Lilly was the perfect waitress !! So sweet!! Got to our needs, food was prefect, and loved her energy!!

So happy that this Restaurant is 24/7 but someone needs to slap the owner upside the head for low staff on hand! Busy night with 1 waitress and 1 cook. Waitress is running her ass off trying to sit patrons at tables, take drink & food orders, preparing non-cook orders, running completed plates, be a cashier, and bus tables in a busy restaurant. With all the patrons in here she could really use some help and maybe some teamwork with the cook yet the cook is being a total dick and yelling at her, yet the orders are taking for ever for him to make. We saw a few tables walk out with only receiving their drinks and no food. We feel so sorry for the waitress we complemented her on her hard work and left her a nice tip! The 3 stars are for the waitress only. This is a very common problem with this particular location. Wish Managment would do something about this staff shortage.... maybe they would have no tables walk out, and happier customers and staff!!! read more

I'm surprised by the comments regarding the bad service because I had wonderful service. All the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The manager on duty, Amy?, always had a smile on her face which set the tone for the rest of the staff. As I listened to her directing the staff, she commanded respect without being overbearing or condescending. As far as the food, well, it's a IHOP and basically they are all the same. We did have a problem with with one of our meals. They immediately corrected the problem and apologized. In my travels, I have been to many of IHOPs in California. I can safely say that this one has provided me with the best costumer service. If you happen to be traveling in the area, I highly recommend stopping Herr to get a bite to eat. Lily, our beautiful server, went above, over & beyond! My friend & I went to our local IHOP today, we have not visited since Covid times so we decided to try again because we do miss the great food. A very friendly atmosphere, no wait, hostess greeted us with a smile. Our order was done to our specifications. Periodically & without being intrusive, Lily made sure that everything was to our liking. Our experience was wonderful and our server was Krys and she was amazingly sweet. The entire experience was wonderful. It was my birthday and she was going to bring me icecream but they were out so she instead of telling me they were out she brought me a chocolate cake. She was attentive the whole time. Food is always exactly the same. It's much better than Denny's. I've always loved the ihop pancake syrups and I always get the split decision. But... avoid this place, at all costs on Sunday, at 11:00am. It's a zoo. It's as loud as a rock concert. It seems like everyone is trying to yell over everyone else. Try getting a booth for 1 or 2 isn't the norm. Y be standing in a sea of 8-14 person parties. It's much easier just to cook at home. And not to mention, it seems like everything on the menu, is $14 or more. It costs $35 for 2 people to eat breakfast. A plate of French toast or pancakes should be like $6. Not $15. read more

This was seriously the ONLY place open within like 30 miles of Gridley on Christmas night. Even Carl's Junior was closed! I've never been so happy to see the glowing lights of an IHOP. Because of the holiday, there was only like one server working and she was also covering the host & payment duties as well. She looked a bit harried, because as others had discovered, this was the only place open for miles, so it was surprisingly packed. No worries, love that IHOP gives you a whole pot of coffee on your table, so I sipped some brew and waited for friends. I love that they have made Cheesecake pancakes a regular item, now! I received the best service here by Lilli. She was phenomenal and made my boyfriend and I feel very welcomed. Its very refreshing to see someone who clearly cares about providing guests with exceptional service. She was also very sweet and complimented me. I don't have much to say about the food, it's your typical mid ihop food. The prices have definitely gone up but so has everywhere else. I probably won't be back much since I'm not the biggest fan of the food, but I wish Lilli all the success in this world she deserves it! read more

I am truly a southern girl, and I usually order the chicken and waffle dish; but I wanted to try something new. I ordered the bananas foster brioche French toast combo. You like bananas and caramel? You like French toast? Then you will love this dish. It WAS a party in my mouth, I could not stop eating it. Now all too soon it was gone and I'm a little sad; but my tummy is happy so it's hard to stay sad for long. As for the rest of the meal, meh. The waitress didn't impress me as being a particularly out going personality. Also I kinda wanted to slap our hostess, she was ultra condescending as she told us about the specials menu, like I have never been to a restaurant that didn't have something like that. Awful service. We waited (at dinner time) no other people waiting to be seated and then were ignored. We sat over 15 minutes without anyone coming to wait on us and then when someone did come to take drink order, she never came back. Meanwhile, people seated long after us were eating. We sat a timer of 5 more minutes and then decided to just leave. We didn't even get water after 30 minutes. Terrible. Terrible. Won't be back. read more

