I'm giving this 5 stars because it's the best cafeteria food I've ever eaten. Super cheap, super quick & super delicious. They run daily specials so during the week you can grab a quick lunch for a couple of bucks & few minutes. Swedish meatballs, salmon, roast chicken are all great & they've got a salad bar too. I have probably been here at least 50+ times in the last 10 years and let me tell you that this is my favorite little hidden restaurant (Kinda Hidden lol) its so convenient and simple. The food is to die for and I mean that. For something simple for the whole family you really can't go wrong. The whole place is always clean and well kept. Lastly, the employees always treat you right and cater towards your food orders. What's not to like? Cheap large portioned food. I actually came here for breakfast for the first time. I didn't even know Ikea had breakfast. (the cafe also opens at like 8:30, an hour and half earlier than the actual store) 99 cents for egg, sausage and potatoes is pretty good and then you wonder why is it so cheap? I have no idea. The key here is value. IKEA wants to keep people in their store shopping all day by providing customers with decent food, and it definitely works. Tried the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables for 3.99. The roasted chicken and mashed potatoes (probably instant) were pretty good, mixed veggies were acceptable. For 3.99, the value is very good, and you can walk around knowing that you ate something decent and not loaded with grease. They offer wraps, salads, swedish meatballs, ribs, fries, chicken tenders, and many drink choices. Get there early, otherwise it does get crowded quickly. I'd recommend this place to eat if you plan on shopping here for hours on end. I fed 2 adults and 2 kids for less than 15 bucks. I was starving...we didn't have lunch yet, but we just finished walking around IKEA. Lil tired and very hungry...IKEA had a free food promo going on that weekend if you purchase $100 and over. Sure we could've found better food elsewhere, but it was going to be FREE, (we were going to buy some bookcases) who doesn't like free food? Anyway everyone usually gets meatballs, so we each got a plate, but I chose chicken instead and I got a kale salad with chicken as well. Texture of the chicken meatball was very soft, tasted okay. You barely have to chew. I make Italian meatballs on occasion and mine are definitely better, but these go well with their gravy. I really didn't mind the veggies. Plain, but still good. Mashed potatoes were also just okay, definitely needed the gravy. The chicken salad was kinda sad, bit dry...I put honey mustard on the salad. I ate some of the chicken but L finished the rest of the chicken and left the salad. It would've been better if the chicken was grilled. Chicken went well with the lingonberry sauce, not that I tried. The chocolate cake was pretty good. I had 3 bites of it. Not dry at all, very rich, not overly sweet, but again I only had a few bites. I had a lingonberry juice as well as an elderflower one. Elderflower was very floral and reminds me of lychee...Kinda expensive at $1 each. Im glad our meal was comped, the food is cheap, but definitely not worth $32. Cafeteria style, for cafeteria quality food. If I had to pay I would've simply suggested a restaurant close by. If you're hungry and tired from walking around IKEA, and need some food, but you don't really care about what you're eating, it's quick and affordable. Otherwise, eat elsewhere. read more

For Swedish fast food it's pretty good!!! Had the meatballs with Mach and they had this berry sauce it was amazing. Chicken fingers were fresh fries cooked perfect the soup was tasty and creamy. They have a good system and last time I was there that wasn't there so to be honest. I just might hit up ikea for the food. Lmao. Great to have a quick lunch here while shopping - IKEA is brilliant in the way they make a guest walk through the entire store in order to get to the food court as well as in order to get to check out - you can't help but buy something. I have to say, I wasn't quite as impressed with the meatballs as the rest of the free world seems to be. They were pretty good, but not out of this world. I really liked the mashed potatoes, though. Having heard so much about the "now non-horse meat" meatballs, I was super excited to try Ikea's food. Between the boyfriend and I, we had the organic mushroom & cheese crepes and 99 cent breakfast plate (bacon, eggs, potato) for breakfast, and the 15 meatballs for $5.99 for lunch, plus mashed potato, soup, and a drink on the side. The crepes looked a little stingy but the meatballs were wonderful, especially paired with their lingon berry sauce. Everything was delicious UNTIL I GOT FOOD POISONING. I'll spare you the details, but just know that the headaches and trips to the bathroom were not pretty. I can't imagine what went wrong as the boyfriend had everything I did and was fine. Except maybe it was the crepes that he only took two bites of but its plate I licked clean. Or maybe it was the server lady's gloved hand that handled the crepes... same hand that touched everything else. Maybe the glove was more to protect her hand from germs than my food. In conclusion, I am glad to have tried the famous meatballs once, but sorry to say that I'm too chicken to return. If you've never had the meatballs, I still recommend you trying, but wish you have better luck than I did. read more

Good to have lunch/dinner if you are shopping at ikea. After wandering at the showroom, we always like to eat and chill here before we hit down the marketplace. They have classic Swedish meatballs, vegetable bowls, salmon fillet and various ither choices. They give free coffee for ikea family card holders. The food is great for the price- less than 10$ per plate. Nice and big seating area. It gets crowded during weekend peak hours. read more

