandwiches' are great too. love the sliced chicken! their dessert case is sinful, but so good. the lemon pound cake and baby bunts are my best friends, and the sugar cookies have become very familiar as well. I like how this location is never 'that busy'. it's full at peak hours, but you can still get a table. The patio is quite nice as well. I am going to assume it's never packed to the gills because it's one of the few I know of that is not attached to a shopping mall or shopping area. It's next to a CVS and a gas station. read more

Bad experiences here as of late. What appears to be a homeless person has taken up residence on the restaurant's patio. Many days he can be seen on the patio filing parts down for his bike that he parks along side a bunch of personal items he has strewn across two tables. He is erratic at times, making sexual comments to female patrons as he walks in and out of the patio door. He occupies the bathroom for long periods brushing his teeth. When my fiancee and I told the manager Robert about his behavior, he said that "He's been coming in here for years. He's harmless." Apparently his name is Mike, and some of the other servers we talk to have witnessed the same behavior, but say that there is nothing they can do since management isn't taking action. I went to the Corner Bakery in Redondo, on PCH near Prospect, because it advertises as having free Wi-Fi and I wanted to have a cup of coffee and do some work using the free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi does not work, which I found out after ordering lunch and coffee. I asked the staff if there was some place to sit n the store that was best for Wi-Fi and they said it was down because management was waiting for the contract to expire. I think the Yelp listing for this location of Corner Bakery should be modified to delete the free WiFi because it does not exist. read more

My fiancé and I love this restaurant it's now our favorite and we come to it almost on a daily basis mostly because the food is great and the service and management is awesome. Chau is the manager and he treats us with lots of kindness, always says hi and is really attentive to all the customers. In the restaurant has a nice atmosphere the prices are good. I am disappointed with the food at Corner Bakery. The only reason I did not give it less than 3 stars is because the bakery is soo good. I have been to this location a hand full of time and each time I order their Panini sandwich I feel the amount of chicken becomes less and less. Yesterday, I ordered for pickup their Green Chili Chicken Panini and went I got home to take a bite of my sandwich, all I tasted was chili peppers. They are extra friendly and generous here, and you can tell it's because of great management and even greater staff members who care about the guests. This place was packed on a recent Saturday and I can see why. The staff go above and beyond to get you seated quickly, provide high quality food and big portions, and generous refills. The dining room and building have been completely redone (they even moved the bathrooms entirely from where the Chinese restaurant used to have them), and I love the fun colors and brightness of this place. Pro tip: the AC is extra cold so bring a sweater or light jacket! I don't usually frequent IHOP but I'll be adding this specific location to my regular rotation.

After all these years, not much has changed except the prices, which is understandable. I'm giving this location 4 stars because of the great value and excellent service. Their lunch menu, which starts around $12 to $15 depending on your choice, includes an entrée with Never Ending Soup or Salad and Breadsticks. The food on the lunch menu is good for what you pay, but the real highlight is the value. I've had many items from their regular menu over the years, and those are consistently good. Olive Garden may not be the place you go for the most gourmet Italian food, but they provide a reliable meal at a fair price. What really made today's visit special was the outstanding service. Everyone was very attentive, including the manager, who personally brought out some of our meals. Our server kept checking back with us to make sure everything was going well, and we truly appreciated the extra attention. For me, Olive Garden continues to be a place I enjoy coming back to because of the combination of good food, great value, and excellent service. Hopefully they continue providing the same experience for many more years to come.

Well our server at the Olive garden in Torrance , his names was (Sal) so nice so attentive made sure he took away every dish all the way to the end and made sure we were fully taken care of I was so so surprised. Best service we had in along time. We are black Americans so we used to being discriminated against and stereotyped, but this guy Hispanic took care of us completely like we were in his own home. Thank you SAL for the best service ever . And also the general manager Erika was great!
