    Eggs Florentine Benedict

Always a great neighborhood spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today I had the loaded grilled cheese, which had both cheddar and American cheese, avocado, egg, tomato on sourdough bread. It was very good. In fact half a sandwich was enough, and I took the rest home. They also let me swap out french fries for broccoli to save calories. my friend had the mushroom Swiss omelette with a side of grilled tomatoes instead of home fries also very good sandwich was a daily special so the lentil soup came only about $15 total and it was two meals worth. The waitress, Becky was wonderful.

Avocado toast from the brunch menu.

Food: The avocado toast consists of a thin smear of avocado, goat cheeze, and a bed of arugula, topped with a poached egg. Taste is good but not my idea of an avocado toast. It was disappointing because of the lack of avocado in it. Their bacon is crispy. This is memorable, but I can't have that much bacon, personal diet preference. The coffee they serve is not the best, but if you add a sweetener and milk, it's acceptable. They handed me the bill as i was still trying to finish my meal. I did not ask for it. Service: They do get busy, and they do try to move the tables along. But can you wait for me to finish my meal? Ambiance: Decent. I need to find a new brunch spot.

It is a good diner but the real jewel of this place is an amazing waitress Becky- she is the most friendly, professional and beautiful waitress you can ever wish for. She truly makes you feel welcome and at home. Overall good food, big portions, variety of brunch meals, clean and spacious location. They also have free 90min parking behind the building.

I love this diner! Today I had a build your own burger! It was delish! My favorite part of this place is the staff!

Apparently Ice Tea went up .40 than what the menu says.

Ordered delivery from their "PW Diner" online menu. I was charged $19.45 for a turkey club sandwich when the menu clearly states 16.95. A burger deluxe should only be $13.50 and was charged 15 Was charged .50 more for 2 muffins when I only asked for 1. When I went into the diner to talk to the manager I was met with resistance. "Oh you must be looking at an old menu. You sure it was on our website"? When I said yes and tried to show them their menu, screenshots on my phone, and their error, they walked away..... I've been going there and online ordering for at least 10 years. To do this to a good loyal customer is unacceptable. It was their problem to fix not the customers. Instead of crediting me apologizing they tried to give me the in dining menu as some sort of consolation. People ordering from home are being charged more without knowing. FIX YOUR PROBLEM instead of blaming the customer who's at home looking at YOUR online menu. A good honest business would never walk away from a good customer. It just proves they know the online menu is wrong and dont care about customer. $19.45 for a sandwich is beyond ridiculous. So is $15 for a hamburger when according to THEIR menu it should only be $13.50. Never going there again. Good luck with their games!

    Old dried up cheese burger.

I've been a customer of the Port Washington Diner for many years. I order the same item all the time - a cheese burger deluxe medium rare and Sprite. They cook the burger medium rare correctly about 65% of the time. The rest of the time I send it back. I finally told myself that if they mess it up again I will never return. Tonight was not busy at the diner. I placed my usual order. The burger was medium well and dry. I knew there was going to be a problem when the food was served in less then 5 minutes - it was an old burger sitting on the grille. Some people may say it's my fault for not sending it back. I've done that too many times. I shouldn't have to tell a diner how to cook a burger. It's not a steak, chicken, fisher, or veal. IT'S JUST A BURGER! And by the way, the fries taste like old cardboard. The Sprite was good. Time to look elsewhere to eat.

It is a nice spot for local Port Washington residents and I like that it's on main street with parking in the rear of the building.

I ordered a grilled steak salad . Enjoyed every bite and used a piece of bread to soak up the delicious dressing. Highly recommend.

They have a beautiful dining patio outside and a humble interior. The bathroom is easy to get to and spacious. Everything is at grade level which is even better for handicapped people. I had a party of six and we sat outside. There was a good mix of shade and sun for those who didn't mind being a little cold or hot. The restaurant was able to accommodate us on Easter Sunday an hour earlier than they originally do open, so we would be guaranteed a place to eat. (Every other option was fully booked a week in advance!) The food was really good. We had a mix of beer and boba shakes for those of us who are sober. The kimchi pancakes were perfect and no shellfish to be frightful of in regards to allergies. We tried their popcorn chicken and one was a little sweet and spicy and the other was plain. We shared edamame. And everyone was happy with their dishes whether it be the vegetarian japchae, beef bulgogi, dolsot bibimbap with an egg, house salad, soup, chicken katsu, etc! Only one star removed because the veggies were still more raw than cooked in the dolsot bibimbap. I know we were a large group, but cooking it a little extra would have been preferred. Happy eats!

Ali the owner and his talented staff always make the experience great no matter how busy the restaurant is. I came here with very good friends of mine that I knew loved Turkish food. We came here on Saturday night and when I arrived the restaurant was packed. Despite that we never felt rushed, they were well staffed and worked together as a well oiled machine to make the experience flawless. The weather was perfect so we sat outside, there is ample parking either in their parking lot or across the street. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hand blown glass chandeliers from Turkey. For the sake of brevity I'm going to list all the dishes we had. Each one had its own unique flavor down to the Lavos Hollow bread with its slightly buttery flavor. You have to try each one. Prices are very fair and portions are great. We had the eggplant with tomato sauce, Turkish Ezme, Calves liver cubes, a large Shepherd salad, for appetizers. For entrees we had two of the Bronzino, the Shrimp Shish, and the Lamb Shish. For desert we had the Chocolate Baklava, the Kunefe, the Turkish coffee, and a of the Apple tea. Ali made a couple of special dishes including an eggplant dish and home made hot Halvah for desert. It's amazing how small the world really is. My friends thought they knew the owner Ali but could not pinpoint from where. After talking for a while they realized they knew him from when he worked at another Turkish restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn called Liman. It has since moved to Coney Island. Ali opened Bosporus Cafe Grill in Port Washington in 2014 and I'm am glad he took the risk to go out on his own. His business partner is the chef and is also a butcher. They've combined their talents to provide one of the best restaurants experiences you will ever have. I've been coming here for several years and it never gets old. I highly recommend them for great food, service and atmosphere. There's a lot to see in Port Washington and you can take a stroll by the water afterwards.
