CRAZY IKEA FOOD DEAL... Love this Ikea and come here twice a week for their legendary carton of cinnamon buns for $8.00, but I just found even a better food deal upstairs. I knew there was a restaurant here upstairs that people chat about but thought it was merely a cheap Swedish cafeteria. Well, im here today to tell you I was Wrong, completely. Full service breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, Swedish pancakes, croissants, cinnamon or blueberry scone, Swedish meatballs and corn bread. The cashier, David, kindly explained the Saturday Big Breakfast Deal from 10a - 11a. **Scrambled Eggs, Potatoes and Bacon $1.25 with FREE COFFEE** Easy to QR code to download the Ikea Family Membership card - lock it in to enjoy the perks. Now I get why its so busy here. I assume they hope you buy a full bedroom set after you eat breakfast. They also offer a lunch menu with chicken wraps, salads, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and dont forget the daily hot self serve unlimited coffee for $1.50.

Can't say I was even remotely full after this meal but thanks, IKEA for thinking of the vegans lol I did get a veggie dog and the cinnamon rolls on the way out of the store, which I was surprised that the fresh baked cinnamon rolls are 'accidentally' vegan! I like how the nutritional information is available for each item and the prices are pretty reasonable but even as a small woman, I needed more to eat. My son was r hungry so I just got some cookies and pop for him. My mom got the Cod dish that comes with your choice of two sides and also said the same thing after eating, that she definitely was not full. The food is fairly healthy so at least there's that. The lunch-line concept is also different and it makes ordering pretty quick. I did feel pretty rushed, but at least I didn't have much to choose from.

Imagine if every shop served coffee and cake. What a beautiful day it would be to run errands. Plus IKEA gives free coffee with their free IKEA Family card. They also have special sales and party nights where they celebrate Swedish festivals in the restaurant. And I can always get salmon there. I need to visit Sweden.

Tip #1: with the orange family card, all coffee is free all the time. Tip#2: sign up with your birthdate and they send you an email on your birthday for a free meatball meal & a coupon for $15 off your next in store purchase. Review: breakfast is a great deal. Under $1 for basic scrambled eggs, potatoes and 2 sausage links. Also free coffee and tea during breakfast. The bistro opens before the regular store hours. The staff is friendly and they have more that just the basic breakfast. They have lox and bagels, croissants and swedish pancakes. The lingonberry is authentic to the Swedish diet and it is a nice and quiet meal most of the time. There is a kids dining/play area with a video cartoon to keep kids entertained and there are all the kid dining accessories to heat bottles and keep kids at the table. Plenty of out of towners visit as a tourist destination...(not sure why) but they are very family friendly.

I have been told never to go shopping on an empty stomach. Since we do not have an IKEA near us in NY we decided to drive to this one in Florida. Ok not entirely true as this is the closest one to my in-laws in Plantation. I had dental surgery recently so I stuck with the meatballs and the potato broccoli. The potato broccoli was surprisingly good. The meatballs were as expected. Now that the stomachs are full let the shopping begin.

I guess the Yelp marketing worked! We must have had IKEA on our minds after the BPB Yelp games! Today we were deciding between our usual array of diners for brunch and my 10 year old junior Yelper exclaimed, "Why not go to IKEA?" Always up for a change of pace, we agreed. The only challenge about IKEA, especially on a weekend, can be parking, but luckily we we able to grab a spot close to the entrance. At just past noon, the cafeteria was busy, but not packed. My husband and I shared a smoked salmon plate for an appetizer. It had some shaved veggies and dressing on top which complemented the salmon really well. For less than $5.00, this's was a bargain. I guess everything at IKEA Restaurant is pretty cheap though! All four of us went for Swedish Meatballs. For $7.99 you can get them with a side, a drink, and a soup or salad. The meatballs are good. They do taste a little like the frozen meatballs I buy for my kids at Costco, but the sauce elevates them a bit. For my side I had veggies. Again, they tasted frozen. The rest of my family got either mashed potatoes or mac & cheese, which they liked. The soup of the day was Carrot Ginger. I did not like this soup at all. It tasted like hot puréed carrots without anything else added...not for me. I tasted the cornbread which was soft, sweet, moist, and delicious. There is not a huge variety but there are other cold items offered, as well as other hot meals such as ribs and chicken tenders. IKEA Restaurant is a great place to stop for sustenance if one is shopping at IKEA. I don't know if we will return on a regular basis when we are not shopping, but I can see coming back once in a blue moon when we tire of our regular diner routine and want a fast, reasonable meal.