Went here with family and friends for a birthday dinner and to my surprise the whole visit was pleasant. Kaycee took our order and she was sweet, patient and kind. When we missed the complimentary breakfast at the hotel they suggested we hit IHop. It was about noon on a Monday, we were seated right away. Our waitress seemed a bit scattered, maybe just busy, and our orders took a long time. Both enough so, that she came to say she really hadn't forgot about us, waters were coming, as was our food. Good service for a busy Sunday. The manager runs a pretty tight ship. He is very attentive to everything from the front to the kitchen to the tables. Pros: it's IHOP so you know what you will get no matter where in the country you are. They have their calories posted and you can adjust your selections accordingly. So they have at least that and that almost accounted for an extra star. Wait staff and hostess is hit and miss. Cons: at times long wait times, which ok meh, I get it. This location has cockroaches. I have waited my 15 minutes on a mid week day only to see a "little friend" cruising along the wall median. Yuck. This is the clean part, what's it look like in the dirty part? More than one instance of being served water in a dirty glass. How do I know? Lipstick stains all along the top. Last I checked I was not wearing lipstick and neither was my party or wait staff. Gross. Tables are always sticky!! Yuck!!! Bring Clorox wipes! And the menus? Be prepared to peel apart the pages and use your antibacterial gel afterwards. The dining room is not sound friendly so if you are noise sensitive or anyone in your party is, DO NOT go here. If you can look past the filth are armed with cleaning wipes and up to date on your immunizations this is easily worth it's one star rating. read more

What a great experience we had at the Yuba City IHOP today. We stopped in for lunch and were seated quickly by Jason, who was actually our server as well. He quickly got our drinks to us and allowed just the right amount of time for us to decide what we wanted to order. When I asked Jason if they had peanut butter available to put on my pancakes, he quickly went to check. There was none in the kitchen, so he offered to run across the parking lot to the Winco grocery store to get some. I said it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. So, after putting our order in to the kitchen, he really did RUN over to the store and bought the peanut butter. Another nice touch was that he left us a carafe with enough Diet Pepsi for us to refill both of our glasses. So many places leave you waiting for a drink refill, but Jason made sure that it wasn't an issue for us. Our food was great, the service was exceptional, and the restaurant was nice and clean. I don't really have a lot to say about IHOP to be honest. The food is good, but isn't memorable. It's one of those safe places to go to when you're in an area and you want to eat something familiar. Hubby and I ate here last night, at midnight actually since I had an insane craving for IHOP. I've always ordered breakfast items here, so I can't say much for their lunch and dinner items. Obviously there was no wait and to my surprise the people eating there at that time (midnight) were not rowdy or drunk. They did not offer their full menu, which I was a bit bummed about since I really wanted to try their For Me Whole Wheat French Toast. I ended up ordering the For Me 2x2x2, which is 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, and 2 turkey bacon. Hubby ordered one of their specials, breakfast sampler with stuffed french toast. Being seated fast was not the issue, it was being seated and not being waited on for over 20 min, not even a drink order. My friend and I stumbled in here after a late night of karaoke. I was SUPER MEGA HAPPY EXCITED (okay, slightly exaggerated) to find out that this place is 24 hours now! So Denny's is no longer my only option for late-night food cravings. Sweeeet. Food wise, waitress wise, everything was just peachy. Normal IHOP food, which tastes good but not amazing. Up here doing service calls today and decided to stop in here for some breakfast. For the most part not a bad experience. The server was very nice and very courteous the restrooms are clean and well-stocked. I ordered pancakes eggs and sausage. My pancakes for undercooked.The coffee was hot. I did not get a refill on my water. Overall it is about what I expected and I enjoyed the visit.