The Ikea restaurant like the store itself is a great place to fill up on interesting items not found in other stores with a unique Swedish twist for a relative bargain. While queues can be long during peak lunch time (12 - 3PM), they move relatively fast and food is relatively fresh for a cafeteria style restaurant. Their salads are healthy with nice shrimp and salmon options. The main lunch/dinner options have a main entree with mashed potatoes, boiled whole red potatoes (yummy) or fries or sides of vegetables. The main dinners are good except quality of fries has deteriorated over the years. From fresher European style (yum) in earlier years to more run of the mill frozen (yuck) lately. The ligonberry sauce is interesting sweet contrasting taste and adds to the flavor. It is also available in a bottle for purchase in the food store on the ground floor after the furniture checkout. In the food store on the way out, they have some interesting loss leaders like $1 frozen yogurt on a cone, chocolate bars, crackers, juice and apple cider to name a few. So head over to Ikea, whet your appetite walking the maize of interesting furniture, fill-up on good cheap food in the cafeteria, load up on home items and furniture in the marketplace and warehouse only to get a second wind on your appetite in the food store after checkout. Explore, eat, load your carts and eat some more on your way out. You are at Ikea! However be careful, I've rarely left Ikea without a full stomach or a full car. read more

God dammit! I busted my own rule, you fool! SUNDAY 3/4/2018. Was at the Hicksville Sears today because they are going outta business; and when you call to see "what is today's percentage off?" (last week was 60% off and I was merely checking to see if it jumped to 70% off) So-the phone rings about 10 times , then a clear chirpy happy voice message clicked on: (not a voice that anyone who works here as-- they all mumble like they're gargling with peanut butter in their mouths). Voice message : "This is the Hicksville Sears; please leave your name and number and we will get back to you as soon as we can". LOL! Yeah right. And O.J. Simpson is driving around looking for the REAL killer. ( I wanted to leave a message like "Oh my God I've been shot....(gag) ....help me........." ) So now I gots to drive all the f***ing way to Sears just to find out- NO- still stalled out at 60%. (The evil pricks at dying Sears are playing a vicious game: marking UP the prices FULL TICKET THROTTLE - then doing "60% off"-- no deals yet, and even at 70% off, nothing earth shattering). So.. I go to IKEA to have a late lunch... BAD IDEA. Sunday afternoon here is hell on earth with so much pushing and shoving and strollers and people not looking where they're walking OR driving.... But I was so in the mood for their "wedding reception" meatballs in that creamy gravy -- I decide to swim in the toilet with the rats of society just to get food. Oh P.S. the dick-wads at IKEA follow the SEARS mantra "KEEP THE STORE TEMPERATURE HOT ENOUGH TO KEEP REPTILES HAPPY AND GROW ORCHIDS, AND COOK HOT DOGS". Like incredibly HOT in the store. Making life even MORE miserable in there. The actual best part of the meal? The soda fountain had the most delicious soda that I had ever tasted in my entire life! It was a lightly sweet PEAR flavored soda that stayed bubbly till the final sip! (Not sure if IKEA sells this soda here or not?) So yeah- F you Sears, F you IKEA customers, and F you Chic-Fil-A (closed SUNDAYS to observe some antiquated religious bull-crap that only gets observed deep deep down south) And if Chic-Fil-A was OPENED it would have taken some pressure of the IKEA dining room as people would have another food option right outside the mall. Why didn't someone tell me about this?! I was skeptical at first. I said to myself "How good can this cheap meal from Ikea taste?" So I tried the beef short rib, with mashed potatoes and veggies... OMG the meat was so tender and flavorful, the gravy was amazing! And the mashed potatoes were real!! No bag stuff. The veggies were a mix of cauliflower, brussel sprouts, carrots and onions. If you want a little taste of Sweden I highly recommend coming to the IKEA Restaurant on the top floor of the store. The layout of the place is cafeteria style; you line up, order what you want, grab your salad/rolls in one section, and than pay for your order and grab your utensils and cup by the cash register. The tables and hanging lights are of course from the wondrous IKEA selection. The food is delightful and very cheap and affordable. Here is what a meal looks like: 15 Swedish Meatballs $3.99 Small Salad $1.49 Drink (unlimited refills)$1.99 Total: $5.99 + tax= $6.51 My bf and I love sharing the Swedish meatball platter. The meatballs are well prepared and absolutely delish. The Swedish meatballs in IKEA is comparable to the fabulous ones I've tried in a fancy Scandinavian restaurant in the city. The meatballs are covered in this wondrous cream sauce and it comes with a dollop of tasty mash potatoes, and lingonberry jam. A forkful of all of these things will bring a harmonious blend of sweet, creamy, and savory to your mouth. Amazing. They offer lingonberry soda which is tart, sweet and refreshing. It goes well with the meatball feast. The salad is simple but crisp and fresh. They mindlessly go where they see a crowd of people queuing, and they yell at me, make rude comments, stare in shock and disbelief when I am smart enough to read the signs and go to the free cashier who doesn't have anyone waiting in his designated queue. THERE ARE TWO LINES! ONE LINE FOR EACH REGISTER! Maybe if some people use observation and common sense they will make enough money and not have to exclusively buy their meals in IKEA! Swedish meatballs, salmon, and desserts. I wished they served more than just 10 meatballs since they have plenty of frozen bags of it in stock. I tried their marinated smoked salmon. It's pretty on point. It was fresh and the color looked bright and orange. It also comes with a side of salad. As for desserts, the TÅRTA CHOKLADKROKANT is awesome!! It's cheap, ingredients are simple and tasty. Their chocolate mousse cake is pretty good too but it gets very heavy halfway through. The cookie crust is very delicious. There were a few things I disliked about the cafeteria. I think they should discontinue using their glass cups. They were shattering left and right because of little unstable children.
