Absolutely outstanding Italian food, really romantic ambiance (inside a historic building), great service but slow when at peak dinner time. What to order: - Any pasta! - Broiled striped bass - If there's a Risotto special, order it. Perfectly cooked! Must-get Dessert: table side Zabaione Al Ramandolo with mixed berries Great wine selection too.

Amazing food and service from the get-go! Waiters and host were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They treated me and my mother to a wonderful dinner and even gave us complementary appetizers and dessert wine. Would definitely recommend!

Awww, Il Gattopardo will forever hold a place in my heart as it was the site of my surprise birthday dinner with some of my favorite people. But enough about me. Here's why you should visit: - Complimentary arancini. And it's abundant and DELICIOUS. Free fried balls of gluten joy--what's not to love? - Parmigiana of zucchini with fior di latte: Because simple yet savory is what Italian food is all about. - Sardinian fregola: Unique and fungus-y - Artisanal spaghetti: A briney salt bomb in every bite mixed with the most al dante spaghetti you'll come across outside of Sardinia - Codfish in casseruola: Mmmm, tender and tomato-y. - Roasted rabbit leg: Gamey but well-cooked The only skip is the Grilled Octopus. It was really under-seasoned and bland. Also, they give free shortbread cookies and biscotti as a parting gift. Mmmm, more free gluten. And whatever you do, get the Lychee Basil Sake Martini, so you can be a predictable basic b*tch like me. It's all the flavors modern ladies love.

Hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in midtown. Very authentic - the staff are all Italian and it shows! Came for their Sunday brunch, all the options looked excellent but we settled on the spaghetti carbonara and the omelette which was recommended by our waiter. All the food was excellent but I have slight regrets about not choosing 2 spaghetti dishes, cause the texture of the pasta was amazing. Will have to come back again soon although my wallet may need some time to recover. The prices are a little high but you are getting a proper white tablecloth restaurant with professional staff.

Branzino... just a little olive oil and lemon juice. Perfection.

We opted for the outdoor seating which meant, in this particular case, that our table was on the sidewalk with pedestrians (not that many) walking by within two feet of our table. Still charming. Still cozy. Our server, Leonardo, was accommodating and friendly. Wine was good, food was great and came out at the right time. The table-side de-boning of the branzino was done flawlessly and both the branzino (big branzino) and the halibut were great. The complimentary basket of bread (OK... two complimentary baskets of bread) had some amazing breads (3 or 4 different kinds). Not for nothing... the bathrooms were as clean and beautiful as restaurant bathrooms get.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Found this place because it had some relation to Michelin stars but I don't remember how. I made a reservation but honestly didn't need one as there were still plenty of seats. We sat outside and it was quite nice! Started off with some bread appetizers with olive oil. We were also treated with a complimentary appetizer which I believe were some sort of rice balls. Meal was off to a great start. I ordered the pan-seared venison loin and it was PHENOMENIAL! The meat was so tender and the juices were amazing. The sauce had such distinct and complimentary flavours that I was honestly baffled at how good it was. The timballo was also so tasty - but definitely could taste more potato than anything which I liked. I was also able to try some of the pasta and it was so delicious! The pasta itself, the sauces, and the meats and veggies that came with the dishes were all cooked and seasoned so well. I ordered some of the Silene red wine to go with my food and it was very tasty alongside the meal, so wine is definitely a plus with the experience. Overall, I had a great time and the food was amazing. The head of the restaurant sometimes comes by to talk to us so got to learn a bit more about Italian culture which I liked. It's a very nice environment but definitely dress nicely. Bathroom is nice too. Food is expensive but I think you should expect that when coming here. Honestly, some of the best Italian food I've had in my life and I'm thankful that I came here. Have to come again to try some of their other stuff.

One of my favorite restaurants in Midtown East, and a consistent favorite throughout the years. The place is simply classic, the ambience and service always nice, the food is always delicious, and a pretty sure bet for a good evening on a date night or an evening to entertain. While their specialties are are definitely more towards gluten full, they have great gluten-free options as well, and very tasty ones at that. I've thoroughly enjoyed both the risotto and pastas, and their meat mains are divine. A little bit on the pricey side, but a fantastic place for an occasional treat. I got to try out their recent outdoor dining set up in my most recent visit (August) and thought the tent was quite nice, though I admit before the pandemic, sitting outdoors was much more romantic without the tent, and made you feel like you were temporarily transported to Europe. But it was nice and I would definitely do it again. Look forward to our next visit to my favorite big cat restaurant.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

It's a small area with the tables pretty close together. We were given a table in the far corner, which was perfect for comfort and looking out at the restaurant. Two of us each ordered a glass of house wine, which were "ok." We opted for the Boqueria Experience, which is $65 per person and includes a variety of chef-selected tapas, a paella and an order of the restaurant's special JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA, which is described on the charcuterie menu as aged 48 months, with deep marbling, rich and nutty flavor. We enjoyed most of the tapas, including the potatoes, the beef/lamb balls, the salad and bruschetta. The croquettes were "ok" with the heavy aeoli masking some of the flavor. The seafood paella was good and was different from ones I've had in the past, with the caramelized layer on the bottom. Yum. Honestly, none of us was a big fan of the Jamon Iberico de Bellota. I'm sure it's special and luxurious, but we found it not to have much flavor. Frankly, it was a big disappointment for us. The service was beyond excellent. We were very pleased with the timing of the presentation of the meal, the superb water service and the general enthusiasm and pleasantness of the Staff. We will come back and try different items on the ala carte menu. I thought there would be more seafood and meat tapas offerings in the "Experience". Instead, it was a lot of cheese, vegetables, dates and bread. Although $65 per person likely was a good value for what we got, I think the tapas items were heavy on the lower cost tapas and that it wasn't a true top-of-the-line "Experience". A seafood dish or even a chicken dish (chicken wings) instead of one of the two croquette offerings would have helped.

We shared the crispy artichokes (outstanding) and the cacio e Pepe arancini (where the fried parsley was especially unique and delicious) to start.