    Cannot stop eating.

Let me just say, the idea of having a full-scale restaurant in your department store is pure genius (take note Target). The fact that the food is actually good makes it even better. Doesn't shopping make you hungry? well fortunately IKEA hooks you up with some good food on the cheap. You need to eat because you know you'll be spending a good 4 hours walking around the maze that is IKEA anyway. This place has everything (and I'm talking about the cafeteria). The Swedish meatballs are a staple. For $6.99 you get them with a side of mashed potatoes, salad and a drink. Personally, my favorite is the chicken fingers, I know, I know. but they are delicious. The fries are pretty great too. Also, big shout out to whoever makes the garlic bread because it's always on point. For those lighter eaters (not me), they have various salads and wraps to choose from too. There is also a kids menu and breakfast menu when available. It's also pretty genius when you sit to eat that you're sitting on IKEA furniture. Clever guys, clever. The American in me wishes the drink glasses were larger. The American in me also loves that the ranch dressing is self pumping so I can load up as much as I want on America's favorite dressing. The prices are uber cheap, unless you are me and order one of everything. They even have ribs. RIBS. You can buy ribs you guys and they look amazing! You will never go home hungry at IKEA. If you do then there is seriously something wrong. And if you ever go there on a weekend look for me and Lena C gnawing on some meatballs and mac & cheese. We'll be there. Promise.

IKEA has the BEST chicken tenders ever!!! They are so lightly breaded and the chicken meat is juicy and delicious. The food in general is always delicious and they have great prices. I don't think anything costs more than $7. The restaurant is probably my favorite part about coming to IKEA. I also love that they have chicken meatballs now because I don't eat pork so I can't have their regular meatballs.

Ok it's Ikea, and yea they have those infamous meatballs....but i'm not a fan. They have several options on this heavily all things salmon oriented menu but today i had a really good veggie wrap, an above average tomato and feta soup. Highlight was the chocolate cake...I'm talking as good or better than Cheesecake Factory chocolate cake. Yep, just reviewed an Ikea food court,

With working overnight and getting back in the early morning, I would be craving "dinner" at 7am versus a breakfast spread. I found a lot of places selling breakfast at these early hours, but Johan's Joe was the only place I found that sold lunch items. On my first visit here, I got their Swedish meatballs platter and a lavender cardamom lemonade. I instantly fell in love. In fact, out of the 15 days of staying in West Palm Beach, I ate at Johan's Joe 11 times. Every single time I'd get a plate of Swedish meatballs. I also began to try out other items, like their waffles on the weekend, scrambled eggs, bacon, and soup. All fantastic. For beverages, I always got their lavender cardamom lemonade and later discovered the orange juice to be really good, too. How did I manage to eat Swedish meatballs 11 times in 2 weeks? I was curious, too. Upon reflecting, I realized how perfect the platter really is. It offers perfect balance. Let me explain: Texturally, there's a crispness from the pickled cucumbers, a slight pop from the whole lingonberries, a bounce from the meatballs, and creaminess from the mashed potatoes and gravy. The dish also has a mix of sweetness (lingonberries), tartness (pickled cucumbers), and salt (meatballs). There's even a mix of temperatures with the main platter being hot, while the lingonberries and cucumbers are cold. With only time to eat one meal a day, this turned out to have everything on one plate. Exactly what I craved and needed. The service here was very friendly, all the employees were polite and offered great service. It was also nice to see that there were also a handful of local regulars who I'd see every time. They definitely know how to create a welcoming and cozy spot. After leaving the area, I found myself actually missing this spot quite a bit. I will be back again for work soon, so I'll be able to get my meatball fix again. Thanks, Johan's Joe!

The IKEA restaurant, or better said cafeteria, has a variety of items including meatloaf, chicken, and of course swedish meatballs (both vegan and non vegan options). The meatballs which come with two sides, typically mash potatoes and peas are usually the popular choice. My wife opted for the chicken dish with a side of mixed veggies and sweet plantains because of course it's a Miami IKEA. I went with the traditional meatballs. I feel the meals are always at a good price point but unfortunately they needed salt. We had to laugh as the sweet plantains made every bite better. It was just a flavor bomb compared to everything else. We laughed as Swedish meets Latin food and boom...flavor country. If you ever saw that classic Bambi meets Godzilla, you would understand how I felt about Swedish food meets Latin Fried Plantains. The desserts are very good.
